00:00We are a group of Microsoft workers who are demanding an end to Microsoft's complicity
00:05in Israeli genocide and apartheid by ending all the partnerships and all the sales
00:09of Azure services to the Israeli military, government, and weapons manufacturers.
00:13With the provision of cloud and AI technologies from big tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon,
00:20and Google, they have effectively become weapons manufacturers. They have effectively become
00:25the same and as essential to the destruction and the pain and the displacement in Gaza
00:30as the weapons and the bullets and the planes that are being transported to Palestine.
00:35Microsoft provides cloud services, artificial intelligence services, translation services,
00:42and storage capabilities to the Israeli military, which the Israeli military then uses to store
00:48hundreds if not thousands of terabytes of data collected through mass surveillance of the
00:53Palestinians on those servers. It then uses Microsoft translation services to translate
00:58that data that they collect on the Palestinians from Arabic to Hebrew and then use that to feed
01:02them into a system and a pipeline of AI targeting systems that help determine where to bomb in
01:08Gaza and help Israel classify innocent Palestinians as terrorists. And all of these systems allow Israel
01:15to accelerate and exacerbate its genocide in Gaza to unforeseen levels. This kind of deep partnership
01:22allows Israel to automate and to remove any sort of human element to the Palestinians, completely
01:31dehumanize the Palestinians and turn the mass murder of Palestinians into essentially a video game.
01:37But I said like a lot of the time I'm asked, are you not scared of being fired? Are you not scared of
01:43being deported? Are you not scared of being arrested? And my response is always, are you not scared?
01:48Are you not scared of being complicit in the Holocaust of our time? Are you not scared of
01:52having your labor be used to facilitate the gravest moral travesty of our lifetime? Are you not scared
01:58of what you will tell your children and grandchildren when they ask you, where were you when the genocide
02:03in Palestine and Gaza was happening? Our campaign, as soon as we were became aware that Microsoft is
02:09planning a big 50 anniversary celebration on that date, we made it clear that we will not allow Microsoft to
02:16celebrate while their hands are stained with Palestinian blood, while they continue to enable the genocide
02:22and apartheid against our Palestinian brothers and sisters. We will continue to fight for
02:29Palestinians and Palestinian rights here in the diaspora, here in the belly of the beast,
02:33even under this crackdown, under this authoritarianism.
