God Told Moses That Passover Would Start in the Beginning Month of Their Calendar. Passover, Indeed, Was the Beginning of All Feast Days. Following the Theme of the Lamb Throughout the Bible Reveals: Abel's Lamb of Propitiation; Abraham's of Substitution; Passover Lambs of Protection; Sin Offering Lamb for Absolution; Suffering Lamb of Expiation; the Lamb of God Removing Sin; and! the Lamb of Personal Salvation and Redemption.

00:00That we need to understand is that we should be able to differentiate the holy from the profane.
00:08There's a lot of secular things. There's nothing wrong with them.
00:10Nothing wrong with them. They are what they are.
00:13But when you get to dealing with holy things, we should know.
00:17And this is where you get into the discerning of spirits.
00:23The Passover is going to be observed this year from April the 12th through April the 19th.
00:30Which, of course, coincides with Easter.
00:33Because this Sunday, the 20th, is Easter Sunday.
00:36Now keep in mind that the Orthodox churches around the world, some of them observe Easter at a different date.
00:43So there's nothing fixed about this necessarily.
00:46But we here, we'll be observing at the 20th day, which, of course, is this coming Sunday.
00:53We call it Easter Sunday.
00:54I understand all about Ishtar and the Golden Gate and all that Ishtar Gate.
00:58Please, I've been at this a while.
01:01People that come after me like I don't know anything, don't know what they're talking about.
01:05And some of them have been, say, maybe five or ten years.
01:08And a lot of them don't know.
01:09About all they know is enough to be dangerous.
01:12Amen.
01:13And what we need to do is to understand.
01:16Things may not be what they appear to be.
01:17And when you start dealing with a subject, on the surface of it, a lot of times that's the only thing that's ever dealt with.
01:25But ask God to give you wisdom.
01:27He may take you a little deeper into it.
01:28There may be some great truths to learn from it.
01:31And that's what I constantly search for.
01:34For example, in the book of Exodus, chapter number 12, verse number 2, it says,
01:39This month shall be unto you the beginning of months.
01:41It shall be the first month of the year to you.
01:44Speak unto all the congregation of Israel, saying,
01:47In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb,
01:51according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house.
01:55Now, this is the beginning of what we call Passover, because it was here that God judged the gods of Egypt.
02:05And, of course, all humankind could ever see is what God was doing externally to them,
02:10or what they could see and observe and understand.
02:13But there could have been a much deeper message going on here.
02:17It could have been something that it would be hard for us to comprehend.
02:22He put them on notice.
02:23When he came through that night and the death angel came through Egypt,
02:27he was looking for the firstborn.
02:29That's all.
02:31He was not looking for a Jew, a Gentile.
02:33Jews, of course, the term didn't exist at the time.
02:36The Hebrew, the Israelite, the Gentile didn't mean one thing to him.
02:41He was looking for blood.
02:43And if the blood was on the doorpost and lentils, he passed over them.
02:49And that's where we get the term Passover.
02:50He said, if I see the blood, I will pass over you.
02:55And this is what counts today.
02:57He's not interested in the accolades we have placed upon us,
03:01and whether we're Americans or we're Argentines or we're British or we're Italian or whatever.
03:06is the blood applied.
03:09That's what matters.
03:11That's what matters.
03:12Every culture in every age in its own way approach God.
03:17They worship.
03:18They have their services, the church polity and so forth.
03:23And that's all fine.
03:25That's all well and good.
03:26This is why the New Testament says, let everything be done decently and in order.
03:29That's really what matters.
03:32But what really matters is the fact that we here, 2025, in the southern part of America,
03:39the Appalachian, the so-called Bible Belt, then we have a way that we come into the house
03:45and we worship.
03:46And that's all well and good.
03:47That's fine.
03:48But if they may do it a little differently in western Scotland, they may do it a little
03:53differently in northern Ireland, or they may do it differently in Italy.
03:56So you need to keep that in mind.
03:59One of the greatest blessings I had by going to the Holy Land is to see Christians from
04:04all over the world, folks.
04:06I'm talking about all over the world.
04:09And they're coming to the same spot, worshiping the same Savior and the same places.
04:15And I observe them.
04:17That's been my nature from day one.
04:19I watch.
04:20I look.
04:20And I couldn't, you cannot deny the joy that was on the face of so many of these people.
04:26And I couldn't understand a word of their language.
04:29I didn't have to.
04:30The Spirit witnessed with my spirit.
04:33They loved the same Lord that I love.
04:35That's important.
04:37Keep that in mind.
04:38So this Passover starts in Exodus 12.
04:42And this, of course, is the beginning of months.
04:44The reason it's the beginning is because none of the rest of the feast days mean a thing
04:48without the Passover, without the resurrection.
