Bloodlands – A Cinematic Epic Set in 2300 BC
"Bloodlands" takes us back to 2300 BC—an era so ancient that history itself has yet to be named. This is the dawn of storytelling, the birth of myths, and the first stirrings of culture. It’s a time when humans begin to paint their world, dream of the heavens, and lay the linguistic foundations that still shape our modern languages. Far from existing in a vacuum, this era challenges us to imagine a world that is both primal and untamed.
While historians and archaeologists are bound by facts, storytellers—writers and filmmakers—have the freedom to explore the unknown. And that freedom unlocks a vast world of possibilities.
With breathtaking cinematography, an intense soundtrack, and handcrafted costumes, Luke Gasser’s latest film immerses viewers in a time when human culture was just beginning to take form. The world stage is nearly empty, with only a handful of characters inhabiting this vast and raw landscape. But invaders arrive, seeking to violently reshape everything. A lone warrior rises against their rule—symbolically standing against oppression, control, and the modern parallels of the Great Reset and enforced compliance.
Filmed in the majestic Swiss Alps with a minimal crew, Luke Gasser has created a two-hour cinematic epic, forging the weapons, props, and sets largely by hand. Not only did he direct and portray the warrior, but he also composed the soundtrack and wrote the script.
To preserve the film’s raw and mythical essence, Luke knew that his characters couldn’t speak German, English, or any modern tongue. But since no traces of ancient speech remain from this era, he crafted an entirely original fictional yet fully functional language—a bold artistic choice that enhances the film’s primal authenticity. The actors, some of Switzerland’s finest, took on the challenge, bringing this new language to life.
The soundtrack itself is a force of nature, blending hard rock, indigenous sounds, and Tibetan monk chants into a sonic journey that elevates the film to an unforgettable experience.
🔥 Experience a world before history—where myths are born and legends rise. Welcome to Bloodlands
