00:30Holy Week is a time of reflection, contemplation and respect for the victims.
00:35It is imperative that, as citizens, we understand the importance of these restrictions.
00:40This is not simply about limiting festivities or mobilizations, but about honoring the memory
00:45of those who are no longer with us and protecting those who may still be affected by recklessness.
00:51Traditionally, Holy Week has also been a period marked by preventable tragedies.
00:57Traffic accidents, alcohol poisoning and behaviors that contradict the true meaning of this religious
01:03commemoration.
01:05The announced prohibitions, ranging from restrictions on heavy vehicles to the closure of beach resorts
01:10and the ban on large parties, are not capricious.
01:14They respond to the need to preserve lives, to prevent more families from grieving irreparable
01:19losses.
01:20It is time to prioritize safety, order and, above all, solidarity with those who today
01:26bear immense pain.
01:28This is not a Holy Week like any other.
01:30The country is in mourning and that mourning must be respected.
01:34This is not a time for unbridled abandon, but rather for prayer, support for those affected
01:38and collective awareness.
01:40We invite all Dominicans to join in the general recollection.
01:43May these days be days of true reflection, family reunion and respect for life.
01:50Holy Week calls us to silence, pause and faith.
01:54Let's not turn it into another statistic of tragedies for Listin Diario, voice over and translation