04:50That's right.
04:51If there's no resurrection, then your faith is in vain.
04:55In the New Testament, 1 Peter 1, it says,
04:57Forasmuch then, verse 18, you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things,
05:02as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers,
05:07but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
05:12So what we do, we have a theme running through the whole Bible about the Lamb of God.
05:17And here in Exodus, chapter number 12, this Passover lamb foreshadows the coming Messiah,
05:25the Mashiach, the Lamb of God.
05:28You cannot disassociate him from that title.
05:31He's the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.
05:34He's not the Lamb of man.
05:36He's not the Lamb of the church.
05:38He's the Lamb of God.
05:39He's God's Lamb, which would force you to say,
05:43Well, then how did God see His Lamb when He offered Him up on the cross?
05:48See that?
05:49That's the way to understand Scripture.
05:51How did God see Him?
05:52Because He was delivered by the determined for counsel and knowledge of God.
05:57It says in the book of Acts, yes, sir,
06:01Before the foundation of the world, He was the Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world.
06:07Before Adam ever sinned the first time, the Lamb of God was already in the mind of God.
06:12It was the finished deal.
06:13It was done.
06:14He was given.
06:15So this is the one we serve tonight.
06:18He has never reacted to anything.
06:21He knows what's going to happen exactly when and how.
06:25And He will work all things according to the counsel of His own will.
06:29And I'm glad I'm here tonight by the grace of God, aren't you?
06:33In the book of Psalm chapter number 22,
06:36David describes the death of Christ, and he describes it in detail.
06:41Psalm 22 and verse 1, he said,
06:43My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
06:49Chapter 22, verse 8,
06:51He trusted on the Lord that He would deliver him.
06:54Let him deliver him, seeing he delighteth in him.
06:58Did you know that they quote that very scripture in the New Testament?
07:03Would you look at this?
07:04Turn to the book of Matthew chapter number 27.
07:12And verse 41,
07:14Likewise, the chief priests mocking him with the scribes and elders,
07:18said, He saved others.
07:21Himself He cannot save.
07:22If He be the King of Israel,
07:24let Him now come down from the cross and we will believe Him.
07:28Look at this.
07:30He trusted in God.
07:32Let Him deliver him now.
07:34And that's exactly the prophecy of the book of Psalm,
07:37chapter 22 and verse number 8.
07:40Isn't that remarkable?
07:41The Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ,
07:46He'd bear our sins and He would suffer silently in our place.
07:51In Isaiah 53, verse 7,
07:53He was afflicted.
07:55He was oppressed.
07:56Yet He opened not His mouth.
07:59Brought as a lamb to the slaughter.
08:01As sheep before His shearers is dumb.
08:03So He openeth not His mouth.
08:05Every word the Lord Jesus spoke during this time called the time of the Passion
08:11was ordained in the counsel of God.
08:15He spoke it exactly as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost
08:19would have Him speak it.
08:21So He suffered silently many times and in many ways
08:26that we could never really fully understand.
08:29Matthew chapter 27, verse 12,
08:31There's a strong tradition in the Orthodox Church
08:52that Pilate's wife,
08:54you remember reading the New Testament where it says,
08:56I have had a dream about this man and suffered many things.
09:02In plainer words, essentially she's saying,
09:03I had a nightmare about this.
09:05This is a just man.
09:07Leave him alone.
09:08And of course Pilate listened,
09:09but Pilate's accountable to the Caesar
09:11and he has to keep the Pax Romana.
09:14But what happens here is that his wife,
09:17no doubt watched this.
09:18She watched everything that happened to our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:22And there's a strong tradition in the Orthodox Church
09:25that she became a Christian after the resurrection of Christ,
09:30Pilate's wife.
09:31Whether that's so or not,
09:33I'll just put it out there as tradition.
09:35Remember this, that the scholars said,
09:38Pilate, there's no authority,
09:40there's no evidence that Pilate,
09:42that's recorded in the New Testament, ever lived.
09:45Nothing.
09:46Until they found it at Caesarea Maritima.
09:49A stone with the name Pilatus on it.
09:51That's right, I've seen the stone.
09:53I've been there.
09:54It's quite a thing.
09:54Of course, I'm sure the stone we saw was a reproduction.
09:57They'll keep the real one in a museum somewhere,
10:00unless someone carried it off.
10:02Oh yeah.
10:03He said, there's many things that I have to say
10:05and I'd like to say to you,
10:06but you can't bear them yet.
10:08The Bible says when the Holy Spirit comes,
10:10he'll guide us into all truth.
10:11He'll not speak for himself,
10:13but whatsoever he shall hear,
10:14that shall he speak.
10:16That implies that God has a continuing conversation
10:20and revelation to his people, right?
10:23Of course it does.
