01:00Renowned tech entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban.
01:07Let's go, I can't hear you. Let's go.
01:11Yeah.
01:11Yeah.
01:19The unprecedented live Shark Tank event starts now.
01:24First in the tank are entrepreneurs on a mission to expose a dirty little secret about the fashion industry.
01:44Let's learn a little bit about the entrepreneurs.
01:47I'm Stacey.
01:48I'm Jeff.
01:49And we're from Los Angeles, California.
01:50I started working in fashion 10 years ago and really saw the amount of waste that is used
02:01in fashion as well as the amount of plastic that's used in apparel.
02:05It ends up sitting in landfill for over 200 years, breaking down into small microplastic pieces
02:10is that blue beer.
02:11That would be the campaign tagline.
02:12My career started off in advertising, working for big consumer packaged goods brands.
02:17When I met Stacey, I really had an itch to do something entrepreneurial.
02:20He brought such an amazing background that I decided to bring him on board and help build a brand.
02:25Hi!
02:26Eleven weeks ago, we added a new member to our family.
02:29When you're holding your son and you're looking into his eyes, you realize it's not only important to create a successful business
02:35because we have another mouth to feed, but to create a more sustainable future for him and future generations.
02:40I gotta go to the post office.
02:42Getting a deal with one of the Sharks is so vital.
02:44We need the capital and expertise to help bring our business to the next level and also change the world.
02:50Hi, Sharks. I'm Stacey.
02:54And I'm Jeff, husband to the boss.
02:56We're here seeking $200,000 in exchange for 5% equity in our company.
03:01Oh!
03:02Sharks, do you want to know a dirty little secret?
03:04Yes.
03:05In the U.S., millions of pounds of underwear end up in landfill every single day.
03:09And to top it off, most of our clothes are made with plastic-based fabrics.
03:12That's only bad for our bodies.
03:14But bad for the earth.
03:15So what if I told you we could turn this...
03:17Into this!
03:19Sharks!
03:20Wow!
03:21But there's more!
03:22What?
03:23Sharks, say hello to Kent.
03:24The world's first verified compostable underwear.
03:25That's 100% plastic-free.
03:26And 100% organic.
03:27So when their time is up, you can literally...
03:28Plant your pants.
03:29Wow.
03:30Just pop them in the compost, and in only 90 days, they turn into nutrient-rich soil.
03:46Our briefs, when composted, actually remove carbon and help reverse climate change.
03:50And best of all, our trade secret product design actually makes them stronger...
03:54And softer than conventional underwear.
03:57So Sharks, who's ready to revolutionize the apparel industry as we know it?
04:01And help us turn fashion...
04:03Into fertilizer!
04:04All right, all right.
04:09So, um...
04:10Wow.
04:11So...
04:12And now, Sharks, in front of you are your own Kent Basics.
04:14I was about to ask.
04:15And believe it or not, the soil in your flower pot is actually Kent composted underwear.
04:19This is...
04:20From the underwear.
04:21Wow.
04:22In here.
04:23Yes.
04:24So they feel nice.
04:25They feel like cotton underwear.
04:26They do.
04:27Very stretchy.
04:28They feel very good.
04:29Very comfortable.
04:30They actually feel a little bit thicker than what I expected.
04:32Yeah.
04:33Stronger and thicker than what I expected.
04:34Uh, Stacey and Jeff, let me...
04:36You know, you're...
04:37You're...
04:38Go ahead.
04:39Let me...
04:40I was just saying, well, you know, we're...
04:41You know, we're...
04:42It's live TV, but we were gonna see, like...
04:44Can we ask you guys to try them on, or is that too risk-out?
04:46I'll try them on.
04:47Oh!
04:48No!
04:49Fuck!
04:50Oh, no!
04:51You know what?
04:52I think...
04:53I think maybe we can.
04:54Oh!
04:55Oh, yeah!
04:56Looking good!
04:57Looking good!
04:58Kevin, look at that six-pack!
