दिल्ली: 13,500 करोड़ रुपए के पीएनबी बैंक के घोटाले में आरोपी भगोड़े मेहुल चौकसी को बेल्जियम में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। पीएनबी घोटाले के व्हिसलब्लोअर हरिप्रसाद एसवी ने बेल्जियम में मेहुल चोकसी की गिरफ्तारी पर कहा, "यह बहुत अच्छी बात है कि उसे बेल्जियम में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है, लेकिन उसे वापस लाने में कितना समय लगेगा, यह सोचने वाली बात है। यह संदिग्ध है क्योंकि वह भारत से जो पैसा लेकर भागा है, वह वापस नहीं आता तो उसे वापस लाने का क्या फायदा ? न्याय तभी होगा जब वह पैसा पीड़ितों को वापस लौटाया जाएगा। मेरे अनुमान के अनुसार, धोखाधड़ी की कुल राशि लगभग ₹200 करोड़ थी। मेरे पास सटीक आंकड़े नहीं हैं। लेकिन बैंकों के साथ धोखाधड़ी इससे भी बड़ी थी - कम से कम 10 से 15 बैंक इसमें शामिल थे, जिन्होंने उसे लोन दिया था।
