00:00Good afternoon, my name is Phil Hewitt, group arts editor at Sussex Newspapers.
00:05Lovely to speak again to Bella Rich.
00:07Now, Bella, you are so hooked on horror movies, you keep appearing in them.
00:12The latest is St. Patrick's Day Massacre, which was filmed in Dublin, wasn't it?
00:17Or set in Dublin, at least.
00:19It's set in Dublin.
00:20We actually shot it up north.
00:23And we used some really cool locations and a lot of it was actually shot in a studio.
00:30So a lot of what you see isn't real location wise.
00:34Yeah, very, very clever on the art department.
00:36As for the film, I guess so much of it is in the title, the St. Patrick's Day Massacre.
00:41Set the scene then, what's happening?
00:44So St. Patrick's Day Massacre is about a group of friends who go on a last trip to Dublin
00:50and they meet a bit of a shady guy and they learn about the, oh gosh, the backstory of Darrow O'Donoghue.
00:59And everything just goes terribly wrong from there.
01:03And that backstory is the massacre then that happened some years before?
01:07Yes, yes.
01:09But it's not over, clearly.
01:12No.
01:13And you were describing this as a fun horror.
01:16How can horror be fun?
01:18How does that work?
01:19I think horror can be an enjoyable experience.
01:23So you get the odd scares, but you also get hooked on the characters.
01:27I think as we were discussing earlier that horror has all these kind of different genres
01:32within its genres and these different areas.
01:35And ones like this are kind of more aimed for like your 15 to like mid 20 year olds.
01:40And it's, I wouldn't say, I guess like an introductory horror.
01:44So there's nothing in there that's probably going to make you not sleep at night,
01:48but you're still going to enjoy it.
01:49And it's still going to give you the jumps and you're still going to get the cool practical effects.
01:53And it's just a really fun story.
01:56It sounds great.
01:57And your character, you're slightly on the edge of this group of friends, aren't you, for reasons?
02:02Yes.
02:02So my character is going through a really tough time and all the other friends have stuff
02:09they want to do in the future and she just doesn't know where she's at or what she wants.
02:14And that shows through the film, but she does start to kind of come out of her shell
02:17and she does say what she wants to say, which is really nice for her.
02:22It doesn't sound that things are going to get terribly much easier for her, are they?
02:26No, it's also a really tough time for this character and the rest as well.
02:31Fantastic.
02:32So the film is Patrick's Day Massacre.
02:35Is it in Asda in the UK?
02:36Is it in HMV in the UK?
02:38And it's also on streaming platforms, isn't it?
02:42Yeah, so you can stream it on Sky.
02:46Yeah, so I think it's on Amazon Prime.
02:48It's on Sky TV at the moment.
02:50I think it's on Now TV as well.
02:54And I think that is it for our UK streaming platforms.
02:58It's one of the pretty standard ones.
02:59And it's all in America too.
03:03Fantastic.
03:04Yeah, so in Target, Walmart, you can buy it out there and then it's on Vimeo, Tubi.
03:12They have so many.
03:14Perfect.
03:14Well, congratulations on the film.
