00:45It was all three of those guys a debt of gratitude
00:47Smojo, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, legends of the game
00:50And I don't think when it happened
00:52That they knew the impact that they were going to make on professional wrestling
00:55No, this isn't about weight limits
00:57It's about no limits
00:59I'm going to get a chance to be a part of this
01:01Even 20 years on, he's still following in those footsteps

02:13And tonight, we pay homage to the most iconic match in the history of TNA wrestling
02:19This evening, we honor the legacy
02:23And we usher in a new era
02:26Welcome everyone to TNA Unbreakable
02:30TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA!
02:37You can run for a long time
02:46You can run for a long time
02:52You can run for a long time
02:55The following is a first-round match in the TNA international champion
03:07makeshift tournament. Introducing first, from Franklin, Tennessee, weighing in at 232 pounds,
03:15the world-class maniac, Eric Young! A TNA original. Eric Young looking to make history and breath
03:26become the first ever TNA international champion. This is one of two first-round matches we'll see
03:34tonight in Las Vegas. Still to come this evening, the other first-round matchup, Eddie Edwards of the
03:39system, the inevitable ace, Austin, and bulletproof Steve Macklin, who's heading to the final.
03:49How apropos it could be if this man, the world-class maniac himself, etches his name yet again into
03:58the history of this company by being the first-ever international champion.
04:09Eric Young competed on the very first Unbreakable event 20 years ago, representing Team Canada
04:16in a four-way elimination match for the NWA World Tag Team titles.
04:28Next, from Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 230 pounds, representing the system, JDC!
04:45Ever since Eddie Edwards took every member of the system to task a few weeks ago, it's been
04:50high pressure for the dynasty of TNA wrestling. Can JDC step up to that pressure? Can he take
04:58one step closer to immortality? We know that AJ Francis already has his spot in the three-way
05:04matchup to determine the inaugural TNA international champion. Later on tonight, Francis defeating
05:10Mance Warner and Sammy Callahan last week on Impact. I guess I should say, Warner and Callahan
05:15destroyed each other in that match. And AJ Francis took advantage, blocking in his spot, and he's the
05:22only one tonight. He doesn't have to wrestle twice in that final matchup. We'll talk more about that
05:28at the time, but the system could have a hell of a night as well.
05:31I had a chance to speak with Zachary Wentz earlier on today on TNA social and digital platforms at the
05:38first day all day breakfast Q&A with Bihar. He's asked him what it would mean to him to make history to add his name to his first-time champion.
05:44I had a chance to speak with Zachary Wentz earlier on today on TNA social and digital platforms at the first day all day breakfast Q&A with Bihar. He's asked him what it would mean to him to make history to add his name to his first-time champion.
05:58in the likes of Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, and Gail Kim. He said, well, I understand what firsts are all about. I'm the first person ever to represent the exhibition championship on WWE television.
06:19No doubt about it, Zachary Wentz crossed that line, crossed that border, made that bit of history, and wants to add to that legacy here tonight. History is on the line at a break.
06:36Wentz, a former TNA world tag team champion with Trey Miguel as a part of the Rascals, the aforementioned X Division championship. He won late last year as a two-time NXT tag team champion.
06:46Meanwhile, Eric Young has won the TNA world title, the tag team title, the X Division title, the legends, global, television, King of the Mountain, knockouts world tag team titles.
06:57We forget about that, old chestnut. The NWA world tag team championship, King of the Mountain in 2016, and gauntlet for the gold in 2022.
07:05So why not add another to the resume, the long, long resume of Eric Young?
07:10Remember, there are no countouts, no disqualifications in a triple threat match. First man to gain pinfall or submission in this matchup in the ring.
07:18We'll advance to the final, and you could see that, I guess that sign of respect, I don't know, between Eric Young and JDC, the veterans in this match.
07:26Or more than it, yeah, an early alliance that sometimes happens in these things.
07:31Eliminate one, and then you can kind of get it down to a one-on-one contest.
07:37Wentz leaving these guys on a wild goose chase, though.
07:40He's the two men in JDC and Young who know what it means to work with strength in numbers.
07:47JDC a part of the system.
07:48Eric Young, the leader of the Northern Armour.
07:51Tom, considering these next two matches in this tournament, there is a world, there is a timeline as Wentz plays into the past of JDC.
08:03By the way, JDC slipped me a considerable amount of money to list off his accolades.
08:08He said, I'm a former NXT Tag Team Champion, which he's right.
