00:00With the final season at Joe Louis Arena underway, we wanted to hear your favorite memories of the Joe
00:04as we approach a new beginning at Little Caesars Arena.
00:08So my favorite memory of the Joe is in 2008, being here for the conference finals
00:13and watching Detroit score in overtime to beat the Blackhawks in five
00:17and make their way to the Stanley Cup finals.
00:19That was just exciting seeing the crowd erupt.
00:22It's the largest I've ever seen in this building. It was amazing.
00:24One of my favorite memories at the Joe is probably Steve Ironsman's jersey retirement.
00:31My favorite memory at the Joe was 1999, the Millennial game, where they won in overtime 5-4.
00:38One of my favorite memories at the Joe was the first time that I brought the kids to the Joe.
00:43This is all they've known. This is where they grew up. This is where they learned happily.
00:48One of my favorite memories at the Joe was my first game. It was a broken stick overtime win.
00:54For the Wings.
00:55Our favorite memory is his first game when the Red Wings beat the Blackhawks two years ago.
00:59My favorite memory at the Joe was my first Wings game in March 2003.
01:04We saw the Wings play Phoenix. Phoenix.
01:08First time ever seeing Dominic Hasek on the ice was by far one of the greatest moments of my life.
01:13One of my favorite memories at the Joe was four or five years ago,
01:17we came this time of the year at the beginning of the season for the first home game
01:21and the Tigers were still playing baseball, so we were able to watch the Tigers on the big screen
01:25while our guys were warming up down on the ice.
01:27One of my favorite memories at the Joe is when my two grandchildren had a chance to play a little game here.
01:34Chloe with the Troy Sting and Cooper with the Mount Women's Wolves.
01:39One of my favorite memories at the Joe is reconnecting with my BFF.
01:46My favorite season at the Joe Lewis Arena was 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs.
01:52I was here and what an incredible series that was.
01:57And to see the Game 7 breaker to go into the finals there.
02:00It was really good stuff, man, being here.
02:02One of my favorite memories at the Joe Lewis was this past February on Valentine's Day
02:10when I took my son to his very first game.
02:12He was four months old, had no idea what was going on.
02:16He cried every time the sire went off.
02:18But putting him up to the glass and observing what was going on
02:22and actually had a puck handed to him too at four months old,
02:25it's definitely one of my favorite memories.
02:26Getting the opportunity to volunteer to help set up for the 5K
02:29and then the chance to spend the night at the Joe before running in it.
02:33One of my favorite memories at Joe Lewis Arena would be
02:36when I came here for my first hockey game when I was 7 years old against San Jose.
02:41And a San Jose fan got mad and threw a big giant thing of popcorn on me.
02:45And I fell in love with the sport of hockey ever since.
02:48Dot Duke became my favorite player that day.
02:50It was just a great time.
02:52My favorite memory at the Joe was when the Red Wings shut out the Chicago Blackhawks in the playoffs.
02:57My favorite memory at the Joe is getting the opportunity to meet Kirk Maltby outside after the game.
03:03I talked to him for about a half hour and now we're good friends.
