Comedian Vir Das on Tuesday, April 15, criticised Air India over alleged poor flying experience despite paying INR 50,000 for the seat. Das was flying to Delhi with his wife who had a fracture in one of her legs. In his post on X, Das alleged that his wife didn't get a wheelchair from Air India even after pre-booking the service. The comedian further alleged that they got a broken table, broken leg rests and his wife's seat was stuck in a reclined position. He also claimed that Air India staffers did not help his wife despite repeated requests. Reacting to his now-viral post, Air India said they "understand & empathize" with his experience, adding that they were getting it checked "on priority".