04:59Yeah!
05:00I like you guys.
05:01Nothing like these guys.
05:02All right.
05:03So, let me ask you, Jeff and Stacey.
05:04Uh, you know, you're a part of history.
05:05This is the first Shark Tank Live ever, and you are the first.
05:08So, are you nervous?
05:09Um, nervous.
05:10I'm not nervous.
05:11I'm not nervous.
05:12I'm not nervous.
05:13I'm not nervous.
05:14I'm not nervous.
05:15I'm not nervous.
05:16I'm not nervous.
05:17I'm not nervous.
05:18I'm nervous.
05:19I'm not nervous.
05:20I'm nervous.
05:21I'm nervous.
05:22I'm nervous.
05:23I'm nervous.
05:24I'm nervous.
05:25I'm nervous.
05:26I'm not nervous.
05:27I'm nervous.
05:28I'm just thrilled and honored to be here.
05:29Yeah.
05:30Honored.
05:32Thank you so much.
05:33So, how did you come up with this idea?
05:34Well, I spent about 10 years in the fashion industry and noticed that even sustainable fashion
05:38brands combated two big problems.
05:39One was landfill waste at the end of the product life cycle and two was microplastics.
05:44plastic so despite using responsible materials spandex nylon a lasting
05:49polyester still heavily used in fashion particularly underwear and I myself
05:54couldn't find a hundred percent natural underwear nor could my friends Wow so
05:58how is Kent fully compostable and how is it different from regular cotton
06:03underwear yeah well it's a art we have a trade secret product design as we
06:08mentioned so organic Pima cotton is a big majority of that but to give it its
06:13elastic qualities that's the trade secret compost as you may not maybe not
06:18everyone in America knows it's a man-made process right so it's not just like
06:21throw it in the dirt right you a compost is something you have to kind of manage
06:25and and and deal with in your backyard usually but basically at the end of life
06:30you hopefully a long life is a very high quality products it's not a lot of times
06:35people think compostable means disposable that's a misperception yeah so after a
06:39long life you will put it in your compost give it a few turns and about 90 days
06:44it'll break down into what is it that's our what does it cost to make it what do
06:49you sell it for one pair so one pair we sell for twenty to twenty four dollars
06:54depending if you buy it that's a little hot is that a lot for underwear yeah
06:59that's a lot for these it's slightly premium but I will say it's all made
07:04right here in America that's good and it's eight dollars and seven cents they
07:09are premium but what about sales what's your aggregate sales year to date so
07:14year to date we're at ninety nine thousand dollars first year two years ago we did
07:18thirty thousand second year we did a hundred so did you value this company at
07:23four million dollars well we're on page to do five how do you sell this how do
07:29you sell it eighty-five percent is D2C e-commerce fifteen percent is through one
07:34wholesale partner and we're actually launching with another major retailer
07:38later this year with Nordstrom's I have a question if I plant Kevin's underwear
07:43will a cactus grow how do I know it's not gonna melt when I put it on guys
07:55question for you I have another company that's compostable earth brand they make
07:58cups right yeah and you can't just throw it away like you said yeah what happens
08:02if you don't put it into cope compost so this is a great question we know that
08:06everyone in America doesn't have access to a compost so we created the fashion
08:11industry's first compost take back program so you can send your kind of
08:15end-of-life products back to us who's gonna send their old underwear
08:19you only have ninety thousand ninety thousand ninety nine thousand dollars in
08:26sales I mean that's what forty five thousand units right you know give or
08:30take how many people have sent their underwear back not many because it's
08:34not long because it's lasting a long time we've only done that kind of defeat the
08:38purpose we're only two years old though so most people haven't
08:40no I get that look the mission is great right what you're trying to do is
08:44amazing we need more of it every single product needs to be like this right every
08:48state every single clothing product in particular but the challenge is when
08:52you're that small right you have to promote more promote all the things that
08:57have to take place in order for the composting to work right I think that's
09:01true mark but I also think like the tape that program is so that we can make good
09:05you know to say hey if you live in a city you don't have a backyard but anyone in the
09:08backyard anyone that lives on a farm what are you what are your margin today and
09:13are you making any money we are about a break even right now we're running out on
