00:00We can speak out more. We've been attending press conferences calling attention and raising the alarm about the massive cuts that are being proposed, having testimonials, making sure that the public understands that these are not just numbers, they're not just random programs.
00:23These are our lives. These are our neighbors. These are the systems that the most vulnerable in our country rely on. And once they are broken, it will take decades to rebuild them.
00:34And as you've heard, we've also been protesting quite often.
00:43I myself had the honor of joining 150,000 people in D.C. at the hands of protests and watching millions across the country do so, including my colleagues that are sitting on the stage.
01:02We have been meeting with people and organizations that are impacted, who you will hear from in a little bit, to make sure that we are galvanizing public opinion.
01:17And I know that my colleagues, as they spoke to, are doing the same.
01:22As we speak, we are raising the alarm about snatching our neighbors and deporting them into foreign countries and in a black hole in a prison for life for not doing a single crime.
01:36We are coordinating efforts across all levels of government and types of power. We are meeting with Attorney Generals and understanding the lawsuits that they are filing so that we can support them.
01:54We are working within the state and local governments to make sure they are providing backup. Congress is getting information from whistleblowers to inform these efforts.
02:05We are strategizing nonstop on how to make sure that the most limited power, how to use the most of the limited power that we have.
02:16As a member of the Progressive Caucus and the Black Caucus, we are working with our outside groups to organize and make sure we understand the impact that are getting our communities ready to defend themselves.
02:29We are doing weekly share information meetings to make sure that we are all on the same page and that we are coming up with strategies to defend you.
02:39And lastly, my office is working directly with individuals that are impacted.
02:44We are fighting for individual people's social security benefits, immigration paperwork, tax return, their access to disabilities, and making sure that they have all that they need from our federal government.