08:11He's a two-time FCW Florida Tag Team Champion.
08:14He said, well, it's Mania weekend, so remind people that I beat Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 29.
08:19That's all true.
08:21Wow, I would have done that for free, but I'm glad you got the bag.
08:24It was a nice check.
08:25But as I would say, there is a world tonight here, Tom, where in that final, two out of three competitors are members of the system, which could look very bad for AJ Francis.
08:38And to your point, Eddie Edwards, in the other first-round matchup that we'll see, immediately following this match, as a matter of fact, moves off to the outside by Wentz.
08:49And you hit on an interesting point.
08:51AJ Francis has had a week to chill.
08:53He was on the countdown to Unbreakable.
08:55He's already here in Vegas buying property, putting down a down payment, so to speak.
09:00Oh, man, absolutely as legit as it gets.
09:03He's feeling good, riding into Unbreakable.
09:06Again, whoever wins this has mere hours to get ready.
09:09Look at how, though.
09:09Plus, by a double pin here.
09:10Oh, and a kick out.
09:12And then whoever should win the next qualifying matchup has even marginally less time to get ready for tonight's main event.
09:20Oh, caught.
09:22Caught.
09:22Oh, and a nice double team there by Young and JDC.
09:26And this alliance now has paid dividends now for Eric Young and JDC.
09:40Think about the opportunity at stake to call yourself the first ever TNA international champion.
09:47Mentioned some of the names who were first-time champions in this company who paved the way.
09:52The TNA Hall of Famers, Kurt Angle and Gail Kim.
09:54The phenomenal AJ Styles, Team 3D Hall of Famers were handed the titles.
09:59That's a full thing.
10:00Sarita and Taylor Wilde, first-ever knockouts, world tag team champions.
10:05And the juggernaut, Jordan Grace, the first-ever TNA digital media champion.
10:10In all the history books, there's only one ever first.
10:15And that is something you can't take away.
10:17And I don't think Wentz is ever going to be able to take these memories out of his head.
10:23JDC having some fun.
10:24Floats over.
10:25Here's the cover and Young breaking it up.
10:28It's like JDC and Wentz go to the same barber, if you will.
10:33Yeah.
10:36Young, I think, taking a little exception there with Curtis.
10:39Now Wentz realizes he's basically in a one versus two situation.
10:42I mean, there's no basically about it.
10:44It's quite literally.
10:45Oh, and a cutter.
10:48Cutter going for a cover here.
10:50Does he have enough time?
10:51No, Young springing out of the corner.
10:54Question how long this alliance lasts.
10:57Cover by Young.
10:58Wentz, Wentz able to kick out.
11:00Again, at the end of the day, it is every man for himself.
11:04If only one can move on.
11:09Oh, and neck snap there by Eric Young.
11:13Eric Young, leader of the Northern Armory.
11:17Oh, God.
11:19He's been desperately trying to reach Steve Macklin,
11:23who's on the other side of his bracket in the other qualifying matchup.
11:28Much to the chagrin of Steve Macklin.
11:31Young made one final offer last week to Steve Macklin,
11:33to join the Northern Armory.
11:36Will Macklin make that choice tonight?
11:38Now JDC just teeing off here on Wentz.
11:42You have to imagine it's all going to depend on how
11:44this match to start off our night goes.
11:48Now Wentz battling with Young on the outside.
11:50Remember, no count outs, no disqualifications.
11:53This is entirely legal and a triple threat.
11:55And he goes, there must be a winner.
11:59Oh, big open palm strike by Young.
12:02I love the construction of this tournament by our Director of Authority,
12:07Santino Morello.
12:08All triple threat matches.
12:09Hold on, cover.
12:10Cover by JDC to advance.
12:12What are we talking about?
12:14Young barking supporters.
12:18They may be thinking not enough punishment has been bestowed upon Zachary Wentz here.
12:24These grizzled vets realize only one guy can win.
12:29As I was saying, every match in this tournament,
12:32a triple threat match, an homage to the famed, unbreakable three-way
12:36that put DNA Wrestling on the map 20 years ago.
12:40Oh, and it seems the teamwork's done between Curtis and Young.
12:45As JDC going to advance and a kick out.
12:48I told you, not a matter of if, a matter of when it would happen.
12:53And JDC strikes first in that tenuous relationship there.
12:58Oh, blistering chop to the chest.
13:01As you take a look back, and here is the moment JDC ended that short-lived partnership with Eric Young.