09:1799,000 in sales you're breaking even not well no but we're this is we haven't hit Q4 yet
09:22which is a the lion's share so we're on pace to do 500,000 this year
09:26500,000 that's very cool because we're doing Nordstrom's we're launching men and we're also going to t-shirts
09:33I think you know guys I'll clear the deck right I think it's a great idea great product I think
09:40at your size it's really going to be hard to convey what needs to be done in
09:44order for the composting to work so for those reasons I'm out I think I
09:47I gotta be realistic about you like your numbers you're saying that you're worth
09:55four million you're making underwear for 850 and selling but 24 the average
09:59American cannot afford that and you do not have the sales to say that this is
10:04really that so unfortunately this is another compost deal I'm out I'd like to
10:09make you an offer I love I love a little company because it has so much room to
10:14run and grow and that's the satisfaction of all business I had a company a
10:19single product company I bought into in the first two years how does this sound
10:23a hundred million dollars in sales one product
10:31thousand and sale I'm shocked at how little that is although I hope you get to
10:34the 500 but I'm your girl here's my offer I'm going to give you
10:40one but it's aggressive I'm going to give you two hundred thousand dollars for
10:47twenty percent whoa hey Jeff you know what I'm curious about something you said
10:54audience who changes their underwear at least once a year let me know
11:00I have new underwear how many people I have new underwear changes all right Robert buy
11:05now changes or buys now I'm curious to this or buys I'm curious buys I'm curious
11:12what a big difference
11:18America how often do you buy new underwear text A B or C to 22854 now
11:27polls are only open for the next two minutes
11:42two shots around Stacy and Jeff have one offer on the table for their compostable underwear company
11:48Kent but Robert wants to know how often does America buy new underwear the results are in 54% of our home
11:56viewers polled buy new underwear every year or two every year or two
12:00that's a lot of volume guys
12:02Stacy I'm a big believer in an entrepreneur let me ask you this why
12:10should I or any of the sharks invest in you so when I started this company I was
12:16told no by everybody people said that this product could not be made in general or
12:21could not be made in America and this was something that I believed in so
12:25personally because myself my friends women needed this product and I was in
12:30relationships in the past with someone who didn't believe in me I eventually met
12:34Jeff who did believe in me and we have put all of our kind of evenings weekends
12:40vacations we've bootstrapped this business
12:42good for you guys
12:43good for you yeah
12:44so
12:45Stacy Jeff I know how hard it is to start a business and I'm not going to say no to you
12:51today
12:52okay
12:52because I believe in what you guys have built you're not getting enough credit
12:5699,000 in sales half a million this year let's go baby
13:00all right here's my offer and I am not greedy like Barbara over there
13:06I will give you the 200,000 for 15% because I believe in you guys
13:13let me just clear the field here 200,000 or 5% imputes a 4 million valuation
13:22that's insane I love your kumbaya story I hate your valuation
13:27our valuation is based on an 8x multiple
13:30I'm out
13:31okay
13:31all right Kevin thank you
13:33do you guys have a patent on this
13:34so we went the trade secret route
13:36good for you that's smart
13:37because we are a fashion product with multiple products
13:40trade secret all right all right listen I wasn't going to give you an offer
13:42but I've changed my mind
13:43all right
13:44because
13:44if you can do this with t-shirts I'm in
13:50because t-shirts I think are bigger than underwear
13:52I'm going to offer you 200,000 for 15% same as him
13:56equal offer
13:57okay
13:58wow
13:58all right
13:59so we all can go in together
14:00guys what are you going to do what are you going to do
14:02is there
14:03the slogan guy will not be up stood I'm going to give you the same offer as the other two

15:46we have three kids
15:48my idea started with my eldest ariana
15:51when she was a baby she would not sleep through the night
15:53she kept waking up and had breathing issues
15:56as a mom i knew that there was a need
15:58but i just thought i was crazy

16:37we're ready to jump in the tank and boogie
16:40hi sharks
16:51hi sharks my name is nina farzan
16:53and i'm her husband cena farzan
16:54and we're here asking for four hundred thousand dollars
16:57for five percent of our company
16:59what the hell
17:01wow
17:02have any of you sharks ever picked a baby's nose before?
