We got an inside look at the United States Marine Corps' intense 13-week basic training program. Chief video correspondent Graham Flanagan spent five days at the Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot in San Diego, California, where he observed different companies at various stages of training.

Enlisted recruits who live west of the Mississippi River attend basic training in San Diego, where women have only trained since 2021. Men and women train together, but live in separate squad bays. Male and female recruits are not allowed to talk to each other during training. In week seven, recruits travel 40 miles north of San Diego to Camp Pendleton, where they complete their training.

Boot camp culminates with a 54-hour event known as The Crucible, in which recruits endure mental and physical challenges with minimal food and sleep. After completing The Crucible, recruits receive the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor pendant, marking their official transition to Marines.

04:45Hi!
04:46No, they're not as these things that we go by.
04:48Hang on up, we can't be burned.
04:49They're also house naarì‹  upon the south.
04:51No medium of august.
04:52There's also kellene.
04:54David.
04:57He's it!
04:58Okay.
04:59Let's go!
05:00Taking these now!
05:01We're looking for a maximum of between 20 to 23 repetitions.
05:24The average is usually between like on the low side 1 and on the high side like 15 or 16.
05:29If the recruit is unable to do one pull-up, we'll authorize them to try to do push-ups.
05:34How many did you do?
05:36Zero, sir!
05:38Zero!
05:39Go away!
05:40All right, sir!
05:41Get out!
05:42Get out of here!
05:45Did you already do your pull-ups?
05:46Yes, sir!
05:47How many did you do?
05:48Twelve, sir!
05:56All right, sir!
05:59The moment your body goes down, your buds are going to take a knee, do you understand?
06:05Aye, sir!
06:06Get out!
06:07Get out!
06:08Get out!
06:09Get out!
06:10We moved to a plank.
06:11The minimum we're looking for there is about 40 seconds.
06:13You're not cheerleading!
06:14Aye, aye, sir!
06:15Aye, aye, sir!
06:16You're not saying anything to your body!
06:18Aye, aye, sir!
06:19Aye, aye, sir!
06:20Aye, aye, sir!
06:21Aye, aye, sir!
06:22You're at 235!
06:34What do you think when you see these planes going by?
06:37Sometimes I think about just graduating so I get on a plane and go home and see my family,
06:42sir.
06:49You just gotta try.
06:50You just gotta bust your butt.
06:51Aye, sir!
06:52Where you gonna be in 69 days?
06:53Yes, sir!
06:54On the reefer, right?
06:55Yes, sir!
06:56Yes, sir!
06:57All right, sir, get out!
07:01Get out the way!
07:03Oh!
07:04Don't you go!
07:21We typically have between six to eight failures and I want to say that that rang true this morning.
07:25that ring true this morning between six to eight failures.
07:27Let's go, pull up!
07:29Here!
07:29Open set!
07:30I had my doubts in the beginning for myself,
07:32but I actually did better than I thought.
07:35How's it going?
07:36Good.
07:36I'm really tired.
07:37I passed the whole thing, so I'm really excited
07:41to continue with my training.
07:43I almost cried earlier because I'm very excited.
07:45It felt relieving, and it felt like I wasn't letting anyone down.
07:52So what we're going to do now is we're going to shower him up,
07:54get him changed over into their uniforms,
07:56and then we're going to do what's called a warm handoff.
07:58We'll introduce them to their actual drill instructor team
08:01in Echo Company, and we lovingly refer to it as Black Friday.
08:05You won!
08:06Get back!
08:07Fire, sir!
08:08Go!
08:09Fire, sir!
08:11What is Black Friday?
08:13There's no such thing as Black Friday.
08:14Black Friday is just what somebody made up that we call that.
08:17That's a pickup where the recruits are introduced
08:20to their permanent drill instructor.
08:21You need to hurry up!
08:30Aye, sir!
08:32You need to hurry up on that, sir!
08:34Aye, sir!
08:35You, right here.
08:36Aye, sir!
08:37Hurry up!
08:38If you're on this side, behind these four recruits, you're a stand.
08:41Yes, sir!
08:42Sit up straight and look at me!
08:55Our mission is to join each one of you to become a United States Marine.
09:00We will give every effort to train you, even after some of you have given up on yourselves.
09:06Never quit or give up!
09:08For we, or for you, the challenge of recruit training.
09:11The opportunity on the title, the United States Marine.
