00:00Okay, what are you doing to protect my daughter's Medicaid, please?
00:05There's families out here that are terrified, absolutely terrified,
00:10and I would just love to know your plan.
00:13Any one of you.
00:15Before you answer, the next question is from Rebecca Wills,
00:20and I'll take this.
00:22Just raise your hand and we'll take this to you.
00:25All right, go ahead.
00:30I guess I could jump in first.
00:34What is being proposed right now through the budget resolution
00:38is tragically the largest proposed cut to Medicaid in the program's history,
00:44and it will result in tens of millions of Americans losing their coverage,
00:50losing the ability to see their primary care physician.
00:54We know it will inevitably result in many health care facilities shutting down,
00:59particularly in rural communities across America.
01:03Here in Arizona, at a minimum, over half a million of our fellow Arizonans
01:08would lose health care coverage.
01:10First thing we've got to do, that's devastating information, obviously.
01:14First thing, we've got to let America know this is happening.
01:16America has to believe that this is real.
01:19It is what exactly is going across Congress right now.
01:24And no matter how many times moderate Republicans like to go on television and say,
01:29we're not voting on Medicaid cuts, hell yeah you are.
01:33That's exactly what we did vote on just this past week with the budget resolution.
01:38And as I mentioned, it's so clear in order to get the extreme right-wingers to vote for the budget resolution,
01:49there was a specific memo from the White House committing that there was going to be these massive Medicaid cuts.
01:55We have to make this real for the American people.
01:58And members of Congress, including the representative from this very area, need to understand
02:02that if they vote to cut off health care for over 100,000 Arizona 06 residents,
02:11you ain't winning your next election.
02:13You're going down.
02:13And we know that because I got elected in the class of 2018 where we were the majority makers.
02:28And the number one reason that I was elected and over 40 of my colleagues were elected to give us a large majority at the time
02:35is because we fought for the program that Gaby Giffords risked her political career for,
02:41and that was the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare.
02:44That was the number one issue.
02:46So this ain't hypothetical.
02:50So they need to be more afraid of the people of the district knowing that if they lose their health care,
02:56you're going down rather than threats and bullying from Donald Trump.
03:01We need to change that political calculation.
03:02And when we do, not if we do, when we do, these Republicans are going to get a backbone
03:09and stand up to Trump and protect this most important health care program.
03:19And we think one of the best things that you can do is make sure that you're submitting your concerns
03:24to your representative in Congress.
03:28They have to have a form, email, you can call.
03:33It's important that you voice your concern to your elected representative.
03:36And we think one of the best things that you can do is make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're going to make sure that you're