10:24It means that he's continuing to speak to us.
10:27And I'm thankful for that.
10:28Amen.
10:29Of course, here's a warning.
10:30Don't listen to everybody that says they're prophets,
10:33they're apostles and all that.
10:35Try them.
10:36The New Testament says we've tried those
10:37who say they're apostles and they're not.
10:39So you've got to be careful with those who say that.
10:45The Messiah would come riding on a donkey,
10:47it says in Zechariah 9, verse 9.
10:49Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion.
10:52Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem.
10:54Behold, thy king cometh unto these just,
10:56having salvation, lowly, riding upon an ass,
11:00upon a colt, the foal of an ass.
11:03And then in Matthew chapter 21,
11:05he said, go over into such a village.
11:07In verse number 3,
11:08And if any man say to you,
11:09ye shall say,
11:10The Lord hath need of them,
11:11and straightway he will send them.
11:13All this was done,
11:14that it might be fulfilled,
11:16which was spoken by the prophet,
11:18saying,
11:19Tell you the daughter of Zion,
11:20behold, thy king cometh unto thee,
11:23meek and sitting upon an ass,
11:27and a colt, the foal of an ass.
11:30And so he was.
11:31This is how he came.
11:32Now the Bible says in the Old Testament
11:34that man, man, mankind is born
11:38as a wild asses colt.
11:40That's how we're born.
11:41In other words, it associates man with that.
11:44All right?
11:44With a donkey.
11:45Think about that for a moment.
11:47He comes riding into Jerusalem on what?
11:49Not a horse, but a donkey.
11:52Showing that he's going to break that man.
11:55And then he's going to bring him back up again.
11:57And he's going to save him.
11:59And thank God for that.
12:00Amen.
12:02The scripture says in Psalm 16
12:03that he would be resurrected.
12:05He said,
12:05Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,
12:09neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one
12:11to seek corruption.
12:13And then it says in the book of Acts,
12:15chapter number two,
12:16plainly,
12:17that he hath raised him,
12:19verse 30,
12:21being a prophet,
12:21knowing God had sworn with an oath to him
12:23that of the fruit of his loins,
12:25according to the flesh,
12:26he would raise up Christ
12:28to sit on his throne.
12:31He's seeing this before,
12:32spake of the resurrection of Christ,
12:34that his soul was not left in hell,
12:36neither his flesh did see corruption.
12:39Folks,
12:39I cannot emphasize to you enough tonight
12:42how important that the resurrection of Christ is.
12:47If Christ be not raised from the dead,
12:49then we're fools.
12:50We just have another religion.
12:52That's all it is.
12:54Another vain, empty religion.
12:56That's right.
12:58And what we'll do,
12:59what we'll do is carve out gods
13:02in our own likeness.
13:04And this, of course,
13:05is the height of stupidity and ignorance.
13:08He said,
13:08Do not make any image of me.
13:11You do not know what I look like.
13:13Any graven image.
13:14Don't do it.
13:15Don't do it.
13:16You are not allowed to make a graven image.
13:20Now I want you to look at how the lamb
13:21goes through the scripture.
13:23There's Abel's lamb.
13:24This is a theme.
13:25Notice how the theme goes through the Bible.
13:28And each time the lamb shows up,
13:30more is showed in scripture.
13:31More is given to us
13:33about exactly who and what the lamb is.
13:36In the book of Genesis chapter number four,
13:39the scripture says in verse three,
13:40in the process of time,
13:42Cain brought of the fruit of the ground,
13:44an offering of the Lord,
13:45but Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock
13:48and the fat thereof.
13:50Cain, the Lord rejected,
13:52but Abel, God received him and his offering.
13:56This is the first time that lamb shows up in the Bible.
13:59And here's what's happening.
14:01This is a propitiation for sin.
14:04It's the removal of anger.
14:07There's removal of anger.
14:08God had allowed the anger to be propitiated,
14:12to be settled with something else other than the man.
14:16He's showing us,
14:18I allowed you to fall,
14:20so in the process of redeeming you
14:23and bringing you back to me,
14:25you're going to learn about me in such a way
14:27that you never could any other way.
14:30That's what this is about.
14:31That's the theme.
14:32That's the message of the Bible.
14:33For example, the Lamb of Abraham, Genesis 22.
14:37He took the wood, verse number 6,
14:39and the burnt offering,
14:40laid it upon Isaac, his son.
14:42And Isaac finally figured out what was going on.
14:45Isaac spake to his father Abraham, verse 7,
14:48and said,
14:48Father,
14:50and he said,
14:51Here I am, my son.
14:52He said,
14:53Here's the fire and the wood,
14:54but where's the lamb?
14:56For a burnt offering.
14:58I'm kind of getting nervous about what's going on here.
