00:00Juan Soto, just his second home run as a New York Met yesterday as the Mets win a baseball game 5-1,
00:08getting the better of the Minnesota Twins, who are off to a terrible start at a 5-12 beginning this year.
00:14Soto's first home run for the Amazons since the opening weekend of this MLB season.
00:20Yeah, by the way, Soto's always going to be a good player. We get that.
00:23And he does a lot more things than just, like, hit home runs.
00:25The guy's always on base. But you know what? I love this, like, the protection in the lineup now.
00:29Like, Pete Alonso was just striking out left and right last year.
00:31Like, hey, what's he going to hit this year, 220? He's hitting 345.
00:34Looks like a completely different player because of the protection that he's getting out of Juan Soto.
00:39What a fantastic move because you pay all of that money and then you expect your team to get better,
00:43not because Juan Soto's a great player, but the protection that he adds in the lineup
00:46where he's always on base or making the pitcher work in front of him.
00:50And Pete Alonso, he's reaping a lot of benefits right now.
00:52I like that Lindor, Soto, and Alonso.
00:54As long as Lindor is hitting 220, can step his game up to what we thought he could be for the Mets,
00:59that's a really good 1-2-3 punch.
01:00I like it.