09:14Aye, sir!
09:15Stand out!
09:16Stand out!
09:17Stand out!
09:18Stand out!
09:19Stand out!
09:20Stand out!
09:21Stand out!
09:22Stand out!
09:23Five, five, three, two, one!
09:24Fire, sir!
09:25Fire, sir!
09:26Stand out!
09:27There is a level of stress that's provided that kind of welcomes them to the institution,
09:31but there's nothing wrong with that.
09:33When I say instruct, you are going to scream, explode, do you understand?
09:38Give the cup and move up!
09:39A healthy level of stress to show them that there are going to be stressful times,
09:43that there are going to be stressful moments.
09:44I fall!
09:45Yes, sir!
09:46We're also trying to shake some of those civilian bad habits out of them by introducing them
09:50to the way that we do things.
09:51Yes, sir!
09:52You are done moving out!
09:54One, do you understand?
09:55Five, five, three, two, one!
09:57Seven, six, twenty-four, twenty-four, twenty-three, two, twenty-one!
10:02Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
10:06I was!
10:07I was!
10:08I was!
10:09Wake up!
10:10I was, sir!
10:11One, two, three, two, one!
10:16One!
10:18Oh!
10:19Bandwings!
10:20I mean, would you say that they've, in three weeks, changed from what they've learned
10:24when they were first picked up?
10:26Yes, it's a complete 180 from where we first got them.
10:29You get a lot of timid recruits, recruits that aren't very confident with themselves.
10:35Hot!
10:36You kind of have to see that and work with that and get them to where they need to be.
10:39They don't have their iPhones, they don't have their computers anymore.
10:42The recruits definitely miss it, and you can see it because with the generation that we have now,
10:46they're so used to, you know, just picking up their phone, looking at it.
10:49They won't realize it until we kind of bring it up, like, hey, like,
10:51you've gone a month and a half without your phone, without your computer,
10:54without any outside media source, and you're still a human being.
10:58Nice, sir!
10:59A lot of these recruits that come here, they come from broken homes,
11:01families without strong male role models.
11:04I, myself, you know, growing up from a home without a father,
11:07I've received numerous letters from my recruits saying that they see me as a father,
11:11see me as a second father, and so that in itself, it means a lot.
11:16Five, four, three, two, one!
11:17Pass, sir!
11:18Pass, sir!
11:19Pass, sir!
11:20Two calls, please move, move!
11:26So the recruits, they're supposed to be watching the senior drill instructor's house.
11:29They weren't cleaning, so at this time, they got IT, which is discipline to fix infractions,
11:35stuff that they're not doing right.
11:39What does IT stand for?
11:40It's structural training, sir.
11:44So it lasts for generally three minutes, 30-second rest, and then three minutes back again.
11:49Five, four, three, two, one!
11:51Pass, sir!
11:52Pass!
11:53Pass!
11:54Pass!
11:55Pass!
11:56Pass!
11:57Pass, sir!
11:58It's something that they don't enjoy, sir.
12:00You wouldn't get your discipline if they did enjoy it.
12:02However, it is beneficial because as soon as they get IT'd,
12:06one person starts telling the other recruits,
12:08and then they kind of start police calling each other,
12:10so it's honestly beneficial, sir.
12:11Aye, sir!
12:12Ready!
12:13Move!
12:14Move!
12:15Move!
12:16Move!
12:17Move!
12:18Move!
12:19Move!
12:20Move!
12:21Move!
12:22Move!
12:23Move!
12:24Move!
12:25Fatal! Execute!
12:27Fatal!
12:29Execute!
12:40Fatal!
12:43Execute!
12:45Fatal!
12:47Why do they scream, Fatal?
12:49So that's just the motto
12:51for our company, so Fox Company
12:53Fatal Company. I mean it's just
12:55Just always keep it fatal, that's our motto.
12:59That's something that we breed into the recruits
13:01and that's something that we're especially proud of
13:03as Fox Company drill instructors,
13:05Fatal Company drill instructors.
13:09Today we're on confidence course two,
13:11which comprises of the lower obstacles
13:13as well as the high obstacles.
13:15The goal through first phase is to kind of break them down,
13:18second phase, and we build them back up.
13:20That's the point of this course right here,
13:21to build their confidence.
13:23Stairway to Heaven, not my personal favorite.