17:05yep
17:06some of you may know that babies can't blow their nose
17:09and when they're stuffed up it's hard for them to eat and breathe
17:13our babies suffered from boogers
17:15yes
17:16boogers
17:18it kept them up all the time
17:20leading to countless sleepless nights for both us and them
17:23unfortunately everything on the market was for wet mucus
17:27but that wasn't our problem
17:28and that inspired me to create
17:31oogie bear
17:32the first baby booger picker
17:34i designed oogie bear scoop and loop to tackle all types of boogers
17:40and earwax
17:41our signature bear head design isn't just cute
17:45it helps prevent the tips from going in too far
17:48allowing parents to be in and out quickly
17:51it worked so great we knew we had something special
17:55sharks
17:56sharks
17:57we promise whoever picks oogie bear will sleep like a baby
18:01knowing that they're helping babies and parents breathe easier
18:07wow
18:08so
18:09tell me how did you come up with this design?
18:16so i was a working mom i'm a pharmacist i have my doctrine in pharmacy
18:23and uh... out of my own
18:26out of my own uh... just needing to function the next day
18:30i had to come up with something as a pharmacist i knew there was nothing on the market
18:34and as a mom you have to come up with a solution right you gotta get to work the next day
18:38and uh... i just came up with this product honestly i think i'm an accidental entrepreneur
18:44although mr wonderful i have the heart of an entrepreneur
18:48um... i wanted fifty other moms to really like this product
18:52and i never imagined that i would be here
18:54nina it's products i see a lot of other products
18:56yes
18:57yes there's lots of products
18:59you have the original oogie bear nose picker
19:01which is which one?
19:02right there in your hand
19:03it's the smallest one
19:05and then you have the bright which is the oogie bear with a light on it you got it
19:09yeah
19:10and then you have the toothbrush teether 360 which is the one exactly
19:13wow
19:14and then finally you have our version of the aspirator ball
19:17i have a question for nina you're a full-time pharmacist
19:20why did you leave that to come up with this idea and dedicate yourself
19:23that's a great question i think that's what my parents were asking as well
19:27uh... i... they were very disheartened when i told them i'm leaving my executive position for a...
19:32i think they were right
19:33yes
19:34but um... i i left because i think um... i i want to say it was a dare but honestly it was
19:40i think i would come i was coming up with a whole bunch of ideas and one day cina was like you know my nephew needed this
19:47and i looked at him i said i'm bringing this to market and he just looked at me and said let's see you try
19:53and that just
19:54that's what it takes
19:55that's what it takes
19:56yeah it just
19:57that sends a message to everybody you just gotta try
19:59you gotta do it
20:00nina what is it what is it
20:01what does it
20:03what does it cost you to make it and what do you sell it for
20:08so it costs the range that you see there anywhere between landed two dollars and four dollars to make it and we sell it from twelve ninety-nine to twenty-four ninety-nine
20:16guys what age group what age group is this set for
20:23so we market it from zero to twenty-four months because that's when really they cannot pick their nose
20:29but i was using my prototype uh... the actual prototype on my son until he was like he's gonna be so embarrassed i'm gonna say this
20:36but until he was like five years old
20:39he's so embarrassed right now
20:40i know
20:41he's gonna kill me i'm so sorry

30:09Thank you so much.
30:10Welcome back to the epic Shark Tank live event
30:20coming to you live in front of a studio audience
30:23for the first time ever.
