00:10and he is doing his best to try and pull George Clooney into it,

00:17They did a piece where he was critical of the president and really all of D.C.
00:23and the way it's been running since this administration came into power.
00:27Well, President Trump saw that and fired back, basically calling Clooney a second-rate movie star.
00:35Also took a shot at 60 Minutes for doing a puff piece.
00:39So here's George Clooney this morning.
00:41He was sitting down with Gayle King, and this is his response to President Trump.

00:49We were just saying that about you the other day, George.

00:55You know, we're saying it in jest, but what was your reaction?
00:58I don't care.
00:59I mean, I've known Donald Trump for a long time.
01:01You know, my job is not to please, you know, the president of the United States.
01:07My job is to try to tell the truth when I can and when I have the opportunity.
01:11And look, I'm well aware of the idea that people will not like that.
01:17There will be people that criticize that, and there are certainly people.
01:19You know, Elon Musk has, you know, weighed in every once in a while.
01:24That's their right to do it, and it's my right to say the other side.
01:28It's, I mean, it's hardly a war.
01:30You know, it's like Trump's gone after so many people that this isn't even a skirmish.

01:38It's like, it's just what happens.
01:40If Clooney wanted to take the bait, then he would fire back up.

01:45Do you know one of the reasons I think he hasn't taken the bait?
01:48Because there's still a big controversy over the whole Biden thing.
01:52And it's true George Clooney came out and said Joe Biden should sit this one out.
01:56But he said it really late.
01:58And what's come out is a lot of people have said that they knew for a long, long time.
02:04But Clooney has said that he didn't know, and that's why he spoke up.
02:08But he's so, listen, I am way less connected than George Clooney.