15:01We're going to have a sacrifice and a burnt offering.
15:03Where is it?
15:05And then he said,
15:06Abraham responded,
15:07God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.
15:13This is a substitution.
15:15See how it goes?
15:16First the lamb shows up to remove the guilt,
15:19the anger rather,
15:20and then he shows up the second time in substitution.
15:24In other words,
15:25it ought to be you on this altar.
15:27You deserve to be offered up,
15:29but I'm going to let another one take your place in your stead.
15:35And this is what's called substitutionary or vicarious suffering,
15:40one for another.
15:42There's a Passover lamb we read about in Exodus chapter number 12.
15:46We just read that.
15:47What is this lamb for?
15:48This is the lamb of protection.
15:53Protection.
15:54Notice carefully.
15:54It was up to them to take a lamb,
15:56keep it up,
15:57shed its blood,
15:58and put it over the doorpost and lentil.
16:01And they had to do that.
16:02Now we don't have to do that.
16:04That's already been done.
16:05When he died on the cross,
16:07the lamb of God was offered up to the father who gave him.
16:12And his blood,
16:13my dear friend,
16:15was taken to the right hand of the father
16:17and applied there for us
16:20where God could allow us
16:22to have an approach unto him.
16:25This is what the Passover is about.
16:27It's protection.
16:29The sin offering in Leviticus chapter number four,
16:31the lamb is revealed even further.
16:33There's more to find out.
16:34Leviticus four,
16:35verse 32.
16:36And if you bring a lamb for a sin offering,
16:39they had trespass offerings.
16:41They had peace offerings.
16:42They have sin offerings.
16:43They had all these different offerings
16:45that dealt with all the different aspects
16:47of a person's life
16:49and their relationship with God.
16:51They all dovetail into one offering.
16:54For the Lord Jesus Christ is the offering
16:56for all of the offerings of the Old Testament.
17:00Amen.
17:01Him and him alone.
17:03So in Leviticus four,
17:04verse 32,
17:05he bring a lamb for a sin offering.
17:07He shall bring it a female without blemish.
17:10And he shall lay his hand upon the head
17:12of the sin offering
17:13slay it for a sin offering
17:15in the place where they kill
17:17the burnt offering.
17:18Notice now the personal identification
17:21with the lamb.
17:23Notice how carefully,
17:24notice carefully how closely
17:26we're connected with the lamb.
17:29We don't want,
17:30we don't need a bunch of theoretical,
17:32high sounding talk about Christ.
17:35We need Christ.
17:36Amen.
17:39And I warn you again,
17:41anytime you hear somebody talking
17:43about the Christ,
17:44the Christ,
17:45the Christ,
17:46it's because he doesn't know
17:48the Christ.
17:49Amen.
17:50He is the Lord Jesus Christ.
17:52A personal knowledge I have of him.
17:55And when someone criticizes that
17:58and says,
17:58well,
17:58we can have that here,
17:59it's because they don't have it here.
18:02We can know him.
18:03Paul said,
18:04I know whom I have believed.
18:06And he's persuaded to keep that
18:07which I have given to him
18:09against that day.
18:10So the sin offering is absolution.
18:13What is absolution?
18:15It is forgiveness.
18:16That's what it means.
18:18Forgiveness.
18:19And I need it.
18:19I don't know about you.
18:21Man,
18:21do I ever need to be forgiven?
18:23You say,
18:24you mean to tell me,
18:25preacher,
18:25that you haven't been perfect
18:26from Sunday to today?
18:27Nope.
18:28Sorry.
18:29I haven't.
18:30I haven't.
18:31I've heard two or three preachers
18:32who think they are.
18:34But I'm not.
18:35Why?
18:36For one thing,
18:36I'm honest.
18:39That's right.
18:40And here's something else too
18:41that I keep remembering.
18:42I keep reminding myself of this.
18:45That old dirty,
18:46low down,
18:47rotten,
18:48stinking,
18:49vile,
18:50corrupt thing
18:51that got saved in 1973
18:53still around.
18:56But there's a new man now.
18:59Hallelujah to God.
19:01Hallelujah for the new man.
19:03Amen.
19:04Amen.
19:06Hallelujah
19:06for the new man.
19:09I wouldn't stand
19:10a snowball chance in hell
19:12if it was all the old man
19:14trying to reform,
19:16trying to moralize,
19:18trying to do good,
19:19trying to change
19:20his ways,
19:21you see.
19:22No,
19:22that's not going to get it,
19:23folks.
19:24It's the new man.
19:26And that new man,
19:27of course,
19:27has been born
19:28of the Spirit of God.
19:29That's why we preach
19:30the new birth.
19:32And it's amazing tonight.
19:34How many churches
19:34have quit preaching
19:35the new birth?
