00:18as Camavinga hits the winner.
00:24And Sevilla dispense with coach Xavi Garcia-Pimienta after a loss to a resurgent Valencia.
00:37These are the full results from matchday 31 of the La Liga EA Sports season.

01:52Barcelona have gone 12 league games without defeat after earning all three points at Butarque.
02:11They were able to beat Leganes by a solitary goal which was an own goal that came after
02:18half-time. In the first half Borja Jiménez's side asked big questions of the league leaders.
02:26Adria Altimira had a wonderful chance to open the scoring on 13 minutes he was denied by
02:31Szczesny. At the other end Jules Koundé came close to finding the score sheet but his deflected
02:39effort was tipped around the post by Marco Dimitrovic who had performed so well when
02:46Leganes beat Barcelona earlier on this season. After half an hour Lamine Yamal hit the side
02:54netting. Hansi Flick's side was struggling to break through a solid Lega defence and they
03:02suffered a setback when Balde went off injured before half-time replaced by Gerard Martin.
03:12Lega's top goalscorer Danny Rabba had a chance to put the hosts in front. He couldn't take
03:18that chance having been teed up by Jan Diomande. And then in stoppage time at the end of the
03:24first half Rafinha made a brilliant challenge to help keep Leganes at bay. Rossier to Altimira
03:34who centred for Rabba and Rafinha defended absolutely brilliantly. After half-time the
03:44league leaders went in front. Rafinha's cross turned in by defender Jorge Sainz. An own goal
03:52with 47 minutes played and this proved to be the only goal. Gerard Martin had won possession. Rafinha crossed
04:04towards Lewandowski and Sainz was unfortunate. Barcelona never found a second goal. They came so close through
04:14Fermin Lopez who seemed to have done the hard part with his jinking skillful run. But he dragged
04:24his finish wide and Leganes still had hope of finding an equaliser.
04:29Barcelona then missed the target when Lewandowski headed wide before Laminya Mal fired straight at
04:41Dmitrovic. It remained 1-0 at this stage and relegation threatened Leganes. Thought they'd equalised
04:51through Rabba with 20 minutes to play but he was offside. Up went the flag and this goal didn't
04:59stand. There was then a glorious chance for substitute Diego Garcia. Teed up by Juan Cruz. He sent his
05:11effort wide. Substitute Ferran Torres hit the target for Barcelona who never found that
05:22second goal. Sainz almost scored a second own goal. The ball bounced off him and just wide with nine
05:34minutes remaining. There was a late yellow card for Dani Rabba who will now serve a one-match suspension
05:41and missed the trip to Mallorca. And Barcelona had to dig deep. They had a really nervous moment in
05:53stoppage time at the end of the match. Munir threw on goal and Inigo Martinez with a monumental challenge
06:01to help keep the clean sheet. It finished at Butarque. Leganes 0-0 Barcelona 1.
06:12Kylian Mbappé was sent off at Mendy Cerosa but Eduardo Camavinga's goal was enough to give Real Madrid all three points
06:28against Alaves. Davide Ancelotti was on the touchline. Carlo Ancelotti serving a one-match touchline ban.
06:38Early chance for Real Madrid with the ball over the top for Arda Guller. He doesn't make the best of the opportunity.
06:42No foul from Jesus Awano and a missed chance for Madrid to take an early lead. Guller starting up front with
06:53Mbappé and Rodrigo. Vinicius and Bellingham both rested on the bench. Asensio thought he'd scored his first goal
07:02in a Real Madrid shirt from a corner but the goal would be ruled out. Rudiger backing into Awano
07:10knocking him over and the foul given instead of the goal once referee Cesar Sotogrado had checked it pitch side.
07:26Real Madrid would take the first half lead though and it was Eduardo Camavinga who got the goal. It's been a while since he scored.
07:34He has to go right the way back to March 2022 for his last goal. It was a very good team move.
07:42Guller, Camavinga, Valverde and Camavinga with the shot bent around the dive of Jesus Awano.
07:51So 1-0 to Real Madrid. Alaves kept going forward. Carlos Vincente was very lively down the right wing for them
07:59and that was his cross shot that Fizz just passed Courtois' post.
08:12Then came the moment that we thought might change the game. It's a dreadful challenge from Mbappé. You can see the reaction from
08:18Gian Gordano who's seen it close up and knows how bad it is. At first the yellow card comes out but once
08:24Jesus Hill Manzano the video assisted referee alerts Cesar Sotogrado. He comes across to look at it again.
