00:26Well, dude, first of all, thank you for being here.
00:28We are so excited to see you on stage.
00:31Well, it's my pleasure to be here.
00:33You know, I grew up not far from here as a child, so it feels like coming home a little bit.
00:39Okay, very nice.
00:39Yeah, for sure.
00:40Yeah, so Bradenton, you said when you were coming over here today, driving across, you're like,
00:45well, I've made this trip many times.
00:46I've made the trip many times to the Tampa airport so that I could fly to Memphis or something to go home.
00:54But, yeah, a lot of great memories here.
00:56I've watched ball games at, shoot, the Tropicana Field and back when the Bucs were still the Bucsicles and dressing.
01:07And I've watched a bunch of Lightning games, too, growing up.
01:10Hockey was so good.
01:11I played more hockey than anything growing up around here, oddly enough.
01:15So have you got to party with the Stanley Cup?
01:17Because, you know, we've won two times in a row now.
01:19I haven't gotten to party with the Stanley Cup, but I have gotten to party with people who have won the Stanley Cup.
01:25That's better.
01:25And that is quite the experience.
01:30And I think we might get to do some more of that today.
01:33And I'm just going to act like it's not Sunday.
01:35Okay.
01:35Because, honestly, ever since we had to take a year off of life, I treat every day like it's Friday.
01:40Yeah.
01:41I love that.
01:42No chill whatsoever.
01:43Very cool, man.
01:44Well, listen, you have absolutely put out some amazing songs.
01:47Prayed for You being one that really jumped out.
01:50Where was an aha moment for you where you said, oh, my gosh, I'm really going to do this.
01:54I feel like people are digging what I'm putting out.
01:56And I see this career really going somewhere.
01:59You know, it's funny that you say that.
02:02I was back.
02:03I was kind of back here-ish, like Longboat Key.
02:07I saw some family there, right?
02:09And this was why I was still touring around and playing music.
02:13And I was sitting there on a pier.
02:15And I was watching, you know, kind of pelicans fly in.
02:18And I was watching, you know, these boats go by.
02:22And I was thinking to myself, man, all of these things out here that are like these ships and everything,
02:27everything's moving, but I felt like I didn't feel like any, like the dolphins or anything.
02:31I felt like, I don't know, like the oysters or the barnacles that were on the, like, pillars of the pier there.
02:38I felt like I couldn't get anything going.
02:40I was just letting life happen to me.
02:42And then, man, I finally made the move to Nashville and wrote some songs and prayed for you being one of them.
02:48And it kind of changed my life.
02:50And that was just, I just remember that kind of dock of the bay moment, if you will.
02:54I love that.
02:55Man, I feel like that word might have been stuck in there somewhere.
02:59And that was really good, by the way.