13:26It's just challenging because it's so high up
13:28and the higher you get, the more spaced out the logs are
13:32that you have to navigate over.
13:33Do you ever find that any recruits are afraid of heights?
13:36Yes, and you don't know it until we're out here
13:38navigating these obstacles.
13:40If they're up high on the Stairway to Heaven,
13:41they have no choice to give up
13:43and that's what makes them confident
13:44in overcoming their fears is that there's no other way
13:47to get off the obstacle other than to complete it.
13:49One, two, three, six, eight.
13:54Slide for life is another obstacle
13:56that's higher up than the others.
13:58Down to those gentlemen.
13:59To build their confidence.
14:00Get in.
14:01Get them to do something that they would have probably
14:03never have done if it weren't for coming here.
14:06Round three, let go.
14:08Let's go.
14:1110-9, 10-9, 10-9, 20, 20-19, 10-9, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
14:14Down down.
14:15Battles of World War II.
14:17Battles of World War II, aye, sir.
14:19Water Canal, Iwo Jima, Tarawan, Midway, Okinawa.
14:23Who was the first female Marine?
14:24First female Marine for aye, sir.
14:26Overman Johnson, 1918.
14:28Do we all know about the Battle of Iwo Jima?
14:30Yes, sir.
14:31Who died on Iwo Jima?
14:32John Basselon.
14:33John Basselon, got it?
14:35Yes, sir.
14:35Was awarded a Medal of Honor in a whole nother
14:37friggin', a whole nother battle and then died on Iwo Jima.
14:42Got it?
14:42Yes, sir.
14:43That man was a legend.
14:44Aye, sir.
14:45Do you understand?
14:46Yes, sir.
14:47Get up!
14:48Get up!
14:49Get up!
14:50Get up!
14:51Get up!
14:52Take him out of Iwo Jima!
14:53Aye, sir!
14:54Let's go of you screaming out of Iwo Jima!
14:56Aye, sir!
14:57Take him out of Iwo Jima!
14:58Aye, sir!
14:59All you get over here now.
15:00All right now.
15:01Dodson.
15:02Yes, sir.
15:02Dominguez.
15:03Yes, sir.
15:04Elliott.
15:05Tears, sir.
15:06Fabian.
15:07Right now, we currently have 37 females on our platoon,
15:09which is probably the smallest platoon I've ever seen
15:11come through San Diego, female-wise.
15:13Ever!
15:14Here, the females actually are with the males since day one,
15:17all the way through.
15:18They obviously can't talk to each other.
15:20They don't live in the same squad base or anything, but they do PTs with each other,
15:23practice, all that stuff with each other.
15:25They go to the classrooms together.
15:26So there is interaction, but they can't talk.
15:29I didn't know that the male and female recruits could not talk to each other.
15:32No.
15:33Is that for a reason?
15:34I don't know if it's for a reason, but I believe that it does help because then the recruits
15:39are actually focused on what they actually came here to do.
15:42Recruits should never be having a good time.
15:44They should not be talking, talking about what they had for lunch or nothing.
15:47They're just strictly business for 13 weeks.
15:50I'll be a dick about the answer!
15:51Aye, sir!
15:52That's all of you I ask, sir!
15:53Aye, sir!
15:54If you talk, if you look around, I will fail you.
15:57Do you understand?
15:58Yes, sir!
16:00Big MAP is the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
16:03It's the program that we have in the Marine Corps for actually teaching fighting from different
16:08martial arts as boxing, jiu-jitsu, judo, Muay Thai, and we teach it so the Marines and recruits
16:13can be more deadly in the fleet.
16:15Uppercut!
16:16Uppercut!
16:17Execute!
16:18Go!
16:19Execute!
16:20Go!
16:21Execute the technique!
16:23Take a knee.
16:27We were telling them to take a knee because they were doing a fundamental or a principle
16:31of the technique wrong.
16:32Number three, third squad, take a knee.
16:35They can miss up to ten techniques and still pass the test, but if we did have a recruit
16:39fail the test, they would give a 24-hour period that they would retest tomorrow, and they would
16:44come to us, we would reevaluate them.
16:46I would like to think that most recruits do like it because it's a way for them to learn
16:51to control their anger and through inoculation to interpersonal violence and actually be able to
16:56let some of that out from the frustrations of recruit training.
16:58Five, four, three, two, jiu-jitsu!
16:59Five, four, three, two, jiu-jitsu!