08:29There can only be one decision. It has to be read.
08:32Mbappé off down the tunnel.
08:36No long-term damage done to Blanco.
08:41But an awful, awful challenge from Mbappé.
08:45So 10 against 11 and it was that way until midway through the second half when
08:49substitute Vinicius was fouled by Manu Sanchez and it was the same story. It was checked
08:55pitch side and the referee deciding that another red card was due. Not quite as bad as the Mbappé one
09:01but all the same ascending off. And so we were back to the same number of players on both sides.
09:0910 against 10. You can see Eduardo Caldette in the background there with his head in his hands.
09:14He knows that it will be much harder for Alaves to come back into the game now that it's 10 against 10.
09:20Real Madrid had their opportunities to score a second. Fede Valverde with this shot just wide
09:26of a 1-0's goal.
09:29And there was another chance for man of the match Camavinga as well. Abka sliding in,
09:33pulled a hamstring in the process, making the block.
09:49He was unable to continue. Also Tiara came on in his place.
09:55Alaves were caught playing the ball between central defenders here.
10:01Vinicius and Bellingham combining. And Bellingham's shot draws a fine save from Jesus Awano.
10:11Real Madrid kept going in search of the second goal despite the one-goal advantage.
10:17And that is the way it ended in Mendy Cerosa. The final score, Alaves nil. Real Madrid won.
10:34Matchday 31 in La Liga EA Sports brought us the game between Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano at San Mames.
10:40Both sides needing three points coming into this one. Athletic Club because they had drawn quite
10:45a few of their most recent games. Rayo had only won one of their previous seven ahead of this trip to Bilbao.
10:51They were the better side in the first half. The visitors Pedro DĂaz did the first chance,
10:55but only putting it wide of the target. Corca Guruceta did the same at the other end minutes later.
11:02Rayo Vallecano were awarded a penalty with 10 minutes left to play in the half following this
11:12half volley effort from Alvaro GarcĂa. Once he'd let fly on the shot, he was actually caught in the
11:17thigh by Dani Vivian. Initially, the referee did not give a penalty. And after a VAR check and Alvaro
11:25GarcĂa showing the referee that the studs of Dani Vivian had clearly caught his thigh,
11:30it was overturned and penalty was given. Upstepped Pedro DĂaz, but he had his penalty
11:36kept out by Unai Simon, only for Pathetis to score the rebound.
11:44Pedro DĂaz had scored three of Rayo Vallecano's five goals ahead of this game.
11:50All three from outside the box and this time from inside the penalty area, he was unable to beat Unai Simon.
11:56Luckily for him, Pathetis was there to save his blushes and give Rayo the lead in La Catedral.
12:05Marouan Sanadi in the second half was then brought down by Espino, and after another VAR check,
12:11it was a penalty given for Athletic Club. Sanadi and Sanset were brought on at half-time,
12:18and it was Sanset to dispatch the penalty to make it 1-1.
12:29Very well taken penalty by Sanset. Goal number 14 for him in La Liga EA Sports.
12:36Iñaki Williams was also brought on in the second period.
12:42Yeah, he would set up Marouan Sanadi, who just hit the side netting in an attempt to give his side the lead.
12:51There was a shout for a penalty again for Rayo, as Unai Lopez went down in the box,
12:57following a good save from Unai Simon to Dani Alvaro GarcĂa,
13:00but the referee said there was no contact, and it was indeed the right decision.
13:09Iñaki Williams got on the end of this corner from his younger brother Nico,
13:12who would also come onto the pitch. The referee claimed that Iñaki Williams' header came off the back of Espino,
13:18and another corner was given, and from that corner Nico Williams did this.
13:23What an unbelievable goal that is. A lovely left-footed strike with 10 minutes left to play
13:27to give Athletic Club the lead at San Mames. His fifth goal of the season in La Liga,
13:32he's now equalled his tally from the entirety of last season, but he probably won't score a better goal than that this term.
13:45Chances kept on coming from the home side as they looked to kill off the game.
13:48Marouan Sanadi from long range tried his luck, but could not find the top corner.
13:57Next up it was Jaureguizar on target, but a bit of a tame effort in terms of power.
