00:00Market report today for the annual powerhouse live-weight wiener sale.
00:04Penned just over 4,000 calves, sold on a cents per kilo basis.
00:10Tom, really good line-up of Angus steer calves. How do they sell into that?
00:14Yeah, absolutely. Very strong on the Angus steer front.
00:17A lot of weight in the calves. A lot of calves over the 300 kilo mark.
00:22The heavier end of the calves, sort of getting close to 400 kilos.
00:27Some 360 to 70 kilo calves made up to $4.70 odd.
00:33A lot of the calves made, I guess, from $4.50 to $4.80 a kilo.
00:38We had a nice run of EU steers, just under the 300 kilo mark, making close to the $5.
00:45But, yeah, long and all, very, very strong and a lot of weight in the black calf.
00:49What was a mini? Penned's a great cow.
00:51I don't know if you like 100 kilos or something like that.
00:53Yeah, credit to the vendors and how they presented them in today.
00:56On the Euro front, a lot of really good Charolais cost calves.
01:02They weighed, you know, from 300 to 400 kilos.
01:06The 400 kilo calves were making late $3.00.
01:09So $3.90, $94.05.
01:11Then once you got back down into the 300 to 350 kilos, they were making that $4.20 to $4.30.
01:22Angus heifers.
01:24Angus heifers.
01:25Once again, a lot of weight in the heifers.
01:27A lot of the heifers making from, you know, I guess $3.40 up to $3.80 on some of the better Angus carbs,
01:36sort of just over that 300 kilo mark.
01:38But I would say very strong.
01:41Once again, they probably averaged somewhere around $3.60 mark.
01:44Yep.
01:45And then just the Euro portion of the heifers.
01:50Yeah, similar to the Angus heifers really.
01:52They made from $3.50 to $3.80.
01:56Most sales around $3.65 to $3.75.
01:59But a really good run at Euro heifers as well.
02:03But all in all, the cattle went good, strong buying support out of Queensland.
02:11You know, Roma, Taroom, Milmeron in that area.
02:16And then a lot of good local support as well.
02:19I've never got oak crops sown.
02:21And it's just another full of rain away.
02:22And hopefully we've got cattle going to own.
02:24So I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our vendors for presenting the cattle they did today.
02:31And also the buyers that come back, the repeat buyers, Tom, that want to come back and buy these cars.
02:37So thank you.