30:25It's time for our final pitch of the night.
30:31Next up is a returning entrepreneur
30:33looking for a second slice of the action
30:36with an innovative solution for leftovers.
30:40Let's find out about the entrepreneurs.
30:52I'm Tate from Aurora, Oregon.
30:54This isn't my first time in the tank.
30:56I went two years ago on season 12 with the cheese chopper.
30:59Unfortunately, I didn't get a deal,
31:00but I used that as a termination to come back
31:02with a new product and close the shark.
31:04I recently purchased a farm where I live with my girlfriend
31:06and our beautiful baby, Kaisley.
31:08You want a peach?
31:08On the farm, we've got peaches, pheasants, goats,
31:11hazelnuts, and the warehouse
31:13where I come up with all my inventions.
31:15I also work as a lumber broker.
31:17With the cheese chopper,
31:18the shark said I was too early.
31:20I didn't actually have any sales, only pre-orders.
31:23We didn't have any customer feedback.
31:24With my new product, we've shipped it,
31:26we've gotten their feedback,
31:27and the people love it.
31:29Mr. Wonderful told me to take the cheese chopper
31:30out behind the barn.
31:31Well, I didn't, and it's still selling,
31:33but now I created a new product
31:35that all the sharks are going to want to take a bite out of.
31:38You got it.
31:39I'm ready to get back in the tank,
31:40and I have the perfect pitch.
31:42And you know, a good pitch,
31:43it's just like good pizza.
31:44It's all about the delivery.
31:47Mr. Cheese is ready for round two.
31:49Okay, Tate, there's some unfinished Shark Tank business here.
32:01You obviously did not listen to Mr. Wonderful.
32:03You did not take the cheese chopper out behind the barn
32:06and put it out of its misery.
32:07Why not?
32:08Well, not yet.
32:09Let's get through it.
32:10Is it still miserable?
32:11No, it's cruising right along.
32:13We'll get there.
32:14We'll get there.
32:14We'll get there.
32:15All right.
32:16Tate, let's hear about this one.
32:17Howdy, sharks.
32:18My name is Tate Koenig,
32:19back to give you one more chance
32:21to get in on a slice of the action
32:22as Mr. Cheese Pizza.
32:26Come on.
32:29Now, sharks,
32:30when it comes to leftover pizza,
32:31we've all tried to cram that big, bulky pizza box
32:34in the fridge,
32:34even though there's only a few slices left in it.
32:37It takes over the whole shelf
32:38and knocks over everything in the process.
32:40So I decided to think outside the box.
32:43Sharks meet the pizza pack,
32:45the expandable and collapsible pizza storage container
32:48that can store a single slice or an entire pie.
32:51Wow.
32:51Each pizza pack comes with five divider trays
32:54that not only keep your slices separate during storage,
32:56but double as perfect pizza plates
32:58when you want to microwave and reheat.
33:00And each pizza pack comes with a pop-top air vent
33:03to keep you safe from the dreaded soggy slice syndrome,
33:06even when reheating the entire pack at once.
33:09Wow.
33:10Sharks crust me.
33:11It's time to cheese the day.
33:13We are just preheating the oven on this legendary product
33:17that is literally history in the baking.
33:20But.
33:21Now, hold on, there's a but.
33:23We need your dough.
33:25And I'm asking for $100,000 for a 10% slice.
33:28All right.
33:28So corny.
33:29So, sharks,
33:30who's ready to start making some cheddar?
33:31Can we try the pizza pack?
33:33Yeah, of course.
33:34It's more you guys eat.
33:36Oh, yeah.
33:38It's dinner time.
33:39You need a little zonk.
33:40Oh, my, it's just awful.
33:43I didn't make the pizza.
33:44I just made the pizza pack.
33:45Do you guys like this idea?
33:46Yeah.
33:49Wow.
33:49You know, this is very well made.
33:52But what did you sell these for
33:53and what did they cost you to make?
