00:41after that so it's important that now we continue this momentum and uh you know really find a way

00:56uh i don't think there's anything to do with the pitch to be honest you know it's it's important
01:13that as a batting unit we read the pitch quick enough uh i feel that somewhere that we have not
01:19uh really done uh as well as possible to be honest uh we have not been up to the mark but that's part of
01:26the tournament that i feel as you know it's always uh has challenges and uh this is a challenge that uh
01:32for us as a team it's important that we find a way and definitely we have some really experienced and
01:37uh talented cricketers in the side i'm sure uh we'll put our heads together and come up with a plan for
01:42the next home game uh nothing really special to be honest i've been batting pretty well this season
01:52i've enjoyed my batting uh that's the most important part uh over the last uh year or so i've really
01:58worked hard on getting to where i am in t20 cricket uh obviously the previous couple of years wasn't uh
02:05ideal it wasn't great i i wasn't up to the mark and i was the first one to take responsibility for that
02:11and once you take that responsibility and understand that you weren't good enough i think
02:15that's where you can then start getting better and that's all that it took you know to be honest
02:19i had to just go back uh to the drawing board and really work on myself
02:27as you talked about that this season you have been doing great and did have a good year last time
02:32what are the things you worked on yeah definitely with uh dk and andy the last two three months before
02:39the ipel have been really important for me you know uh not just technically we have made some
02:45changes but also tactically the knowledge that they have uh the understanding of how bowlers think and
02:52that kind of knowledge and that little bit of extra edge that it gives you was something really
02:56important for me coming into the season it's helped me plan my innings a lot better and uh i feel in in
03:01the ipel is very important that you have clarity in your head when once you go out to go out there to
03:06bat because everything is very fast-paced so i feel dk and andy have really helped me uh getting that
03:11structure and clarity in my batting
03:34uh definitely he's got he uh he's played a couple of games uh obviously that's not enough of a sample
03:40size for players to show their talent but uh i'm sure uh there's a long tournament and everyone in
03:46the side is really important you know it's not just uh the 11 that is playing uh the 15 16 22 guys
03:52whoever how many ever there is in the squad everyone is important and i'm sure at some point
03:57will come into the side as well and uh he'll be really helpful for us as well we'll do one last
04:01question yes uh yeah definitely you know uh when you have someone who's so experienced and calm under
04:14these circumstances it makes your job very easy uh because he knows how to uh you know lead the team
04:20to to victory and that's really important when you're chasing down scores because uh it's very easy to get
04:25carried away in certain situations and think that you can keep going but he understands when to uh you
04:30know take his foot of the gas and then when to press on it and when you have that kind of uh you know
04:35calculation and uh that kind of tactical knowledge uh during a chase it's it makes the job for the
04:41other bathroom very easy