17:20So currently we're on grass week with the recruits.
17:23What they do for the purpose of this week is to get them into the positions to better
17:27prepare them to actually shoot the rifle.
17:29What they use at recruit training is an M16A4.
17:32You have to learn the basics, learn the fundamentals before we can actually give rounds.
17:36It's that baseline before we get to push on to the next evolution of training, which
17:41would be shooting the actual rifle.
17:44Turns out this is going to work.
17:45Got it?
17:46Yes, sir!
17:47Is that how you correct to double feed?
17:48No, sir.
17:49Show me how you correct to double feed.
17:50No, sir.
17:51Show me how you correct to double feed.
17:54No, sir.
17:55Show me how you correct to double feed.
17:56No, sir.
17:57Show me how you correct to double feed.
18:01No, sir.
18:02No, sir.
18:03Show me how you correct to double feed.
18:04No, sir.
18:05Show me how you correct to double feed.
18:14Grass check.
18:15Unload.
18:16Unload.
18:17Unload.
18:18This recruit cannot...
18:19Correctly or not.
18:20Okay, no plea breaks, right?
18:21Recruit dead?
18:22Hold your breath for about three seconds and let it out.
18:23Do that three times.
18:24Breath for about three seconds, let it out, do that three times.
18:28Freak it out, you only need to freak out, got it?
18:30Yes, sir.
18:35Take it out, look at me.
18:36Yes, sir.
18:39Hit.
18:40Are we ready?
18:42Every Marine is a rifleman.
18:43You never know who's going to go to combat
18:46and who's going to actually need to use their rifle.
18:49So we need to make sure that every Marine is confident in their abilities to shoot.
18:54We have four stations, so they'll be in the kneeling, supported on the window.
19:01Hit.
19:02They'll lay down in the prone on the rooftop.
19:05They'll move to the bunker.
19:06After the bunker, they move to another prone position.
19:10You never know what positions you'll have to shoot in and what kind of cover you'll have.
19:16I'm touching your mag pouches to field for live rounds.
19:18Aye, sir.
19:21Go get cleared out by your officer.
19:22Aye, sir.
19:24When he observed wounded Marines trapped in the enemy line of fire,
19:27Corporal Kane immediately positioned himself to provide covering fire for the Marines,
19:30attempting to pull the wounded to safety, all while remaining dangerously exposed to the enemy's
19:34impact zone.
19:35He repeatedly thwarted in search and attempts to fire the machine guns down the stairs at the
19:39front of the Marines with accurate and deadly fire from the squad's automatic weapon.
19:43As the last of the wounded were being evacuated, portions of the building fell on top of him,
19:47crushing his leg.
19:48His heroic actions and selfish emotions of duty inspired all who observed him and were instrumental in the
19:53evacuation of Marines and needing urgent medical care and the destruction of the enemy's stronghold.
19:58Attose to Corporal Kane.
19:59Attose to Corporal Kane.
20:00Attose to Corporal Kane.
20:02I have always wanted to be a Marine since I was very young.
20:10My stepdad was a Marine and he's taught me basically most of everything that I know.
20:16Has this been hard?
20:18Yes sir, very hard.
20:19Why?
20:19Mostly the mental aspect for me, just being away from home.
20:24I've been away from home for a couple of weeks at a time, but it was with other family.
20:29It was never by myself.
20:30Being away from home for 13 weeks, it's kind of hard.
20:33Especially when the week I left was my niece's birthday.
20:36It was her first birthday and I had to leave the day before.
20:39And so that kind of really made me hurt for the first couple of weeks.
20:42Weaver! Weaver! Weaver! Weaver! Weaver!
20:44That's not what you're supposed to do!
20:46You were told to get on the pro!
20:47He's not responding, Weaver!
20:48Respond!
20:49Okay, now you're not responding to me.
20:50I am so!
20:51Fix it!
20:52I am him!
20:52Do something!
20:53Delegate!
20:53Do something!
20:54I am!
20:54Kodakowski!
20:55Yes!
20:56Fix the pass!
20:56Yes!
20:57The reason we were doing that is just to let everybody prove that they can be a leader
21:02at some point and take charge.
21:03Weaver!
21:04The drill instructors were correcting us on everything we're missing.
21:07You know, we weren't moving fast enough.
21:09What are you gonna do?
21:10Ah!
