01:37The creative arts club is a program where kids come after school and they make art together.
01:42We offer classes in visual arts where people draw and paint.
01:47We also offer classes in piano, guitar, violin, recorder and singing.

01:56Creative arts club has 45 students and my son Gabriel attends creative arts club.
02:01Gabriel is on the autism spectrum and creative arts club has given him tools he never would have had in a traditional school setting.

02:11So as a part of our organization we put on a block party that we call The Happening.
02:16It's a full day event to celebrate the year that we have had for all the students, the families.
02:22We have these incredible art projects that people do on site and then we have bands and it's a really engaging, energetic time for everybody to come together as a community.
02:31We're really looking for a way to raise money for the block party to get new amps for our guitars, to get new microphones for our singers, to get new art tables.
02:40I think they were literally built 20 years ago, so it's time. It's time for an upgrade, for sure.
