00:26Not so much in Ramsey's own individual performance,
00:30just those heights for Miami.
00:32They will be exploring a trade for Jalen Ramsey.
00:35No trade conversation right now for Tyreek Hill.
00:39Scott, you are a Dolphins fan.
00:41You're Finns team, kind of in this weird limbo area
00:44between being mediocre and a playoff contender of sorts entering 2025.
00:51What do you make of the path moving forward this offseason for Miami?
00:55Yeah, it's not a good sign, Ben.
00:57First off, they're not going to be able to trade him.
00:59The dude's making $25 million next year.
01:01No one's picking that up.
01:03And even if they were, even if there was some team crazy enough, Ben, to pick up that contract,
01:08that would be a $49 million-plus cap hit for the Dolphins.
01:13I mean, you talk about, it's not so much, okay, we want to trade a player away.
01:17That happens in the offseason.
01:19It's a bad sign.
01:20You know, over the last couple of seasons, the Dolphins were like a destination.
01:24That was the place to go.
01:25You know, teams that really, really want to win, what do they do, right?
01:28They pick up veteran players like a Jalen Ramsey, sacrifice a fourth or fifth-round draft choice
01:32because they want to win.
01:34Now, it's like everyone's getting out of town.
01:36You know, Tyreek Hill didn't end up getting traded, but that was the first domino.
01:40He announced, you know, months ago that he wanted out, changed his mind, whatever.
01:43And now it's like the Dolphins are just cleaning house, showing the world that they're willing to rebuild
01:48and not hold on to these veteran players.
01:50And now no one wants to sign with the Dolphins.
01:52You know, there was a point, like I said, at time where it was like, okay, we got Boy Wonder as their head coach.
01:56We got Tua.
01:57We got Tyreek Hill.
01:58Waddle.
01:58Everyone wanted to go there.
02:00Let's go get some veteran players.
02:01They did.
02:02And it bombed out.
02:04So, them trying to trade Jalen Ramsey, again, they're not going to be able to.
02:08But it's just a bad sign that the Dolphins are going in the wrong direction.

02:14We'll see what the market is if there is one out there for the 30-year-old corner in Jalen Ramsey.
02:20A lot of financial investment, of course, into Ramsey as well.
02:24Throughout his nine-year NFL career, seven times a Pro Bowler, not last year in 2024,
02:29but his first year in South Florida in 2023.
02:32A three-time AP first-team All-Pro performer, but not during his days with the Dolphins.
02:38It was kind of a sign of the times, though.
02:40When you added a guy like Jalen Ramsey, you were bolstering that veteran experience
02:44to try to push you over the hump, to be a true conference contender, to win a division.
02:50Scott, frankly, to win a playoff game, something the Finns have failed to do since the year 2000.
02:56Now, going on 25 seasons since Miami last won a playoff game.