13:08Now back to live action after that near fall.
13:12Curtis trying to rip Wentz off of the top turnbuckle, perhaps thinking superplex.
13:17Wentz still fighting that.
13:19Doesn't want any part of that.
13:20Oh, straight headbutts.
13:21Once again, from the top, double dropkick to Young and Curtis.
13:27And Wentz, popping back up like a house of fun.
13:32Oh, knees for everybody by Wentz.
13:36Pulling through.
13:37Oh, and knees right to Young.
13:40PK.
13:42And now Wentz.
13:44Beautifully done.
13:46And a cutter.
13:47Wentz is going off.
13:49Is he moving on to the final?
13:50I'm going to kick out.
13:52What a barrage.
13:53An avalanche.
13:54Cover.
13:54Cover.
13:54Open body here on a kick out.
13:57Incredible offense there from Wentz.
13:59Watch this one more time.
14:01This running shooting star on to Curtis.
14:04Realized Young was moving.
14:05Hit the cutter.
14:06That was great strategy, but Young able to kick out the wherewithal by Wentz to then go back to Curtis to try and get a pinfall.
14:13I mean, he knows that these times are limited where you're going to have both your opponents down strike while that iron is hot.
14:20Going for the falcon arrow here.
14:24Is it enough to get closer to the TNA international title?
14:28And it's broken up by Young.
14:31Young now disposing of JDC on the outside.
14:35Trying to make this a one-on-one contest.
14:37Because that's plan numero uno here.
14:42Look at this.
14:43Wentz is all over Young.
14:47Up onto the shoulders.
14:49Thinking about it.
14:50Death Valley driver middle of the ring.
14:53Got him.
14:53Cover.
14:54Oh, and JDC breaks it out.
14:58Eyes in the back of your head are a necessity in this kind of matchup.
15:03Imagine how JDC could endear himself to the system if he walked out of Vegas.
15:08TNA international champion.
15:10Eddie Edwards as well for that matter.
15:13System have a dog in the first two fights here.
15:15But look out.
15:16Uh-oh.
15:17Oh, great combination there by JDC and Young.
15:21Now center of the ring.
15:23Young with a pile driver.
15:26JDC is out.
15:28Young off the pile driver is advancing to the finals.
15:32Here is your winner, Eric Young.
15:39Eric Young, a TNA original, takes one more step towards history.
15:47Take another look back at the conclusion of this matchup.
15:51JDC was dispatched.
15:53And in the middle of the ring, bam, this pile driver by Eric Young eliminated Zachary Wentz.
15:59And now Eric Young is one step closer to continuing to cement his incredible legacy in TNA wrestling.
16:09As we now take a look at the updated final for later on tonight.
16:14AJ Francis has already qualified as of last week on Impact.
16:19Young gets by JDC and Wentz.
16:21And the next first round matchup is moments away.
16:23We are going to find out or find our first.
16:28We are going to make history here tonight.
16:30Ladies and gentlemen, thank you so much for joining us live here on TNA Plus in Las Vegas, Nevada.
16:35He's the Drama King, Matthew Ray.
16:37Well, I'm Tom Hannafin.
16:38We still have so much to come here this evening as a part of Unbreakable.
16:42JDC didn't get things done for the system.
16:44Baby Moose can make a statement.
16:46That's right, because right here tonight at Unbreakable, Moose has issued an open challenge to, quote,
16:53the best high flyer here in Vegas this week.
16:56Who will answer the X Division champion?
16:59Also still to come this evening, Mike Santana teams up with the TNA World Tag Team Champions,
17:04the Hardys, against Mustafa Ali and Mick and Ryan Nemeth.
17:09And in a tag team match that has huge rebellion ramifications, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry
17:15and Knockout Champion Masha Slamovich take on Frankie Kazarian and Tessa Blanchard.
17:21Also, it is the definition of carnage in TNA Wrestling.
17:25It's Barbed Wire Massacre.
17:28Mance Warner versus Sami Callihan tonight at Unbreakable.
17:32And we've already been talking about it.
17:34The finals are almost set.
17:35The first ever TNA International Champion will be crowned.
17:39We know AJ Francis is in.
17:41Eric Young just qualified, but we have one more to find out.
17:45And it's time for the final first round matchup in the TNA International Championship Tournament.
17:52Eddie Edwards of the system, Ace Austin of the ABC,
17:56and bulletproof Steve Macklin, who gets one step closer to the final.
