00:15In this series I can say welcome to your

00:42Yes, he got all hot under the collar for some air conditioning
00:46We will be meeting him and the valiant runner-up and Nisa very soon
00:50Plus Lord sugar will be chatting with us later to tell us all about the latest hiring decision
00:55But I couldn't do such a grand occasion on my own could I joining me to celebrate a wonderful series
01:01It's broadcaster and apprentice fan Kate Garroway and of course Lord sugar's comrades who you can't get anything past
01:08It's Baroness Karen Brady and Tim Campbell
01:12Oh
01:30What a momentous occasion
01:33We can't get we can't catch our breath can we with
01:35So excited and I say what an amazing couple of finalists say what they may see phenomenal phenomenal
01:41Been a wonderful series Karen and Tim. I know it's been a lot of work for you guys. We see you writing your notes or Tim
01:46You like to type don't you actually I'm a bit of a touch typist. Yes. I was gonna say did you do a course in that very fast?
01:52I did put out on my CV, you know
01:54I think for me one of my favorite moments was when we went to Turkey, but for all the wrong reasons
02:06We had a corporate way day, which was a disaster
02:09from start to finish and the clients were thoroughly cheesed off by the end of it
02:13So it was a it was one of those memorable tasks
02:16But for the wrong reasons, but it made great telly right
02:22Tim did you have a favorite I really like the financial banking that we did with the young people
02:26I'm seeing the young people mortified at what was produced
02:31They were the best best best research ever I've seen in the whole of the show
02:35I love it whenever they go to the search groups and especially if it's kids they will let them know
02:43We've actually got jordan and chisola and amber rose here in the audience with us lovely to have you guys
02:49You are an apprentice fan. I'm a ridiculous apprentice now particularly this series actually i've always loved it
03:01but i just think all the candidates have been just really
03:04likeable and
03:07funny at times
03:08But but just i've just really liked them and i've kind of thought actually you know at one point you think you're being ridiculous
03:14And you think no you're not being ridiculous actually i've just i've gone on a real journey tom
03:19oh yeah i really have sometimes i think people don't realize at home how hard they have to work
03:24what they have to go through how intense is now they have to keep believing in themselves
03:27i mean when the phone goes and you and you watch it and it says it's 4am it really is 4am
03:32because we're up at the same time
03:34Is it really 20 minutes as well?
03:36Oh, okay
03:37I thought you had to give them 20 minutes
03:39Look, look, they are not doing the way they've got the time pressure they know the time pressure
03:43How do you do your hair and makeup in 20 minutes?
03:45My family doesn't live in 20 minutes
03:46Yeah, and you look amazing
03:49Well, they had longer than 20 minutes today
03:52The last time this series here are a few moments from tonight's apprentice finale which really caught my eye
03:59I for one was a huge fan of liam's air conditioning based rap
04:05You're gonna say i turned on my heat in ages ago it should warm up in an hour or so
04:09Yeah
04:10Yeah
04:11Yeah
04:13I love it
04:14Love it, love it
04:15Why not?