14:01Augusto Batalla was able to keep the score line at 2-1, but only for a few more minutes,
14:08as Oscar Valentin would go on to have his pocket picked here by Jaureguizar,
14:12and Marouan Sanadi would set up Ojan Sanet, who from outside the box left Augusto Batalla,
14:18rooted to his line, and put the ball in the top corner to secure all three points for the host.
14:24Goal number 15 this season for Ojan Sanet. He scored two off the bench against Rayo in the first game
14:30between these two back in Madrid in December. He scored another two off the bench, this time in Bilbao,
14:35to make it 3-1 for Athletic Club against Rayo.
14:52Athletic Club completed a great comeback against Rayo Vallecano, which moved them closer to fourth
14:58place. The victory wasn't completely sealed until the final minutes, when Ojan Sanet scored with a work of art.
15:05In added time, Sanadi connected with Sanet on the edge of the box, and the number eight pulled a delightful
15:17strike into the top corner past goalkeeper Augusto Batalla. Victorious at San Mames, Athletic Club were
15:25inspired by Ojan Sanet, scorer of the best goal of Matchday 31 in the Liga EA Sports.
15:33Matchday 31 saw a huge six-pointer at the Benito Villamarain. As Real Betis hosted Villarreal, it was fifth against sixth.
15:49Potential Champions League place at the end of the season in play between these two sides. And it was the home side who got off to the perfect start. It was Yeren Pino's sliced clearance, falling straight to Ruibal. And how about that for a finish? Just two minutes gone.
16:05Ventis were off to the dream start. First goal of the La Liga season for the fullback. Marcelino will not be happy with Yeren Pino's clearance. That was a fine finish. All the same.
16:19Dreadful start then for the visitors. Villarreal were forced to defend with Junior here saving down low from Jesus Rodriguez. Villarreal are always the third one.
16:24And the first goal of the La Liga season for the fullback. And the first goal of the La Liga season for the fullback. Marcelino will not be happy with Yeren Pino's clearance. That was a fine finish. All the same.
16:34Dreadful start then for the visitors. Villarreal were forced to defend. With with Junior here saving down low from Jesus Rodriguez. Villarreal are always the third one.
16:48Villarreal are always the threat from set pieces. Here was Foyth taking down Parejo Corner. The ball pinballing around the penalty area before falling to Tierna Barry. He slotted homes in style.
16:58His 13th of the season. 25 minutes gone. And the two sides were back level. Villarreal showing real character to get themselves back in the game.
17:06There was a commissania back heel. That was cleared in the direction of the young French forward.
17:17And we were back level. Isco played in Anthony here. He looked to see if he had options before cutting inside and testing the Villarreal goalkeeper.
17:27Pellegrini facing his former club of course. Anthony here. Aimed for Cuccio's head. Again it was another slice to clearance.
17:39It's timed by commissania before it fell to Isco. His acrobatics.
17:43brought the Benito Villarreal into his corner once again. But it was over the crossbar. And Ayota Perez.
17:55Bude with his every touch by his former side. And it was agonizingly close to bringing Villarreal. A 2-1 lead.
18:05We moved into the second period. Just two minutes in. And how about this for a pass from Danny Parejo. And who was it going to be? Ayota Perez.
18:13He didn't celebrate his goal. He got a 13th goal of his own of the season for his new club.
18:23Parejo spotting the run. Nathan hadn't followed Perez. And Adrian was beaten through his legs. Fine delivery though.
18:31from Parejo. Beautiful assist. Beautiful take down. And a good finish. And Villarreal could have had a 3rd. Parejo.
18:43Following up his assist. With his strike. Ricochet the post. And Pettiston were forced. To try and summon an equalizer of their own.
18:55And this was. A penalty given by Pulido Santana. For a foul on the substitute. Lo Celso. By Logan Costa.
19:04However he had a look in the monitor. And annulled the penalty. And here Villarreal. With Cardona. Could have put the game to bed.
19:15Tiana Barry was lurking. That stayed at 2-1. Betis was still in the game. And they should have been level here.
19:22Now Celso and Isco. The flair players combining. Isco. Punching the ground. In frustration. After you put that.
19:29Gilt edge chance wide. Beautiful pass. Just. Wide of that post. Perrault had a final header near the end.
19:43Isco had the cross. Perrault almost had the finish. But it was Betis who would go home. Empty handed. Villarreal hanging on.
19:53Three huge points for the yellow submarine. It finished Betis 1. Villarreal 2.