18:05The following is a first round match in the TNA International Championship Tournament.
18:18Introducing Kurtz, from Atlantic City, New Jersey,
18:22weighing in at 205 pounds,
18:24representing the ABC's Ace Austin.
18:31And you can see the T-shirt that Ace Austin is wearing to the ring.
18:35You can head to TNAmerch.com right now
18:38and get the limited edition Chris Bay Unbreakable T-shirt now,
18:42who's Sunday.
18:43And on top of that,
18:45match worn or match used Bay shirts from this evening at Unbreakable
18:48will be sold on TNA's eBay page starting this weekend
18:52with all proceeds going directly to Chris Bay on his road to recovery.
18:56Next, accompanied to the ring by Alicia Edwards from Boston, Massachusetts,
19:20weighing in at 247 pounds,
19:23representing the system,
19:26Eddie Edwards!
19:30Well, fate was not on the system side in the first matchup
19:35for the tournament for the international title.
19:39Can Eddie Edwards find his way to caress that?
19:42Can he punch his ticket to the final later tonight?
19:47KDC coming up short in the other first round matchup we saw moments ago.
19:52Moose has put out an open challenge for later on this evening
19:55as we spoke about moments ago
19:57to any high flyer that happens to be here in Vegas,
20:00even willing to put a future X-Division title shot on the line.
20:04So high stakes this evening in a city that's all about gambling.
20:08And from Rutherford, New Jersey,
20:23weighing in at 227 pounds,
20:27bulletproof Steve
20:29Macklin!
20:31Now we were speaking about a moment to go in regard to Eric Young and the history he has with Steve Macklin.
20:37I want to take you back to last week on TNA Impact.
20:40It was Eddie Edwards, as a matter of fact, one-on-one with Steve Macklin.
20:44A battle of two former TNA world champions.
20:47Alicia Edwards got involved at points during the matchup.
20:50The same with the system.
20:51Every member of the system trying to prove themselves that night.
20:53Now the Northern Armory rushed down the ringside,
20:56but Eric Young held them back.
20:58That system ring and a Boston knee party helped Eddie Edwards ultimately defeat Steve Macklin.
21:04And then this, one last offer from Eric Young for Steve Macklin to join the Northern Armory.
21:11Eric Young and the Northern Armory clearly sending a message to Steve Macklin
21:17saying, we could have helped you, we could be a unit.
21:22Will Macklin, he has that one last chance.
21:26Will he accept that offer ever?
21:31Macklin getting to face Eddie Edwards once again after last week on Impact.
21:36Macklin has never been an opponent of Ace Austin's ever before.
21:42Never triple threat rules.
21:43No countouts, no disqualifications.
21:45First man again, pinfall or submission in the ring.
21:48Moves on to the final to declare the first ever TNA international champion later on tonight.
21:54Look out, Ace Austin starting fast and furious in this one.
21:59And you can understand why.
22:00Earlier on today, it was Chris Bay all day.
22:03The Q&A with the Hardys had a chance to moderate that.
22:06Ace Austin getting to see Chris Bay right here in Vegas.
22:09I cannot tell you how moving it was to see Chris Bay walking,
22:13but also the bond between Austin and Bay.
22:15No doubt about it.
22:17Have to imagine he feels motivated by that, much like all three of these men.
22:21All of them are feeling motivated.
22:23They want to etch their name onto that championship, that first ever.
22:28But look out!
22:29Austin soars to glory here in Vegas.
22:33Have a look out, look out.
22:34Edwards!
22:35Edwards waiting to strike.
22:38Uh-oh.
22:39Oh, spine first into the hardest part of the ring.
22:43Eddie Edwards with a version of the blue thunder bomb into the point to the apron there.
22:48And good on Edwards, heeding almost his own words, to your point from a couple of weeks ago,
22:58putting the system on notice.
23:00Has really stepped up, has really turnt it up to 11, if you will.
23:05Eddie Edwards in command right now, blasting Macklin to the outside.
23:10Again, no countouts, no disqualifications.
23:12This is smart by Edwards.
23:14Control the high ground, control the ring.
23:16We saw it in the previous match, two people working together to eliminate one.
23:23Edwards taking a different approach here, taking out one opponent on the outside,
23:28making it a one-on-one contest in the ring.
23:33Fans here in Las Vegas expressing how they feel regarding the system.
23:38Absolutely filthy.
23:39Sin City indeed.
