00:00And also, Jono, we just heard there a little bit earlier from the UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy.
00:06He's been speaking, but what exactly are they promising?
00:09So £12.9 million is the, sorry, £120 million is the initial give up from the UK government
00:16in order to fund some of the humanitarian efforts which are taking place right there now.
00:21This is an addition to another £113 million that was given last November.
00:26So this is actually the second instalment of funding.
00:28But we did not hear much about the first round of funds, so to speak.
00:32Now, it does pale in comparison when you take it towards what they've given towards Ukraine,
00:36which is in the region of £12.9 billion.
00:39So it is a small amount.
00:41But that small amount, unfortunately, is not going to go a very long way.
00:44About 600,000 people likely to benefit from this.
00:48That's 600,000 people who are currently in desperate need of food,
00:51in desperate need of water and medical assistance as well.
00:53So that's in the next three months that the government of the UK have promised and pledged to help those people.
00:58However, it is indeed just a tiny blip in what is required to try and assist the people of Sudan.