19:58three.
20:13to climb above Real Sociedad in the table
20:15and give themselves a boost
20:16as they try and make it into Europe for next season.
20:19Arasati, former Real Sociedad manager,
20:22of course, up against his old club.
20:25And Imanol Aguasil's team coming into this game
20:29off the back of a good run of three games.
20:31Two of them have ended,
20:32or had ended in victories in La Liga
20:34and that epic cup semi-final second leg
20:37against Real Sociedad.
20:39And things started well enough.
20:41Oh, yeah, Thabo had the ball in the back of the net
20:42from Baranacea's cross.
20:44He was just the wrong side of Pablo Maffeo,
20:47so it didn't count.
20:49That was pretty much as good as it got for Real Sociedad.
20:52Downhill from then on in.
20:55This mistake from Baranacea.
20:57He gifts the ball to Darder.
20:59Darder slips it through to Larin.
21:01And with a little bit of help from Aaron Burrow sliding in,
21:05it goes over the line for the opening goal of the game.
21:07Karl Larin is accredited with the goal.
21:10It's his first of 2025.
21:14His sixth of the season.
21:20And Mallorca were in control of the game.
21:25Amiro got a boot end to it,
21:26but not enough to turn it around the far post.
21:30So how would Real Sociedad respond?
21:33Pablo Marin with this shot.
21:35Well saved by Greif.
21:42Baranacea laying this one off to Sukic.
21:44And this time it's Oja Thaval with the shot.
21:48And down to his other post.
21:53Greif makes the save once more.
21:57Sukic into Kubo.
21:59Kubo shot not forcing a save from Dominic Greif.
22:03And here comes goal number two.
22:11It's Sergi Darder there with it.
22:13And plenty of fault to pick with the way that Real Sociedad defended that.
22:18Not least Ramiro let the shot squirm under his body.
22:21It went through the legs of Arete Lestondo.
22:24But really it's all about the fact that Darder there
22:25had so much time and space once again.
22:30Drifting in from the left.
22:33His first goal of the season.
22:342-0 to Mallorca.
22:36This was their best opportunity in the second half.
22:39John Martin.
22:41Powerful header down into the ground.
22:43And tipped over the top by Dominic Greif.
22:48But often it looked more like Mallorca
22:51to make it 3-0 as opposed to Real Sociedad narrowing the margin.
22:55Substitute Abdon Prats.
22:57And not making the most of this opportunity
22:59created for him by Mojica.
23:04Referee was busy at the end of the game.
23:07A little bit of pushing and shoving.
23:10And he ended up showing the yellow card.
23:14It appeared to Martin Zubimendi.
23:17This is Luis Munero Montero, the referee.
23:21There was no way back into the game for Real Sociedad.
23:33This was their last opportunity.
23:38Substitute Marez-Corena curling this one to the back post.
23:43He came on in the second half and looked lively.
23:51He scored once this season off the bench.
23:57Still time for an overhead kick from Martin Zubimendi.
24:01But Greif threw his hat on it.
24:06And Mallorca were able to celebrate.
24:09On the final whistle.
24:10Final score in the Real Arena.
24:13Real Sociedad nil.
24:15Mallorca 2.
24:15Apaleidos-Celtavigo looked to move closer to European football.
24:30And Espanyol looked to move further away from the relegation zone.
24:34They met in a thrilling game on matchday 31.
24:41Alfon Gonzalez had the first chance for Celta Vigo.
24:45Trying to pass the ball into the net.
24:47Juan Garcia got down to make the save.
24:50It was Espanyol who opened the scoring just before the half hour.
24:54Roberto Fernandes with his latest goal.
24:57For Los Pericos sliding in to meet the pass from Javi Puado.
25:03Espanyol had another chance for this cutback.
25:28Edo Espanyol forced a save from Vicente Guaita.
25:31Guaita that was pushed over the top.
25:43The second half this opportunity came.
25:45Celta Vigo's way.
25:46Juan Garcia got down to save from Pablo Duran.
25:58Celta attacked again.
25:59And the Alfon Gonzalez's ball across was met by Iago Aspas.
26:06Garcia made another tremendous save.
26:10What was the final contribution in the game of Celta Vigo's captain?
26:22After Aspas had been taken off.
26:23A long ball was sent forward by Leandro Cabrera.
26:27Failing to deal with that.