19:37Well,
19:37here's why.
19:39Well,
19:39there's a lot of reasons why.
19:41But if a man
19:42is pastoring a church
19:43and he doesn't preach
19:44the new birth,
19:45you know why?
19:47Because he's not born
19:48again himself.
19:50Because if you ever
19:50have been,
19:51you want people
19:52to have that.
19:54That's freedom,
19:55that's forgiveness.
19:57And on occasion,
19:58thanks be unto God,
19:59the joy of the Lord.
20:01I'll be honest
20:02with you tonight,
20:03as honest as I know how.
20:05I'm not always
20:06on top of the mountain
20:07shouting hallelujah.
20:08I'm not.
20:09Sometimes I'm sliding
20:11down the other side,
20:11heading toward a valley,
20:12dog fighting,
20:14Satan coming after me.
20:15But then I know
20:16what it is like
20:17to be on top
20:18of that mountain though.
20:19Yes sir,
20:20buddy,
20:20I know what that's like.
20:21I know what the joy
20:22of the Lord is.
20:23You ever get hungry
20:24for the joy of the Lord?
20:26You know,
20:26I don't have to tell you
20:27what it is.
20:28You know what it is.
20:29You can't explain it.
20:31It's just,
20:32it's just,
20:32it's just,
20:33it's just something
20:33that kind of possesses you.
20:35It's,
20:35you're just something
20:36good inside.
20:38You're moving,
20:38your heart,
20:39you're happy,
20:40joyous.
20:41That's the joy
20:42of the Lord.
20:43Amen.
20:44And he's also
20:46the suffering lamb.
20:47Isaiah 53,
20:48verse number 6,
20:49and did he ever suffer?
20:51All we like sheep
20:52have gone astray.
20:53We've turned everyone
20:54to his own way.
20:55And the Lord
20:56hath laid on him
20:56the iniquity of us all.
20:58How he did that?
20:58I don't know.
20:59Only God can do that.
21:00Isaiah 53,
21:017,
21:02he was oppressed.
21:04He was afflicted.
21:05Yet he opened
21:06not his mouth,
21:07brought as a lamb
21:08to the slaughter,
21:09sheep before her shearers
21:10is dumb.
21:11So he openeth
21:12not his mouth.
21:14This is revealing
21:16further
21:16what we call
21:17expiation,
21:19making amends.
21:22You see,
21:22he did
21:23restore
21:25man's relationship
21:27with God.
21:29Christ did that.
21:30He did it.
21:31He restored
21:32man's relationship
21:33with God,
21:33but only through Christ.
21:35There's no relationship
21:36with the Lord
21:37outside him.
21:38If you don't have
21:39the Son,
21:40you can't come
21:40to the Father.
21:42You can believe
21:42in God,
21:43you can,
21:44in whatever way
21:44you find,
21:45whatever paganism
21:46you're in,
21:47you can try to
21:47worship God,
21:48talk about God,
21:49this, that,
21:50this, that,
21:50this, that,
21:50but the truth
21:51of the matter
21:52is there is
21:52no approach
21:53to the Father
21:54but by the Son.
21:56And except
21:57it come through
21:58the Son,
21:58it's not real worship.
22:00Worship comes
22:01from that one
22:02that is born
22:03of the Spirit
22:03of God
22:04and thankful.
22:05If you notice
22:06when Israel
22:07was in Egypt
22:07for 400 years,
22:09no churches,
22:10no tabernacles,
22:11none of that existed
22:13and no priesthood,
22:17none of that,
22:18no Bible,
22:19no scripture.
22:20They were there
22:20for 400 years.
22:22It was only
22:23after they had
22:24been redeemed
22:25by the blood
22:26of the Lamb,
22:27Exodus 12,
22:29and God took them
22:30out into the wilderness
22:31that he set aside
22:33Aaron and his sons
22:34as the priesthood
22:35and he took
22:37Bezalel,
22:38a gifted man
22:39who made
22:40the Ark of the Covenant
22:41and many other instruments
22:42and the tent
22:43or the tabernacle
22:44and then he gave them
22:46a place to worship.
22:47Why did they worship?
22:48Because they'd been
22:49redeemed.
22:50They wanted to worship.
22:52When God brings you
22:53out of a hell hole
22:55that like they were in,
22:56they were ready.
22:57Boy,
22:58they were ready
22:58to worship.
23:00One of the things
23:00about that,
23:01and I was studying
23:01this last night,
23:02you know that cloud
23:04by day and fire
23:05by night.
23:06If the cloud rose up
23:08and went forward,
23:09they rose up
23:10and went forward.
23:11If the cloud stayed,
23:13they stayed.
23:14But the cloud
23:15stayed over them
23:16until they built
23:17the tabernacle
23:18and the Ark
23:19of the Covenant.