04:16APPLAUSE
04:20Now, Tim likes sitting in the corner making his notes but i think this was the first time he wished he was back at the table
04:27Honestly, it's banging like it tastes so good
04:31And i really want to know the story behind why bony m triggers lord sugar
04:45And those are the things that really caught my eye in the apprentice fight
04:55Well enough of my whimsy it's now time to meet the remarkable candidate who nearly made it all the way
05:07Please welcome the runner-up of the apprentice 2025
05:11Anissa khan
05:13I have to start by saying congratulations
05:15I have absolutely loved watching you through this process
05:19How does it how does it feel to have made the final no it means the world to me to make the final i've been a big fan of the show so seven and the fact that i got to do all the tasks get to the final this means so much lord sugar did seem very torn i think
05:47Very torn between the two of you how difficult a decision do you think it was for him
05:53I think really tough yeah i mean he really weighed it up i mean we we thought the world of you
05:59You started as you meant to go on when you put yourself forward you kept putting yourself forward
06:04I was so impressed with you anissa i thought you were the
06:07You know you you really symbolized to me what i think a strong successful professional go-getter
06:14Entrepreneurial woman is and i can't wish you more luck in the world than than you i hope you have from from here going forward
06:23Thank you so much that means so much to me you know i never once hid i wanted to be out there from the beginning
06:30And i'm so glad i got to do that you know i just want to say to you this i mean i think it's hard for you because
06:35um you know you've been locked in this bubble and obviously you wanted to win but i think you're
06:41going to be a huge success anyway i don't think you realize how you've affected people and you've
06:47inspired people and i just think you are going to go on and triumph and you're probably out of the two
06:54the one that didn't need to win that's just from an outsider looking in i think you're going to have a
06:58huge career and it's going to go brilliantly i appreciate it so much i think growing up i feel
07:03like i didn't have a role model in the same way like i represented me on tv so when i applied to the
07:09show it was so important for me to represent you know myself and my community as well as i as well as
07:15i possibly could um and that's why you know i never hid from the beginning i made sure i got my point
07:20across every even though i lost the most of everyone i fought for every single time you know to get
07:26through so i'm still proud i got to the final and i know i know that you have friends and family here
07:32tonight now where we're up where are you hello everybody hi hi you've got your mom and your dad
07:42hi lovely to see you i know you guys have always specialized in in indian cuisine uh what do you
07:48think this pizza idea very good idea yes very good idea yeah yeah it's because we are doing in the rest
07:54with all the free fresh ingredients yes so when you make a chicken ticker pizza just coming over
07:59from the tandoori grill stay to the pizza topping and you're never going to find anywhere in the
08:04country same one oh i like that karen how delicious was anisa's pizza oh it was fantastic um i mean lord
08:11sugar had two pieces then he ate half of mine uh it was so good it was really really excellent if you
08:18go to other pizza chef most of them using frozen and they buy in-house everything so best pizza in the
08:23country okay well i mean my daddy's made the tv i tell you it's great news you've saved on the marketing
08:36budget already well you're done all your family is so lovely thank thank you very much for coming to see
08:44us uh give it up for the cards everybody um lovely i am a little bit annoyed though that you didn't
08:53bring any pizza with you today i know i know well i have bombay pizza by post now so now we can ship
09:02nationwide because a big problem i had is often from wellington south london it's a bit hard to get to
09:08and i noticed so many people demanding it across the country oh yeah so i thought why not ship it
09:12out yeah ship it out fresh you can bake at home oh that's great just as good as well you see
09:22let's talk about the finale uh that final pitch how did that feel walking out in in front of all
09:27those people no it felt great i felt very confident doing it as well because again i am very passionate
09:32about my business i know my product so walking out there and i was so happy i got to wear a lenga
09:37so i remember like when i walked in and everyone's like jaws dropped i was like i got this yeah yeah
09:43it was a good pitch right good pitch fantastic i mean the passion came across i think the thing about
09:48public speaking is when it's your specialist subject which is your business it should be something that
09:53comes naturally but it is very difficult standing up in a room few hundred people lord sugar us industry
