00:00After years of yasus, the highly anticipated multistage elite cycling event, the Tour of Luzon, is set to make a comeback this coming April 23.
00:09For the details, here's a report from Jamaica Bayaca.
00:17After a five-year break, cyclists will once again pedal in the much-awaited return of the Tour of Luzon 2025, which will run from April 23 to May 1.
00:27The Tour of Luzon is a grand cycling race that was first held in 1995 to 1998.
00:32It's made a comeback in 2002 under the name La Tour de Filipinas but once again stopped due to the pandemic.
00:38This year, 17 cycling teams will compete in this extensive race including the four International Cycling Union or UCI Continental teams,
00:477-11 Click Road Bike Philippines, Standard Insurance Philippines, Go4Gold Philippines, and Victoria Sports Pro Cycling Team,
00:54along with ASC Monster Indonesia, Malaysian Pro Cycling Team, CCN Racing Factory Hong Kong,
01:00Brighton Racing Team Taiwan, and the Singapore National Team.
01:03More teams are also joining the lineup for the Tour of Luzon.

01:10Birina Orion Cement,
01:12One Cycling Mingdanao,
01:13MPT Drive Hub,
01:15One Team Iloilo,
01:16Philippine Army Exodus,
01:18and Under-23 Tom & Toms.
01:20The competition is an eight-stage race that will travel from Bawai in Ocas Norte to Komp Chonhei in Baguio City.
01:26After the opening ceremony on April 23, the first leg will immediately take place on April 24,
01:32a 190.7-kilometer loop from the Waisir Pagutboot followed by a 68.39-kilometer team-time trial heading to Vigan in Ocasur.
01:40Stage 3 features a 130.33-kilometer pedal from Vigan to San Wanda Union,
01:45followed by a 162.97-kilometer route from Agu to Clark via Mount Arter Highway for Stage 4.
01:52Next stage is a 166.65-kilometer loop around New Clark City at Darlok.
01:58Stage 6 will take riders from Clark to Linggayan, Pangasinan, spanning 168.19-kilometers.
02:04This is followed by a short 15.14-kilometer individual time trial from Labrador, Pangasinan to Linggayan on Stage 7 on April 30.
02:12On May, the race concludes with a 172.53-kilometer ride from Linggayan to a top-of-the-hill finish at Scout Hill inside Komp Chonhei in Baguio,
02:22where the top team and top cyclist will be awarded.
02:25The winning team will take home 1 million pesos and a one-year possession of the Tour of Luzon Perpetual Trophy.
02:31Meanwhile, the general individual classification winner will take home 500,000 pesos,
02:35and 100,000 pesos will be awarded to the Eagle of the Mountain, Jabay Kamayaka from the National TV Network for a new and better Philippines.