23:21And once that tabernacle
23:22was built
23:23and the Ark
23:23of the Covenant,
23:25that cloud
23:26came down
23:27and went through
23:28that door
23:29and went into
23:30that Holy of Holies
23:31and it abode
23:32right over the top
23:33of that Ark
23:33of the Covenant.
23:35Man!
23:36And it was so bright,
23:37the glory of God,
23:39that Moses,
23:40priests,
23:40no one could walk
23:41into that place.
23:43It would literally
23:43blind them
23:44with His glory.
23:46That's something,
23:47isn't it?
23:47What He's doing,
23:48of course,
23:48is progressively
23:49showing them
23:50this is a holy place.
23:54I put my glory
23:56is here,
23:56my name is here,
23:57don't come in here
23:58playing games.
24:00And you know
24:00what happened
24:00to Aaron's two sons,
24:01don't you?
24:02What happened to them?
24:02You all know.
24:04He's two sons,
24:06Nadab and Abihu.
24:06What happened to them?
24:08They took what?
24:11I know,
24:12but what did they do
24:12to cause that?
24:15Strange fire.
24:16Fire that should have
24:17come from the
24:18brazen altar
24:18because that's where
24:20the fire came from.
24:22The brazen altar,
24:23in other words,
24:23a sacrifice had to be
24:25made first
24:25at the brazen altar.
24:27That fire was taken
24:28into the holy place.
24:30It could light
24:31the candlestick.
24:32See,
24:32the seven golden
24:33candlesticks,
24:34which of course
24:35is approaching God
24:36closer.
24:38And they took
24:39strange fire.
24:40They didn't take it
24:41off of the brazen altar
24:42and what happened?
24:42Like you said
24:43a moment ago,
24:44fire came out.
24:46It's sad too
24:47because Aaron lost
24:48his two sons there.
24:50Yeah,
24:50Nadab and Abihu,
24:51they were just gone.
24:52Just,
24:53man,
24:54just gone.
24:54What he was doing
24:56though was preparing
24:57them to begin
24:59to understand,
25:00yes,
25:00I've redeemed you,
25:01yes,
25:01you have a place
25:02to worship,
25:03but I am holy,
25:05holy,
25:05holy,
25:06the Lord God
25:07almighty.
25:08Amen.
25:10Amen.
25:11John 1,
25:1229,
25:12the Lamb of God,
25:14that John,
25:15the Baptist,
25:15John the baptizer,
25:17he said the next,
25:18verse number 29,
25:19John 1,
25:19the next day John
25:20seeth Jesus
25:21coming unto him
25:22and saith behold
25:23the Lamb of God
25:24which taketh away
25:26the sin of the world.
25:29That's a strong statement.
25:32What is this?
25:33This is the Lamb of God
25:34removing now,
25:36not just forgiving,
25:37you know,
25:38absolution,
25:39but now removing
25:41the sin of the world.
25:44That in itself
25:45is a powerful thing
25:46and you've heard me
25:47many times
25:48kind of move around
25:50and talk about it
25:51and my concept of it
25:53and every time
25:54I go back and study it
25:55and look at it
25:55a little deeper
25:56and do some more
25:56praying over it,
25:58God has to show you
26:00just exactly
26:01what he's talking about
26:03when he says
26:04the sin of the world.
26:06For example,
26:07just give you,
26:07throw it out,
26:08think about it,
26:09I'm not saying
26:09it's the answer to anything,
26:11but think about it.
26:12The Lamb of God
26:13that taketh away
26:14the sin of unbelief.
26:16Think about that.
26:18Would that be one of them?
26:19Or the Lamb of God
26:21that taketh away
26:22the unpardonable sin.
26:24Or the Lamb of God
26:25that taketh away
26:26sinning away
26:27your day of grace.
26:28Or the Lamb of God
26:29that taketh away
26:30the rebellion of mankind.
26:32See what happens here?
26:34Or the Lamb of God
26:35that taketh away
26:36the very essence
26:37of sin itself
26:38and that the time
26:40will come
26:41when we are in the presence
26:42of God
26:42that sin
26:43will no longer exist.
26:46I mean,
26:47see how it goes?
26:47And I'm not saying
26:49I necessarily have
26:50the answer to it,
26:51but that's the kind of things
26:52you need to think about,
26:53right?
26:54He taketh away
26:55the sin of the world.
26:56The Bible said
26:56God was in Christ
26:57reconciling the world
26:58to Himself
26:59without imputing
27:00their trespasses
27:00unto them
27:01and hath committed to us
27:03the ministry
27:04of reconciliation.
27:05Be ye reconciled to God.
27:06He who hath made
27:07Him
27:08to be sin
27:09for us
27:11that we might be made
27:13the righteousness
27:13of God in Him.