10:02experts people that know the business you know in a different way that you do that are ready to
10:08you know critique what you say and listen to everything you say so it is intimidating but you
10:12never would have known you had any nerves if you did have any i thought we handled yourself beautifully
10:17thank you so much some of your former candidates joined you that must have been a nice nice experience
10:22did that sort of bolster your confidence yeah yeah they were they were great like my team were amazing
10:26that day they hyped me up from beginning to end yeah and honestly they gave me so much support we love
10:31you anisa thanks amber rose and chisola all three of you i thought throughout the whole process very
10:40great great communicators as well very good very clever very clever we haven't got an investment either
10:45but what we can give you of course is the very fabulous uh very expensive your fight executive
10:53business trophy so maybe you can use that uh i'll keep it on this side keep it on that side
11:00you can use that use it use it as a train whatever you like whatever you like well well uh nisa
11:09congratulations on reaching the final and now let's have a look at your epic journey through the
11:14process there's nothing i can't do i am an all-rounder and i will do whatever it takes to win
11:20guys wake up let's get to cooking yes yes anisa made herself known right from the get-go i'm happy to
11:27put myself forward as project manager she was focused strong female empowered she is not one to be
11:32messed with let's shake on that she's smart she's charismatic she's excited
11:39she is highly impressive in her work ethic this game right now is just like win win win and even
11:49though she lost a number of tasks it's not been amazing she always bounced back we weren't able
11:55to send you a sample i'm gonna talk your way out of this one mistakes do happen i will learn from
12:00them and i know i can move forward from this it was a five star pizza i'm super proud of what anisa
12:07has achieved already she's going to be doing her south asian community proud she will inspire a lot
12:12of young women out there today i feel like in life anyone can have a dream but what you mean to do
12:19is work hard towards it i would say this is the biggest achievement of my life think of any of the
12:26top curries i put on a pizza there's been a lot of mistakes but i didn't regret any of it because
12:33i've now become a much stronger businesswoman because of it i hope i can be an inspiration to
12:39show that if you really believe in yourself you can achieve your dreams what do you think
12:51well and lisa congratulations i can now release you to go and join your friends and family in the
12:57audience i know they are desperate to catch up with you um but congratulations on reaching the final
13:02you've been absolutely amazing anisa khan everybody anisa
13:16it's now time to meet our winner after 12 agonizing weeks lord sugar chose his newest
13:22business partner let's remind ourselves of that momentous moment giving it deep consideration
13:30i'm going to say that
13:34dean you're going to be my business partner thank you love you love honestly you don't understand what
13:41this means to me congratulations congratulations well done dean
13:46please welcome the winner of the apprentice 2025 and lord sugar's newest business partner dean franklin
13:57what a crowd
14:21dean it's lovely to meet you at last oh thanks for having me
14:24i mean we've all enjoyed watching you throughout the process um you've worked very hard and and
14:29now you are the winner of the apprentice 2025 how does that feel oh it's a lot i ain't took it in
14:34yet there's so many emotions going on right now yeah um yeah it's just a whirlwind of emotions yeah
14:40and i know you've got your friends and family yeah now where's where's dean's friends and family place oh hi
14:46everybody hello
14:53and wife chloe is joining us chloe oh i mean how does it feel how you must be so proud of him oh i am so
15:01proud of him and i think he should be so proud of himself i think he's done amazing and daddy cool
15:07is his nickname does he make you call that make me he wishes
15:15we play it time to time you know we spice things up be careful chloe
15:19look that you come down and slap you up well thank you so much chloe and all of dean's friends and
15:25family lovely to have you here you said the process broke you and then rebuilt you so how have you
15:36changed in what way um yeah going through the process it was hard um it was like an army you know
15:42like like i can imagine signing up to the army yeah sent away yes they break you and then they make
15:47you karen you are such a major of course yeah listen it is tough yeah but it's all worth it there are
15:56times i think where everyone has a little bit of a wobble particularly tim and i yes but um but yeah
16:03well done congratulations yeah it's great and you had a worthy opponent in anisa in that that last task
16:09even in the boardroom you guys were still we could tell couldn't we how much they both wanted it that must
