Delhi, (India) April 17, 2025 [ANI]: Taking note of the deeply troubling incident in West Bengal, Chairperson of NCW, Vijaya Rahatkar, took suo moto cognizance on April 16. She has also constituted an Inquiry Committee to investigate the violence. This follows reports of several women enduring horrific molestation during communal unrest in Murshidabad. She will visit the violence hit site in Murshidabad on April 18. During her visit, she will also visit Malda and meet the displaced women.