27:14That's heavy stuff now,
27:17you know.
27:18And I'm not saying
27:19I necessarily
27:20fully comprehend
27:21all that's going on
27:22because of the possibilities
27:23that can continue
27:24to open up to your soul.
27:27Not imputing,
27:28not computing,
27:29not charging
27:29their trespasses.
27:33That's quite a thought.
27:35For one thing,
27:36that's why it is so simple
27:38for you to be forgiven.
27:40So simple.
27:41Because every aspect
27:43of the power
27:44and penalty
27:44and damnation
27:46and perversion
27:47and guilt of sin
27:48was carried away
27:50in our Lord Jesus Christ.
27:52Therefore,
27:53you don't have to do something,
27:54you don't have to pay anything
27:56to be forgiven.
27:58You just accept
27:59what He did.
28:01Because He is
28:02the forgiveness of sin.
28:04Amen.
28:05And of course,
28:06it goes further than that,
28:08but that's good enough
28:08for the time being
28:09to get us through,
28:10right?
28:10The Ethiopian eunuch
28:12had a reading
28:13about the Lamb
28:14in Acts 8, verse 32.
28:17Notice now
28:18how it begins
28:18to develop further.
28:21Acts 8, 32.
28:22The place of the Scripture,
28:23Acts 8, 32,
28:24which he read was this.
28:27He was led
28:27as a sheep to slaughter
28:28and like a lamb
28:30dumb before his shearer
28:31so opened
28:32and he not his mouth.
28:34Now, you know,
28:35I don't know about you,
28:36but what's he reading?
28:38He's reading Isaiah,
28:40right?
28:42All right.
28:43He's reading the same Isaiah
28:44you've got in your hands.
28:46This was 2,000 years ago.
28:49Think about that.
28:51This Ethiopian eunuch,
28:522,000 years ago,
28:53was reading a book
28:54at that time,
28:54about 700 years old.
28:56He was reading that book.
28:58Now, here we are,
28:592,000 years later,
29:00we've got the same book
29:01that he was reading.
29:03Isn't that remarkable?
29:042,000 years ago
29:08when Christ died on the cross,
29:10they talked about
29:10people of olden times.
29:14In other words,
29:15how long before Christ
29:16did Abraham live?
29:21There you are.
29:221,900 years
29:25before Christ.
29:27All right.
29:28Add a century to it
29:29and what have you got?
29:312,000 years.
29:33Well, look at us.
29:33We go back 2,000 years
29:35and we're back
29:36at the time of Christ.
29:37For them,
29:39if they went back
29:391,900 years,
29:41where would they be?
29:43Abraham.
29:46Absolutely.
29:47That's quite a thing.
29:48See the vast expanse
29:51of time
29:51that the Bible covers?
29:53These are the kind of things
29:54you need to think about.
29:56The Ethiopian eunuch, though,
29:58discovered something here
30:00about the lamb
30:01written in a book
30:02700 years old.
30:03Do you know what it was?
30:04Individual salvation.
30:07He said,
30:07I believe that Jesus Christ
30:08is the Son of God.
30:11Well, here's what hindreth me
30:14to be baptized
30:15and put him under.
30:17Amen.
30:18Amen.
30:19Individual salvation.
30:211 Peter 1, verse 18
30:23takes up the theme
30:24takes up the theme
30:24of the book of Exodus.
30:261 Peter 1, verse 18,
30:28Forasmuch as you know
30:28that you are not redeemed
30:30with corruptible things
30:31of silver and gold
30:32from your vain conversation
30:33received by tradition
30:34from your fathers,
30:36but with the precious blood
30:37of Christ
30:38as of a lamb
30:40without blemish
30:40and without spot.
30:41So if he's redeemed me,
30:43how many,
30:44what do they call them
30:47back when I was a kid?
30:47We used to use them
30:48all the time.
30:50You'd take something
30:50and get pawn shop.
30:51Pawn shop.
30:52How many's ever heard
30:53of pawn shop?
30:54They were big
30:55when I was little.
30:57Nobody had any money
30:57and if they wanted
30:58to do something,
30:58they'd pawn whatever they had
31:00and sometimes
31:01they wouldn't go back
31:02and get it
31:03and you could go
31:04into a pawn shop then,
31:05boy, you could find anything.
31:08Well, so what did you do
31:08when you went back
31:09to get it?
31:10You redeemed it.
31:12That's what you did.
31:13You bought it back.
31:14You redeemed it.
31:15Now it becomes yours again.
31:17Well, God made us.
31:20We were sold under sin
31:22and then Christ came
31:24and bought us back.
31:26Amen.
31:27And he owns me
31:29lock, stock, and barrel
31:30and I'm happy about it.