26:30Carlos Dominguez gave the ball away to Roberto Fernandes.
26:34He got his second of the game just past the hour.
26:38Make things a little bit more comfortable for Espanyol.
26:41Celta continued to attack.
27:04For Gonzalez had a low shot pushed out by Garcia.
27:08Yellow card for Javi Poirot means he will be suspended for a big game for Espanyol against Getafe.
27:36On the match take 32.
27:46There are still chances for Celta before the end.
27:48None better than that for Fedor Lopez.
27:51He clanked the ball off the crossbar.
27:54And darted inside.
27:55As Moriba's ball across was met by Lopez again.
28:16He could not keep the ball down.
28:19He fired over the top as the game ended in defeat for Celta Vigo.
28:23The final score.
28:25Celta nil.
28:26Espanyol 2.
28:27Las Palmas clinched a vital victory in their fight for La Liga survival.
28:51Fabio Silva's brace dominated the headlines after the match.
28:55But the win began to take shape with a stunning save.
28:58And the main protagonist was none other than Dinko Orkash.
29:02With the score at 1-0, Getafe could have almost killed the game off.
29:07But the Croatian goalkeeper prevented that with a double save.
29:11First, he deflected a shot from Luis Milla with his fingertips.
29:15Then he quickly dropped to Juanmi's feet to prevent the Andalusian forward from scoring.
29:21A strong, courageous intervention changed the tide of the match.
29:33And Zulka showed that despite Jesper Silesen's absence through injury,
29:38Las Palmas' goal is in safe hands.
29:40Besides whose form since the start of the new year had taken a turn for the worst.
30:01Met at El Sardar in the early Sunday kick-up.
30:04It was Osasuna against Girona.
30:06This side's in danger, falling into the relegation zone.
30:13Things opened up with a header wide by Ante Buramir.
30:17After Gazzaniga had got his hands to a cross.
30:27And there, Dan Drummer had a goal disallowed for offside.
30:36And Herrera had to tip a free kick over the top.
31:01Girona were having some good chances in the first half.
31:04Girona were unable to convert them into goals.
31:10This save from Artur by Herrera kept things goalless.
31:16And a header by Ante Buramir at the near post.
31:29Took his tally for the season up to 16 and put Osasuna into the lead.
31:33More chances followed for Girona, though, towards the end of the first period.
31:53Cigankov cut inside and shot just wide.
32:03Cigankov brought one back as well for Dan Drummer.
32:07His deflected strike went over the crossbar.
32:10In the second half, a left-footed delivery wide from substitute Asprea provided another warning for Osasuna.
32:28He's right for the delivery parried by Herrera was put in by Christian Stuani.
32:40However, he was in an offside position.
32:43Just by half the shoulder, the goal would not stand.
32:50Lui Bañez got Osasuna's second.
33:09His first goal in La Liga since December of 2023.
33:13And left-footed drive out of the reach of Paolo Gerseniga.
33:20Making things a little bit more comfortable for Osasuna.
33:34They did need that second goal because Asprea scored for Girona from square on.
33:40In the end, it proved to be just a consolation goal.
33:55The final score, Osasuna to Girona.
33:58A night at the Coliseum where Las Palmas needed to turn things around.
34:20And not just because of their season, but in the game as well.
34:23It started in the rain and it ended in the sunshine.
34:26Perhaps somewhat emblematic of the way Las Palmas' season has gone.
34:30Without a win in 2025.
34:34But they would soon change that.
34:36First, though, Omar Alderete, 20 minutes into proceedings.
34:41Scores a goal that was initially given as an offside, but then VAR would overturn it.
34:45He was onside in this case.
34:48And Getafe, after 20 minutes of nothing, not a single shot, let alone shot on target, go ahead.
34:541-0.
34:55And it's looking good for them.
34:57And Las Palmas are looking completely lost.
35:01Getafe get the goal to go in front.
35:02Bordalas approves.
35:04It's the first goal for Alderete of the season.
35:06In fact, his first since May of 2023, two seasons ago.
35:12And the Paraguayan, with a picture-perfect header, gets it beyond Dinko Horkas, the Las Palmas keeper.
35:18And they almost had a second one, did Getafe, with a couple of half-hearted efforts.
35:24And one excellent save from Horkas kept Getafe from grabbing that second goal.
35:30It comes on this layoff here for Luis, Mia, and how about that for a stop.