16:14have been that must have been actually very inspiring yeah i mean anisa's brilliant she's
16:18amazing um she knows her stuff and she ain't scared to put herself forward she's confident
16:24yeah such a worthy candidate yeah well i mean i thought it was very very close the whole way
16:28through very exciting to watch lord sugar said that he felt you uh had had been quite good but at
16:33some rocky moments where you survived by the skin of your teeth uh what do you think made him the winner
16:38then tim what lord sugar really liked about you dean was that you weren't trying to be these grandiose
16:44um individual who was going to sell a story you said if i get one more van i'll make more money
16:50and that actually really resonated with him i think because he could see the pathway that he could help
16:54you with his mentorship and guidance and i think that's really important that's exactly it and you're
16:59both you're both sort of you know essex boys as well aren't you do you think he like that word
17:04what is that it doesn't do that nonsense we don't see him he only just walks into the behind the
17:16desk and sits there we don't know we don't know we'll have a cup of tea uh okay do i need to see
17:24dean here as the winner i'm thrilled to see dinner here i um i also think there's something lovely
17:28about your business it's quite refreshing for me because a lot of new businesses these days feel
17:32a bit intangible their apps or that this and that there's something lovely about the celebration of
17:37a trade you make stuff and you fit it and you do it the best that you possibly could do and i just
17:43feel like i'm not sure how much of that we have in britain we don't have enough of it i don't think
17:48so i just love the fact that you and your trade and your professionalism has won through it's brilliant
17:53yeah yeah that was great and i love the way actually that you said i'm not good at you know
17:57you said i can't do that i've never done this before i've never written a business plan before
18:00i thought that was a huge strength which actually is an amazing just to show humility and go policy
18:06yeah yeah and i think with lord sugar he's been there in my shoes you know he's created radios and
18:12cd players and all sorts in his past and i think that's what you see he see my passion for my business
18:17and that's what i think he likes not being afraid to say you don't know that's a real skill
18:22i think and a real advantage because most people try and pretend don't they and actually it's just
18:28excruciatingly embarrassing well i built a whole career out of it me too
18:35now some familiar faces were back of course for the final and you had uh jordan and mia
18:39helping you was that was that helpful yeah jordan was class jordan was so good in the animation that's
18:44his world and he took me i'm a dinosaur compared to him you know he he knew exactly what he was doing
18:51and he was steering me in the right direction oh so he really helped me out in that last task i think
18:56you were well supported very well supported actually you had a moment in the interviews of course where
19:01mike uh mike uncovered that photo do you remember that that must have been quite unnerving i don't
19:06think i'll ever forget that yeah that was one of my most embarrassing moments ever no really you weren't
19:13that embarrassed surely i didn't know what to say well i went into that like knowing my numbers knowing my
19:18business oh and it just completely caught me off guard um and then yeah i got stuck on my words
19:24didn't i with climate change oh i liked that what do you keep calling it though i was trying to say
19:29climate control
19:30i was trying to say climate change yeah when i said climate control it just sort of threw me
19:41and it's lost everything well it wouldn't be the apprentice without your new business partner
19:47lord sugar but before he joins us let's remind ourselves of how extra animated he's been this series
19:54let's get down let's get down to business hello have you not met me before soft in the middle fluffy on
20:02the outside yeah sounds a bit like me the sweet sound that breathes upon a bank of violence what are you
20:09doing you dipstick i'm the only judge you need to impress i should believe and hope so at least one of you
20:17you'll be fine right enough of that
20:37my lord how are you i'm fine thank you very much tom you've got a brand new business partner what made
20:44you go today yeah well you know what it's very interesting i think kate hit the now on the head
20:50and i think it's quite refreshing uh for the apprentice that you know while some people come
20:56through with ideas of apps and all these new fangled things this is good old-fashioned hardware
21:05a tradesman and this is the backbone of the british industry right this is the smes small
21:14small um businesses uh that that the likes of dean run and that's what i liked about it and and and
21:23there is um a lot of future in air conditioning uh i mean climate change dean climate change dean uh has
21:36has given calls to um people uh waking up and realizing they need air conditioning so i'm very