33:54Yeah, so we've got down,
33:56we make these for $4, landed cost,
33:58selling them for $24.99
33:59with the plates and everything.
34:01Good for you.
34:01Would you guys pay $24.99?
34:03I just wanted to.
34:04Now, it's not just a pizza pack,
34:07it's a whole set of dishes, too.
34:09Yeah, I have a question for you.
34:11This is extremely well made.
34:14And it's very solid.
34:16It completely collapses,
34:17and it comes with all of that.
34:19Right.
34:20So, how does that bend?
34:22How does that bend out?
34:22You can reheat everything in this all at once?
34:25Yeah, you can either reheat single slices
34:27on these trays
34:27or the whole pack with all five or six
34:30in there at once.
34:31Wow.
34:31I wasn't around when these underachievers
34:33didn't do your last deal,
34:34but as for this one,
34:35how much, uh, how many in sales
34:38will you have?
34:39Yeah, so we just started selling this in April.
34:41Since April, we've done over $250,000 in sales.
34:44Wow.
34:45Now, how do you sell it?
34:46Well, let me say,
34:47in the first two months,
34:48we were pretty much out of inventory.
34:50$200,000, it was the last three months.
34:51How are you selling it, Tate?
34:51Are you selling it online?
34:53Online.
34:53So, we're on our website,
34:54The Perfect Pizza Pack,
34:55and then also on Amazon and Walmart.com.
34:57So, how are you promoting it?
34:58Uh, social media, advertisements,
34:59and then TikTok.
34:59And what's your return on that?
35:00What, sorry?
35:01So, are you buying ads,
35:03or just having fun?
35:03Uh, we're doing ads, yeah,
35:04ad spends.
35:05It's about $2.83 for customer acquisition costs.
35:07And this is all online, correct?
35:08Yes.
35:09And, uh,
35:10what is going to be your profit off of,
35:11uh, your sales this year?
35:12Uh, for the, this year so far.
35:15Anybody else?
35:15So, for $250,000,
35:16we'll make about $60,000.
35:17Anybody else make something similar, Tate?
35:19Uh, so, absolutely nothing.
35:20We have had one knockoff come out
35:22since we started.
35:23Uh, we have, uh...
35:24Are you patented?
35:25We're pending.
35:26So, we've got a utility
35:27and two design patents pending.
35:29We've been able to use of those
35:30to get everyone else shut down.
35:31There's one knockoff that's still up.
35:33Oh!
35:33As soon as that issues,
35:34we're confident we'll be able
35:35to get that down as well.
35:35How many dollars do you have?
35:36How many dollars do you have?
35:36How many dollars do you have?
35:37Two.
35:37Two partners?
35:38Two business partners, yep.
35:38How much do you own of the company?
35:4035%.
35:40Oh, wait, 35%?
35:42Yes, that's correct.
35:43How much money have you paid?
35:44No, no, no.
35:45So, there's three business partners,
35:47me and two others.
35:47Oh, so you split it three ways.
35:48We split it three ways.
35:48How much did you raise,
35:49or are you in debt?
35:50We've each put in $25,000
35:51of our own money,
35:52and we owe nothing.
35:53What do the other guys do?
35:54So, yeah, Matt Pichelle...
35:56And where are they today, by the way?
35:57I'm the sales guy.
35:58I'm the front man.
35:59They all have very good things.
36:01Charlie does.
36:01I wonder why, right?
36:02So, I have a question to ask you.
36:04What do you plan to do with the money?
36:06Inventory.
36:07We need more inventory.
36:08To buy inventory.
36:08Yep, that's it.
36:09That's what you need it for?
36:11Inventory and the play of the offense.
36:12To get ahead,
36:12we want to get as much space as we can,
36:14as fast as we can.
36:15Tate, I have bad news for you.
36:16Okay.
36:17I don't get this product.
36:18I really don't.
36:19And I had an Italian boyfriend
36:21in high school,
36:22and I ate pizza every night
36:23with his family.