35:35And he stops the follow-up as well from Juanmi.
35:38One of the saves of the week, it's got to be.
35:42That first one, as he brushes it aside, was not the only one that he had to make.
35:50Later, recycling it back up, and it was all about Mia just being in the right spot.
35:57But Horkas' save, well worth it.
36:00The game would change, though, because Las Palmas didn't have much to show for the first half-hour.
36:05That was their first real chance, if you want to call it that.
36:08Sandro, with a worm burner, stopped by David Soria.
36:12But the game would change here, on a moment between Vitti and Diego Rico.
36:18This challenge by Rico, which was ultimately seen out as a corner, was then looked at.
36:24And that straight-leg spike would send Rico to an early shower.
36:32Initially given as a yellow, but then overturned to a red.
36:36Javier Alberola Rojas and Getafe would play the rest of this game with ten men.
36:43Las Palmas didn't do anything with it in the first half.
36:45Those 15 minutes after they had a man advantage, that was the best chance from Ollie McBurney.
36:49But things changed in the second half.
36:52They found their moments.
36:53And the first one came from Fabio Silva.
36:56One of the only guys scoring goals for Las Palmas all year.
37:00He's got quality in his boots.
37:02And he shows you how, with that wonderful turn, his ninth goal of the season,
37:08to bring us back to level terms.
37:10And the momentum kept on rolling for Las Palmas.
37:14How about this for a first touch?
37:15Mika Marmol, Alberto Moledo, a halftime substitute.
37:19And Ollie McBurney, second goal in as many weeks after not having scored in La Liga all season.
37:26And he gives Las Palmas the lead.
37:28It was a beautiful team goal.
37:30Moledo, one of two halftime subs, along with Marvin Park.
37:33They looked like a different team in the second half.
37:37McBurney scores, and it was all done and dusted.
37:41But a third one wouldn't hurt, and of course it had to be Silva over the top.
37:46It was Manu Fuster's outside-of-the-boot deep ball that ultimately sent us to our conclusion.
37:53Tenth of the season then for Silva, double digits.
37:55This is the pass from Fuster.
37:59Silva with a brace.
38:03And the Las Palmas fans go back to the Canary Islands thrilled as they started the day four points back of safety.
38:10But this victory, with Leganese and Alaves still to play, bring them within one point of safety.
38:17It ends Getafe one, Las Palmas three.
38:19Match day 31 in La Liga EA Sports kicked off with the game between Valencia and Sevilla at Mestalla.
38:39Valencia were looking to pick up a third consecutive victory,
38:42while Sevilla were looking to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat.
38:46Sevilla started the better of the two sides.
38:54Albert Sambi-Laconga with the first shot on target, but he was denied by Giorgi Mamardashvili.
39:02Minutes later, Sevilla were then awarded a penalty following the challenge from Jose Gallad.
39:07It looked like Gallad initially got the ball, and it was checked by VAR.
39:14Peque was onside, as we see here.
39:17But then having another look at the replay, Jose Gallad does indeed get the ball.
39:23He does then clip Peque, but he got the ball first.
39:26And after checking the VAR screen, the referee, Jose Maria SĂĄnchez-Martinez,
39:32would overturn the decision.
39:34Sevilla then thought they'd taken the lead through Sambi-Laconga, as he scored from a corner.
39:42However, it was ruled out because Luque Bacchio's corner had crossed the white line.
39:49He'd put too much whip on the ball, and it resulted in a goal kick rather than the opener for Sevilla.
39:54Valencia had this chance here.
40:00This was their first chance of the game, and it was in the final minutes, in fact, of the first half.
40:05A good ball in from Diego LĂłpez.
40:08Luik, by this clearance, incredibly coming off the crossbar.
40:12And then Jose Gallad's second effort just kept out by Nerland.
40:16Isaac Romero put this counterattack for Sevilla, just the wrong side of the post.
40:23It was a golden opportunity for his side to take the lead, but the chance went begging.
40:29Who did take his chance, though, was Javi Guerra, with the final kick of the first half.
40:35Guerra scoring his second La Liga goal of the season,
40:39and scoring what would ultimately turn out to be the match winner.
40:42This was the challenge on Romero at the other end of the pitch in the build-up to the goal.
40:47That's why there was controversy as to whether the goal would stand or not.
40:51The referee decided it was not a foul on Romero in the other box,
40:54and therefore Guerra's goal would count.