21:11I enjoyed it because it did give me that sense of, oh, hey, I'm actually leading and
21:15they're actually helping me lead in their own way.
21:18Two columns!
21:19This is not two!
21:20They're not responding to you.
21:21Aye, sir!
21:22Respond!
21:27They've done all of this before.
21:28They're capable of doing it.
21:30Now you're doing it when you're a little more tired, with a little less sleep.
21:36And at first it sucks.
21:38What we like to call is you embrace the suck together.
21:41And that's what makes Marines Marines.
21:45Leech!
21:45Aye, sir!
21:46Your head goes inward.
21:47Aye, sir!
21:52What are you doing?
21:53At least get to the third log.
21:55Aye, sir!
21:57Put this arm underneath.
21:58Aye, sir!
21:59Aye, sir!
21:59Oh, my!
22:00Aye, sir!
22:01Aye, sir!
22:02Oh, my!
22:02Aye, sir!
22:03Go over there with freaking delay.
22:06Aye, sir!
22:07Everything in the crucible, whatever event you may not be able to finish, there is a consequence.
22:11So if they're not able to execute the weaver, they go out to the site and we do something that's called fireman's carry.
22:16It's where you take a buddy, and you put them over your shoulders, and then you carry them from one point to another.
22:23Go Warbag!
22:24Go Warbag!
22:25Go Warbag!
22:26Signature, the report.
22:28Good morning, sir!
22:30Stick to total strength 20, total present 18, total weapons 20, total BFAs 20, total iron sights 20.
22:41What are we training for?
22:42The war, sir!
22:43We're training for freaking combat, right?
22:44The war, sir!
22:45But you want to move slow, and you want to whisper, and you want to be weak.
22:48Aye, sir!
22:48Aye, sir!
22:50What is over there?
22:50Nothing, sir!
22:51Look at me!
22:52Aye, sir!
22:52I'm fucking to you!
22:53Aye, aye, sir!
22:54Stop being weak!
22:56Aye, sir!
22:57No one cares!
22:58Aye, sir!
22:59The enemy does not care!
23:00Aye, sir!
23:01Wake up!
23:01Aye, ma'am!
23:02No!
23:03Get up!
23:04You're not doing anything for him!
23:05Aye, ma'am!
23:06Where did the zipper go?
23:07Middle, ma'am!
23:08So, if you already know it, why don't you do it on yourself?
23:10Because one of these zippers is...
23:12I don't care!
23:16Stop being complacent!
23:18Aye, ma'am!
23:19It's the little things that add up!
23:21Aye, ma'am!
23:22Just put it away!
23:22Aye, sir!
23:23Go!
23:23Grab the cantita!
23:24Aye, sir!
23:25Now get out of my face!
23:26Aye, sir!
23:27Aye, who's...
23:27Fix your back!
23:28Fix your back!
23:28Fix your back!
23:29Reynoso!
23:29Grab the...
23:30Let's go!
23:31Go!
23:31Aye, aye, sir!
23:32Aye, aye, sir!
23:33Aye, aye, sir!
23:33Aye, aye, sir!
23:34Make a decision!
23:35Go!
23:35Aye, sir!
23:36Aye, sir!
23:39Some of you are going to realize maybe you'll get out and you won't even go to college, even though you joined for college in the first place, right?
23:45Aye, aye, sir!
23:45Some of you are going to join for college and realize you want to stay in.
23:50Like, even then, that's not a bad reason to join the military, right?
23:52Aye, sir!
23:53You're serving your country, you're doing your family and your friends proud as well, right?
23:57Aye, sir!
23:58And yourself as well, you understand?
23:59Aye, sir!
24:00There's more to it than just joining for college, right?
24:03Aye, sir!
24:04Because you could join any branch and get free college, right?
24:07Yes, sir!
24:07You could join, like, the reserve friggin' Coast Guard and you just swim in a pool all day, right?
24:11Yes, sir!
24:12But you chose to friggin' join the Marine Corps specifically because it's the most difficult branch,
24:16right?
24:16Yes, sir!
24:17So you have that reason, like, you want to go to college, but also you joined to be a friggin'
24:20Marine.
24:21Aye, sir!
24:22You could have gotten that college with any other branch.
24:24Aye, sir!
24:24So you have those two reasons, right?
24:26Yes, sir!
24:27Why you wanted to join the military and why you wanted to be a Marine.