36:24They never saved a piece.
36:25They ate it all up.
36:26I just don't get it.
36:27Wow.
36:28Okay, Tate.
36:28Unfortunately, I'm...
36:29Unfortunately, I don't like...
36:30I'm not finished, Robert.
36:32Excuse me.
36:32Oh, I'm sorry, Barbara.
36:33You better be sorry.
36:35I'm out.
36:37Tate.
36:37Okay, Tate.
36:38I didn't like the pizza.
36:40And I think...
36:41I mean, congratulations.
36:42This is a one-product company.
36:44I like to invest in a wider set of products.
36:47I'm out.
36:48Tate, your last product was a loser.
36:49This one's a winner.
36:50Okay?
36:51I'm going to make you an offer.
36:52All right.
36:53I'm going to make you an offer.
36:54I'm going to make you an offer.
36:55I'm going to give you $100,000 for 10%
36:58because I'm not greedy
36:59and I'm Mr. Wonderful.
37:00However...
37:01Royalty?
37:03Royalty!
37:05Royalty!
37:06Royalty!
37:07Okay.
37:07Here we go.
37:09Here's the deal.
37:10Because the audience wants it,
37:11I didn't, but they do,
37:13I'm willing to put a very small royalty
37:15of $2 a unit
37:16until I get my $100 back
37:17and then it drops to $0.50 in perpetuity.
37:20Take the deal, eat the pie.
37:21The P word, perpetuity.
37:23$2?
37:24Wow.
37:25He's got huge margins.
37:26That's crazy.
37:27You have a robbery.
37:28So, Tate, look, you have huge margins.
37:30He's right.
37:31And it only costs you $2.83
37:32for customer acquisition.
37:34Right.
37:34Why haven't you acquired more customers?
37:36Why haven't you ramped up?
37:37We haven't had enough inventory.
37:39So, once we've started,
37:40when we first started out...
37:41So, do you have a supply chain problem
37:42and you can't get it
37:43or what's the deal?
37:43We can now.
37:44We've got a bunch of...
37:45When we started in April,
37:46we ordered 1,000 of them to test it.
37:48We sold out in a matter of days.
37:49We ordered 2,500 more.
37:51Those sold out.
37:52We just got a big batch of inventory
37:53that landed a week ago.
37:54China.
37:54It's the best problem now.
37:55Hey, what do you need from a shark?
37:57Honestly, we need the money for inventory
37:59and the connections
38:00to do either a large nationwide pizza chain partnership,
38:04getting that retail space
38:05or something like that.
38:06All roads lead to Mr. Wonderful.
38:07Hey, I'm going to make you an offer.
38:08I'm not going to be greedy.
38:09I'm not going to ask for a royalty.
38:11I'm going to offer you $100,000
38:14but I'd like 20%
38:16because I want to work with you side by side.
38:19Oh!
38:20Don't even think about that.
38:21Yes, think about it
38:22because I can get you everywhere.
38:23That's ridiculous.
38:23I can get you everywhere.
38:26Awesome.
38:26Thank you very much.
38:27I love it.
38:28Look, Tate,
38:29I hate investing in companies run by inventors
38:32and you just jump from product to product to product
38:34but I like buying companies from inventors.
38:38So, we're going into commercial break.
38:41I want you to think
38:41what you would want me to pay
38:44to buy your company out completely.
38:46Whoa!
38:47Don't answer me now
38:48but when we come back,
38:49I want a number.
38:50Wow.
38:51Deal?
38:51Done.
38:52Done.
38:53Two sharks are out
39:01and Tate has two offers on the table
39:04for his leftover pizza container business,
39:06Pizza Pack.
39:07But Mark wants to know
39:09how much it would take
39:09for Tate to sell 100% of his company.
39:12Tate,
39:13what you're about to tell me
39:19is the biggest response to a question
39:22you will ever make in your life.
39:26You have a chance to be worth who knows how much money
39:29if you're fair
39:31and you give me a number that's reasonable.