31:33Been redeemed.
31:35Amen.
31:36Amen.
31:36He bought me
31:37and he paid for me
31:39and he paid a supreme price.
31:41So the lamb, therefore,
31:43redeems.
31:45In Revelation chapter number 5,
31:48verse 12, 12 through 14,
31:51the scripture talks about
31:52the worthy is the lamb
31:55that was slain
31:56to receive honor, power,
32:01riches, wisdom, strength,
32:03glory and blessing
32:04and every creature
32:05which is in heaven
32:06and on the earth
32:07and under the earth
32:08and such as are
32:09in the sea
32:10and all that are in them
32:12heard I saying,
32:13blessing and honor
32:14and glory and power
32:15be unto him
32:15that sitteth upon the throne
32:16and unto the lamb
32:18forever and ever
32:19and the four beasts,
32:21these are cherubim,
32:22said amen.
32:24That's a Hebrew word.
32:25Lord, it means with full assurance,
32:28so be it,
32:28let it be,
32:30amen.
32:30And the four
32:33and twenty elders
32:33fell down
32:34and worshiped him
32:35that liveth forever
32:36and ever.
32:38We wind up
32:39the last book
32:40of the Bible
32:40starting from
32:43the first book
32:44of the Bible
32:44about the lamb.
32:46Do you realize
32:47that the book
32:48of Revelation
32:48has more to say
32:49about the lamb
32:50of God
32:51than any person
32:52of the Trinity?
32:54It's talking about
32:55the Lord Jesus
32:55but he's called
32:56the lamb of God.
32:59In plain words,
33:00the apocalypse,
33:00the last book
33:01of the Bible
33:01finishes up
33:02showing you
33:03how that the lamb
33:04of God
33:05is so exalted
33:06in the Trinity
33:07into the future
33:08and for the glory
33:10that shall be revealed.
33:12It will be revealed
33:13through the lamb
33:14of God,
33:16our Lord Jesus Christ.
33:18I don't know
33:18what we're going to see.
33:20I know we'll see him
33:21as he is.
33:22It doth not yet appear
33:23what we shall be
33:24but we know
33:25that when he appears
33:27we shall be like him
33:29for we shall see him
33:31as he is.
33:32I do not know
33:33exactly what
33:34a glorified body
33:35is going to look like.
33:36I'll guarantee you
33:37one thing tonight.
33:38I don't care
33:39what it looks like.
33:40It's going to look better
33:41than this thing
33:41I'm in right now.
33:43No doubt about that
33:44but we will have
33:45a body,
33:47a glorified body.
33:48Now how many of you
33:48would like to drag
33:49the thing you're in
33:50right now
33:50into eternity
33:51and spend
33:52a thousand years
33:53in it?
33:54I mean I'd hate
33:55to think of all
33:56the pills I'd have
33:56to take in a thousand
33:57years.
33:58Doctor's appointments
33:59and all the rest
34:01of it.
34:01No, I'll have a body
34:02likened to his
34:03glorious body.
34:04Amen.
34:05Paul said in
34:071 Corinthians 15
34:07he said thou fool.
34:09He did.
34:10He said not that
34:11which you sow
34:12he said is raised.
34:14He said God
34:15giveth a new body.
34:17Yes, he said
34:18there are terrestrial
34:19bodies from the
34:20Latin terra
34:21earth
34:22and there are
34:23celestial bodies
34:24from the heavens
34:25or the stars
34:26and that's what's
34:28awaiting me.
34:29Yes, we know
34:30if the earthly
34:31house of this
34:31tabernacle were
34:32dissolved
34:32and it's going to
34:33be dissolved.
34:35We have a building
34:35of God
34:36and a house
34:36not made with
34:37hands
34:37eternal
34:37in the heavens.
34:40Amen.
34:42Amen.
34:42A body
34:44likened to his
34:45glorious body.
34:47I'm telling you
34:47the truth
34:48I get so tired
34:49sometimes
34:50I'm wore out.
34:51As my grandfather
34:52used to say
34:53I'm give out.
34:54I sit down
34:55and I rest a while
34:56and get up
34:56and keep on going.
34:58So all of you
34:59young people
35:00running off to the
35:01gym and you're
35:01exercising and
35:02you're running
35:02and you're writing
35:03and you're having
35:04a big time
35:04enjoy it.
35:09Amen.
35:10Enjoy it.
35:11I'm all for it.
35:12I've run all
35:13over this place

35:15a bicycle

35:2022 miles
35:22around
35:22and I mean
35:24we went at it
35:26hard
35:26and enjoyed it.
35:28Now that's all
35:28I can do
35:29to walk out
35:29the back door
35:30and get in the car.
35:33It just kind of
35:33sneaks up on you.
35:35Amen.