24:29Aye, sir!
24:30You got to remember both of those, make sense?
24:31Yes, sir!
24:32After we get out of here, we're going to be doing two equals six, that make sense?
24:35Aye, sir!
24:36You got some beef with somebody, or, you know what I'm saying?
24:40Like, there's your chance, you understand?
24:41Yes, sir!
24:42Aye!
24:43Nine, ten, eleven.
24:44Grab your canteen, make bag gloves, mouthpiece, have it out right now!
24:54So before I came here, I'd never done hand-to-hand combat at all, and it really worried me at first,
25:00but I feel that I am confident enough to at least be able to defend myself and someone else that I care for.
25:07You died.
25:08You're the killer, understand?
25:09Aye, sir!
25:10Look her out, you go to the pit.
25:11Aye, sir!
25:11Aye, sir!
25:12Aye, sir!
25:13Twenty-three!
25:14Aye, sir!
25:14Twenty-four!
25:15Seven!
25:16Four!
25:16Thirty-nine!
25:17Five!
25:17All the way up there, God!
25:18All the way up there, God!
25:20Do you want to go back over there?
25:21Yeah!
25:21You do?
25:23Can I go back over there, sir?
25:24What the hell?
25:25You don't get a pick where you want to go.
25:28Okay, now, yeah, yeah, definitely back at zero.
25:30Aye, sir!
25:31Okay, pick it up now.
25:31Aye, sir!
25:33One!
25:33Aye, sir!
25:34Aye, sir!
25:35Aye, sir!
25:36Aye, sir!
25:38Aye, sir!
25:38God damn it!
25:39Aye, sir!
25:47They're just changing out their socks to a dry pair of socks, just to take care of their feet,
25:50keep their feet dry.
25:52Need some antibiotics going here?
25:54Right now, they're probably feeling a little bit of pain, some hot spots and stuff like that,
25:57but it's nothing that is going to kill them.
26:00Let's go!
26:01Same thing, but I have to jump.
26:03You have to try.
26:03Jump.
26:04Try first, let him try.
26:06You have to try.
26:06Let's go!
26:09Look at how many recruits it takes to get you over.
26:12How embarrassing!
26:15Pick up your own weight!
26:19It's crazy how they helped you, but you just walk away when they help you.
26:22I'm in.
26:23Selfist individual.
26:24I'm in.
26:26Some of them just don't really like to try as hard as others.
26:30It frustrates me as a Marine seeing how much we, how much hard work we put into them.
26:36I understand they come from different backgrounds and they were raised different,
26:40so we just try to help them understand our culture here.
26:43Let's go!
26:44I'm in.
26:45Stop taking your street side!
26:46I'm in.
26:47Don't let slip!
26:48Don't let slip!
26:49I can't, I can't.
26:50I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't.
26:52I can't, I can't.
26:52No, let him fall, he's going to fall, he's going to fall.
26:55You always get the easy way out!
26:57Let's go!
26:58All right, sir.
26:58Go!
27:00Some of the recruits they point in the crucible, they're very tired.
27:03The lack of sleep and the lack of calories getting into their body is really getting to them,
27:06so they're starting to fall behind. So when those recruits start to fall behind,
27:10the rest of the platoon brings them up and encourages them to continue on.
27:13Let's go!
27:15Do you need help?
27:16Back here by the road.
27:16Hell no!
27:17Hell no!
27:18Me? Need help?
27:19Right on.
27:20Oh.
27:21I know that for sure.
27:24All right, let's go!
27:30Get on the road now!
27:36Get on the road now!
27:56Get on the road!
28:00Get on the road now!
28:02Get up, get up!
28:17Let's go!
28:20Let's go!
28:32Let's go!
29:02How are you doing, Weaver?
29:05Good, sir.
29:07Really good, sir.
29:08How are you feeling now?
29:09It's almost all over.
29:11Well, not quite over yet, sir, but I'm feeling like I can conquer the world.
29:19It's not over until it's over, you understand?
29:21Aye, sir!
29:22You get to see the mission too, you understand me?
29:24Yes, sir!
29:25Pack the body now!
29:26Aye, sir!
29:27Pack the body, let's go!
29:28Aye, sir!

29:57Your drill instructors have subjected you to the final test of recruit training!

30:09Old breed, new breed!
30:12It doesn't matter!
30:14As long as it's the Marine breed!
