00:00Jaden Abraham was a larger-than-life character and the spark of every party.
00:07Fighting fit, the 31-year-old tradie was a runner and amateur boxer.
00:14The biggest thing is he just always made you laugh.
00:18He squeezed in 31 years more than what most people would in their whole lifetime.
00:23One year ago he came off his e-bike in Byron Bay suffering a catastrophic brain injury.
00:29His family didn't leave his hospital bed for four days when Jaden's life support was finally turned off.
00:35You're afraid to go down to the food court or to go off premises in case you're needed.
00:41During their stay in hospital a friend dropped off a laundry basket full of essential supplies.
00:46That small gesture had a lasting impact and prompted them to start a charity, Beautiful Crazy,

00:56They include water, a blanket, a toothbrush, pain relief medication and snacks.

01:10And you're actually making or trying to make end-of-life decisions and you just feel terrible.
01:17Each of these bags cost about $60 to make. They're currently delivered to six hospitals, but the goal is to one day provide them to every major ICU in the country.
01:27To make that possible, next week Ross Abraham is embarking on an off-road mountain bike ride from Perth to Byron Bay to raise enough money for 4,300 bags.
01:38So the goal is that we raise one bag for every kilometre which equals one family.
01:43He hopes the journey will capture the country's attention and make his son proud.
