00:00All right, today we're taking a look at the new Pioneer DDJ-1000SRT. Now a lot of DJs know that
00:12there's something similar to this. Pioneer was only using their Redbox program, which means you
00:18couldn't use Serato. This specific model actually lets you use Serato. So bam, hooked up to Serato
00:26right here. Good to go. It's really cool. I like this a lot because one, I originally
00:37had the DDJ-SZ2 and what bothered me about the SZ2 was the silver plates. Now what bothered
00:45me about the silver plates a lot was the fact that you're DJ on these things and the fingerprints
00:49get all over it. It just gets a little messy. It's just personal preference. So these actually
00:54have the standard CDJ plates, black, you know, you got that little vinyl-y kind of feel to
01:01it. Also, you got all your pads here, your hot cues, your rolls, which means you can...
01:09That's basically what those keys do right there with a roll key at least. You have your slicers.
01:20But here, I mean, I like the fact that the mix is very glossy. Definitely has a great feel,
01:26especially this fader right here. You have the Magdell fader, the same one that's actually
01:32being used on the S9. So again, I really enjoyed this a lot. You have your, all your different effects,
01:43your reverbs, your phasers, your pitch, echo, low-cut echo, whatnot. Designate them to any
01:53type of channel that you want. Overall, man, I really like the feel of this thing. I think
01:59the only thing that bothered me when I first got it was the fact that the curve on the mixer,
02:07on the mixer, you actually have to go in here and adjust it. So the crossfader speed, you have to
02:18come in here and adjust it instead of having it. Usually it would normally be like right here.
02:22But yeah, other than that, I mean, this is a very solid controller, very small, very compact. It's a lot
02:31smaller than the SZ2. My friends were actually telling me, yo, just keep the SZ2, but I like
02:38how, you know, this feels.
03:01So let me slide over here. You have the four beat loop, which is actually really dope. Just
03:06tap that and it will loop the four bars and the track that I have right here.
03:18Cool thing right here, minus the glare. Don't mind the glare at all. But you know, you have the BPMs
03:23right here, the beats per minute of the song and how long the song is and the countdown as well.
03:28I love that it's actually on the center of the plate. Yeah, I highly recommend it.
03:34I mean, it doesn't take too much space. The mixer on the center of the controller
03:39is actually really good. So there you have it, the DDJ-1000SRT Serato Edition by Pioneer.