21:45interested in that i'm also interested in dean himself uh with and and his business plan and and i
21:52think there's a lot of potential there dean just pipped anisa to the post uh was she a worthy runner-up
21:59absolutely uh and i feel a little bit sorry for her because she put her heart and soul into it
22:06she runs a very very good business out of her out of her dad's um restaurant um and she's very
22:13innovative to to be perfectly frank about it it was very difficult decision um i could have invested in
22:22her i can still invest in her maybe one day i did tell her that you know to go away and let the dust
22:30settle and count to ten and maybe we'll keep our eyes on her and if there's something worthy there
22:38i might come back to her on this well very promising indeed anisa what proved to you that dean's business
22:53could be scalable it is a massive market um and the methodology of which dean installs uh is um easy
23:05in respect to old-fashioned air conditioning that needed piping and all that stuff so it is quite easy
23:13to do i mean i'm not undermining how hard he works but i mean um it's much easier than the old-fashioned
23:21way i think it's a tremendous market out there but he's got to get down to some good marketing and um
23:27some more engineers more vans a big showroom and and all that stuff and that's where the money comes
23:35into it yeah was it the offer of uh free air conditioning in your bedroom that swayed you
23:42not not really not really but um because i've already got it oh
23:48how excited are you to be working with lord sugar yeah i can't wait i can't wait to prove how much
23:53we can do you know we can take this to the next level and just expand and just keep going yeah yeah
23:59i'm sure i mean what can dean expect from working with you lord sugar well it's not just i mean let me
24:05make it perfectly clear as i do every year it's not the money the money is helpful but what is more
24:15important is is that we will keep eyes on him and make sure that he does the right thing and i always
24:23say this famous statement of mine tell him what not to do rather than what to do bearing in mind i've
24:31been in business for 60 years um and i've seen everything done everything and everything's you know
24:39things have gone wrong and all that stuff and things have gone right and i can smell things when
24:45when they're going right and he and also monitor and warn um if he's if he's if he's going off the
24:54rails a bit well i mean um as ever you're very inspiring to talk to you because i know you do
25:01believe in hard work and you believe in in people doing their best we'll let you get on because i know
25:06you're a busy man but uh thank you so much for joining us uh lord sugar everybody thank you thank
25:18right dean well well you've got the quarter of a million pound investment uh but i couldn't have
25:24you leaving here empty-handed of course because we have got the you're hired executive business trophy
25:30and this is very special very expensive and this is for you and it says hired on that side and on the
25:37other side it says hired as well you were never fired
25:49oh great wonderful congratulations congratulations i'm so happy for you and uh you are the winner of the
25:55apprentice 2025. thank you and while you soak it all in let's take a look at your incredible journey
26:00to that top spot you should never judge a book by its cover i'm a boss i know i'm the best
26:06whoa jerky chappy from this i think i'm the coolest candidate here strong what you see with dean is what
26:12you get i can sell anything who likes e-bikes he's cool he's charming i'm a haggler i'm the best dress
26:18you know that this is a pocket watch because you would literally put it in your pocket
26:23he's the dad of the house that's banging so much energy yeah you know it's going to be a good task
26:29when you're adding on your team the juice ain't worth the squeeze he showed strong business acumen
26:33it's a good deal dan he did so well bringing really creative and good ideas to the table matcha tea
26:39and guarantee people will love it hey didn't i say get out my seat pow yeah but banging
26:44is this is some kind of cockney expression and this will be like bankruptcy you can't bankrupt to
26:50six to nine year old dean i'll be keeping my eyes on i'm not good at kids banking apps but air conditioning
26:58i'm like that let's have it mate do you remember posting this i thought it'd be quite funny i've never
27:04been one of those in my whole life i'm not only here for myself i'm here for my wife and kids
27:10just can't stop thinking about how proud they're going to be of me
27:17i am daddy cool dean i'm really proud of you for what you've achieved and how you've evolved
27:24throughout the process experiences broke me and then remade me it's been one of the best moments
27:31my life is just unbelievable is that it well we've reached the end of the show and the series please
27:46thank kate garraway as well as our apprentice family baroness karen brady tim campbell and of course lord