39:35So, Tate,
39:37what's your number?
39:39Well, Mark,
39:39I think this has a long ways to go
39:40and a lot to make.
39:42We're just getting going.
39:43To get it from me today
39:45with everything ahead of it,
39:46five million bucks.
39:49Whoa!
39:49Boo!
39:52What do you guys think?
39:54Hey!
39:59Are you serious?
40:01Hey,
40:02you valued your company
40:03at one million dollars
40:04and I understand
40:05it was just for a percentage.
40:06Right.
40:06But that's insane.
40:07That is absolutely insane
40:08for a company with $250,000.
40:10Even though I like the product,
40:11that's why I asked.
40:13But you still have Mr. Wonderful.
40:14And you still have me.
40:16All right.
40:17Okay, all right.
40:18Yeah, look.
40:19Guys,
40:20I like the product.
40:22Look,
40:22I prefer my pizza cold.
40:24Normally I prefer it under the bed,
40:25but this is good, right?
40:26I like the product.
40:28And I like that you can stack it
40:29for kids and everything.
40:30It's a negotiation.
40:32So,
40:32okay,
40:33here,
40:33let's do it this way, guys.
40:34I'll let you ask,
40:35talk to these guys.
40:36But in the back of your mind,
40:38I want you to think
40:38of the right number.
40:39Okay.
40:40Because I can write the check.
40:41It's just a matter
40:42if you're ready to sell.
40:43Oh, so you want him
40:43to negotiate against himself?
40:45Yes, absolutely.
40:45I use you guys all the time.
40:47You know what, Jake?
40:48I'm going to change my offer.
40:50I don't think what you asked for
40:51is actually crazy.
40:51I don't think what you asked for
40:52is crazy.
40:53I love this.
40:54This is a huge licensing play.
40:56I can get all the NFL teams
40:58on this as well
40:58as the major chains
40:59will probably give it away
41:01after you buy
41:01a certain amount of pies.
41:03But I need to be one-fourth.
41:05Let's cut this pie
41:05the right way.
41:06One-fourth.
41:07All of us are equal partners.
41:09$100,000, 25%.
41:11Whoa.
41:12Whoa.
41:13If you buy a company
41:14of $5 million,
41:15why would you do that?
41:16What do you think of that?
41:17Tate, you know what?
41:18I believe in you.
41:19Listen, I just believe in you.
41:20I can tell instantly
41:21when something is a hero
41:22or a zero.
41:23And this is a hero.
41:25I love it.
41:26I want to be a part of it.
41:27I want to take the ride with you.
41:29Go.
41:29I am changing my offer.
41:33I'm going to take it down
41:34from $100,000 for 15%.
41:37In it to win it with you,
41:39side by side.
41:40I'll go to 20%.
41:42Wow.
41:43I'll tell you what.
41:44I'll go on two to a dollar.
41:46Okay.
41:47Down from two to one.
41:48Come on, Tate.
41:48But $0.50 in perpetuity,
41:50that's a great deal,
41:51and you get the only
41:52Mr. Wonderful.
41:54That's right.
41:55Lori, I think you're fantastic.

42:01at 12 and a half?
42:02You don't want to know
42:03what I was going to come back with?
42:04You know what?
42:04$13,000, you got a deal.
42:06You don't want to know
42:07what I was going to come back with.
42:07$13,000, you got a deal.
42:08What were you coming back with, Mark?
42:09I won't wait for a second.
42:10What was...
42:11So...
42:11Hold on, hold on.
42:15Can I hear what Mark has on for first?

42:19sometimes in the Shark Tank.
42:21Come on, Tate.
42:22You know what I can do for you.
42:25Ken, did you have something else
42:26you want to say?
42:27Yes.
42:27Can I hear it?
42:28No, Tate, you need...
42:30Come on.
42:30I was your dream partner.
42:31Okay, Tate, the number

42:40You get $1.5 million,
42:42you can go invent