23:41Blistering shot by Eddie Edwards, who's won just about every championship there is.
23:46to speak of in this company, two-time TNA World Champion, seven-time TNA World Tag Team Champion,
23:51that's tied for first with the Cowboy James Storm, twice an X Division Champion,
23:56former GHC Heavyweight Champion, and pro wrestling.
24:00No one first ever gaijin to accomplish that.
24:02Oh, and a backbreaker by Bullet Prove Steve Macklin.
24:09Macklin coming in like an unchained dog from the floor here and ripping things up.
24:16Macklin with a clothesline, and I was wondering in the early stages of this matchup,
24:20would Macklin be distracted knowing that Young has advanced to the final?
24:25Fast press.
24:29And Macklin does not look distracted, however.
24:32No doubt about a Macklin who's made it very clear to Eric Young and everyone,
24:36he is a soldier of one here, a man without a unit,
24:40and he is willing and ready to fight.
24:44Running by Psycho Knee.
24:47Yesterday marked the two-year anniversary of Steve Macklin's TNA World Championship victory
24:53at Rebellion 2023.
24:55His lone major championship in professional wrestling
25:00went all the way to the top of this company like he said he would for many years.
25:04And look at this!
25:06Oh, and look at that Austin!
25:08And Edwards hit with a double German!
25:14And to your point, Macklin doesn't seem distracted, doesn't seem shook at all.
25:20He is locked in.
25:22Well, he's trying to lock in that KIA.
25:24Edwards felt it coming, sent Macklin to the outside,
25:27and now Austin nearly went and joined Macklin.
25:31Ooh!
25:31Forearm blast there by Austin.
25:35It's great wherewithal there.
25:37Saw Macklin coming.
25:40Last time he got that handstand,
25:42he got cracked in the spine by Mustafa Ali on impact last week.
25:46Mike Santana saved him.
25:48Ace Austin, one of the most adaptable wrestlers on the planet,
25:52certainly on our roster.
25:54Showing why he is the inevitable one.
25:57Side rush and leg sweep.
25:59In the click, click, boom!
26:00A man who's always got an ace up his sleeve.
26:08Does it spell victory here in Vegas?
26:12Down goes Edwards.
26:13Long history between Ace Austin and Eddie Edwards.
26:17Ooh!
26:17Big kick there!
26:19Sending Edwards down to the canvas.
26:21Uh-oh!
26:22Oh, the face!
26:23Trebbin' into the mat!
26:25Is it enough for Ace Austin to join the final?
26:27There's Macklin.
26:29Great timing there from Steve Macklin.
26:31You have to be aware, even on every single cover, every single move you make.
26:42Austin and Macklin firing off here in Las Vegas at TNA Unbreakable.
26:48It's a slugfest in the center of the ring.
26:53Oh, big elbow strike by Macklin.
26:58An opportunity in the final for the international title on the line.
27:03Who wants it bad enough?
27:06Heavy hitting affair here in this final first round.
27:09A matchup on!
27:10Oh, and a scud, it looked like!
27:13Catching Ace Austin mid-handstand.
27:16Careening into Edwards.
27:19We got to take a look back at this.
27:20Look at the...
27:21Ace Austin was going for that handstand.
27:24Macklin saw it!
27:26Careened into everyone.
27:28And each man is down.
27:30Listen, Eric Young had to fight through two other men just moments ago.
27:34He'll be in the final later on tonight.
27:37Whomever comes out of this one is not going to be 100%.
27:40Meanwhile, A.J. Francis has been sitting pretty.
27:42He's fresh.
27:43He's clean.
27:44He is ready to go.
27:49Now, Eddie Edwards deposited on the top turnbuckle.
27:54But if there's any man, he knows what it's like
27:56to fight through less than ideal conditions his entire adult life.
28:01It's that man.
28:03They call him Bulletproof for a reason.
28:06Tonight, he plans on proving it.
28:07And look at this.
28:09Wait a minute.
28:09What is in the mind of Macklin?
28:11What the hell is it?
28:12Edwards is trying to get out of it.
28:14Hold on.
28:14Maybe think about an Olympic slam here off of the top.
28:17Oh, my God.
28:18Ace Austin's got control.
28:20And everyone goes down.
28:22What are you willing to do to live forever?
28:44Austin scrambling for a cover on Edwards to move on to the final.
28:47Oh, and a kick out there by Edwards.
28:49And Raywalt Macklin was barely moving.
28:52You saw the cover literally on top of that.