40:57And LĂłpez went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
41:03Images now of the second 45, and just about 90 seconds in to the second half.
41:10Javi Guerra was shown a yellow card.
41:12For fouling Dodi Luque Bacchio from behind.
41:18Took a couple of swipes at Luque Bacchio,
41:24and was lucky, really, that it was only a yellow card.
41:26Valencia kept on pushing, and Javi Guerra almost got his and Valencia's second goal of the night after being set up by a Umar Sadiq back heel.
41:40But Nerland did well to help the ball onto the crossbar.
41:49It was Sambi Lekonga who had Sevilla's first chance of the second half.
41:55Similar to the first, a shot from outside the box.
41:58But same result as the first period.
42:00Mamardashvili making a big save.
42:03Hugo Dudo was then brought on, and he had this golden opportunity to make it 2-0.
42:09But his initial shot and Diego LĂłpez's second effort were both kept out by Sevilla's keeper.
42:16His header from a corner also required a big save from Nerland.
42:31And that would ultimately see Valencia hold on to all three points towards the end.
42:36And it ended Valencia 1, Sevilla nil.
42:46And the Metropolitano in the Monday night fixture in La Liga EA Sports, Atletico Madrid.
42:53Squared off with the basement side, Valladolid.
42:56Early on in the game, Clement Lenglet was a judge to have handled the ball.
43:10As he got to it with his elbow off a corner.
43:17Referee finally pointed to the spot after consulting VAR.
43:21After taking off to take was Mamadou Sela, and he dispatched down the middle to open the scoring on 20 minutes.
43:39That seemed to wake up Atletico Madrid, who had a chance inside the area.
43:47Through Antoine Griezmann, whilst that was unsuccessful.
43:51There was a consultation of this challenge, a penalty was given Juliano Simeone's way.
44:07It was taken by Julian Alvarez, down the middle.
44:13As Atletico Madrid pulled level.
44:16No chances are bounded from there.
44:27Juliano Simeone sold the dummy to Enrique, and was able to finish off.
44:33And a powerful shot from close range.
44:34It's a free kick, deflected in off Conor Gallagher.
44:58Sprung another surprise for Los Colchineros.
45:02It was Javi Sanchez.
45:05With the hit that brought Mairly back level.
45:13Another penalty was given late on in the game as Marcos Llorente went down.
45:19Driven into the net by Julian Alvarez.
45:33His second penalty of the game.
45:39Sent it to much the same position as the first.
45:43And with Atletico Madrid in front, they look for further goals.
45:46This was Limar, who'd come on as a sub.
45:48Denied by Ferreira.
46:00Crossing here from the right was met by Alvarez.
46:02Serloch was on hand for the rebound.
46:03As he added to his goal tally.
46:09His first season with Atletico Madrid.
46:30Late on there.
46:31What are some more chances for the visitors?
46:33This one clipped in.
46:34It was headed wide by Moro.
46:39Yet another defeat though for Valladolid.
46:43Atletico Madrid keep up the pace with the sides above.
46:46And the final score, Atletico Madrid 4, Valladolid 2.
47:01Since his arrival during the winter transfer window, Roberto Fernandes has made a big impact on Espanyol.
47:11And his performance could be one of the keys to saving Los Perricos.
47:15He has already scored five goals in 12th matches.
47:20And has found the net in both of the Catalan side's consecutive away wins.
47:25And this weekend he scored his first La Liga double.
47:28To give Manolo Gonzalez's side three points on their visit to a banker Balaitos.
47:33Half an hour into the match, he took advantage of a great assist from Javi Puato to poke in a shot with the toe of his boot.
47:42And in the second half, with Salta Vigo all set on searching for an equaliser,
47:49the number two was alert to take advantage of a defensive mix-up and score his second.
47:57Two shots and two goals produced maximum effectiveness from an absolutely lethal Roberto Fernandes,
48:05who brings Espanyol closer to survival.
48:12These are the complete results from matchday 31 of the La Liga EA Sports season.
48:29A matchday that saw Barcelona win 1-0 away from home against Leganese.
48:34That was the same scoreline that Real Madrid won against Alvespa at Mendes Rosa.
48:40The Real 1-2-1 away from home against Real Betis.
48:44Athletic Club with 3-1 winners over Rio Vallecano.

49:10Top seven rounded off by Villarreal, Real Betis and Celta Vigo.
