00:00The swarm of commuters seeking tickets in provincial bus terminals on Lenten Wednesday and Holy Thursday each year never subsides.

00:08There is never a shortage of 11th hour or last minute passengers who show up there hoping for a chance passenger seat opens or extra buses will be deployed.

00:21Charms, as the night depends, more and more passengers coming over at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchanger PITX just to catch the last trip of the bus tonight.

00:37And Charms, I was also able to talk some of the passengers here and I asked them what are they going to do inside the bus during the long trip.

00:47And some of them are saying that they are going to sleep and some of them are also saying that they are going to take advantage of the entertainment given up by the television inside the bus just to overcome their boredom.

01:04Mary, 19, will be traveling to Occidental Mundoro and to Puerto Princesa.

01:11She says it will be a long ride because apart from land travel, she will also be traveling by sea.

01:18To ease the boredom, she will just watch videos on her cell phone.

01:23Ang usual na mga ginagawa ko during rides is either natutulog or nagdadownload mo ko ng mga movies na pwede makanoood during my ride mo, especially if it's a long trip.

01:33If her cell phone runs out of battery charge, one of her options is to read books, her last choice, watching television on the bus.

01:43For me naman, nakakatulong siguro yung makais na boredom yung kakaroon ng television sa mga bus.

01:49Kasi especially kung wala ka ng choice na magawa ang puerlo, ba't na yung phone mo, ganyan, or parang kung paano din siya, libangan.

01:57Recently, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board or MTRCB has conducted on-the-spot inspection and information drive in Metro Manila bus terminals to ensure compliance with content regulation in public transportations.

02:15MTRCB has inspected the bus terminal at EDSA Araneta-Cubao in Quezon City, Buandia, Manila, and the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange or PITX.

02:26In a statement, MTRCB Chair, President, and CEO Lala Soto Antonio says that it is the responsibility of the board to make sure the movies being shown inside the bus are appropriate to all passengers.

02:40According to MTRCB, no violation found during the inspections, but commuters are advised to report any violation through its official social media channels and through its email.

02:53Meanwhile, PITX management says that part of its regulations during holidays is to ensure that movies or contents being shown inside the bus should be family and child-friendly shows.

03:06Jason Salvador's spokesperson at the PITX says bus companies are reminded about it and the consequences they could face if violations are committed.

03:16Aware naman sila kung ano yung mga dapat at pwede lang nilang ipalabas. So ini-screen din mabuto yan. From time to time may nag-checheck niya kung ano yung mga contents na pinapalabas nila.

03:25Charms, the PITX has monitored over 190,000 foot traffic and since PITX is expecting a surge of passengers today, they stepped up the effort for helping the passengers inside the terminal.

03:44And even the security, they deployed over 100 police personnel inside the terminal just to secure the safety of the passenger. Charms?
