Transcript
00:00Please don't hurt me! I was just trying to seem tough in front of my friends!
00:04Well, you're in trouble now, lad. I've been a world-famous tough guy since I was 55.
00:09Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most notable reactions celebrities had to being lampooned on Family Guy.
00:18Adrian Brody. Adrian Brody? What happened?
00:22He didn't take it all that well.
00:23Right.
00:25Number 30. Dwayne Johnson
00:27Before becoming a Hollywood star, he had much humbler beginnings.
00:32In Big Man on Hippocampus, the real Dwayne Johnson simulates intercourse between Peter and Lois by smashing two dolls together.
00:48It's a simple premise with no dialogue, yet still managed to be hilarious, and Johnson agreed.
00:54He went on to discuss how big of a fan of the program he was, doing the scene as a favor to Seth himself.
01:01The two still seem to have a positive working relationship, so hopefully we'll get another appearance from the former WWE star again someday.
01:09Number 29. Dua Lipa
01:12Even something as simple as being mentioned in a Family Guy joke is considered a huge honor to some.
01:18Pop star Dua Lipa experienced this after being mentioned in Baby It's Cold Inside, wherein Stewie chides Brian for constantly commenting on her Instagram.
01:27Stewie, I still think it's a bad idea for you to have this thing in here.
01:30Yeah, not really looking for advice from the guy who puts a fire emoji on all Dua Lipa's Instagram posts.
01:35The show ties the line further by implying he'd even done so when she was a teenager, a risky joke that could have come across as crass.
01:45She's not going to respond, Bri.
01:46She used to respond before she had so many fans.
01:49However, Dua Lipa didn't seem to mind one bit, even fittingly reposting the snippet on her own Instagram.
01:55Though it was done to help promote cassette tapes for her single Houdini, it proved that she could laugh at herself and stay focused on her work at the same time.
02:03Number 28. Chloe Grace Moretz
02:06Sometimes, celebrity parodies aren't created by the program themselves.
02:12The outside world does it for them.
02:14This was the case for Chloe Grace Moretz, who had a photoshopped picture of herself compared to throwaway character, Legs Go All The Way Up Griffin.
02:22Peter's great-aunt, who had all limbs and no torso.
02:26I am going on a diet, and I'm not stopping till I look as good as my great-aunt, Legs Go All The Way Up Griffin.
02:31Hey, baby, do those legs go all the way up?
02:35The meme went viral online, quickly getting back to Moretz herself.
02:39It had an immediate effect on her self-esteem, as she claimed it worsened her body dysmorphia and caused her to become a recluse.
02:46Even though the joke had never been about her in the first place, it goes to show how even harmless jokes can end up having a negative real-world impact on those you least expect.
02:55Being kind with the words that you say to one another and the things that you say online, I think just compassion is key, and I hope that the world can, you know, have a little bit more of that.
03:07Number 27. Rachel Bloom
03:10Having your work critiqued by another show will always sting, even if the jokes are coming from fellow comedians.
03:17In this episode, Brian marries a woman afflicted with the disease, only to immediately regret it.
03:22It is so incredible having my appetite back.
03:27Mmm, I love you.
03:30Ah, shrimp. It's like I'm a baby bird.
03:33His apathy comes to a head while his wife excitedly talks about crazy ex-girlfriend, all while poking fun at some of the tropes found in the program.
03:42Unfortunately, the show's creator and star, Rachel Bloom, wasn't quite so amused.
03:47She stated that while she understood the premise of the joke, she could feel male condescension radiating from it, pointing out how they conflated watching her work with undesirability.
03:58So, a crazy ex-girlfriend sings this hilarious song.
04:02Uh-huh.
04:03It's all about how she's having her period, but the other guy she wanted to impress, the one who created the social media app, he walks in while she's singing, so now he's not into her either.
04:11Though she said she wasn't offended, it's clear that it still bothered her to some degree.
04:17Number 26.
04:19Cardi B.
04:19A celebrity doesn't have to visually appear in the show to get lampooned.
04:23Cardi B learned this firsthand after she got a mention in the episode, Pawtucket Pat.
04:28Cardi B tweeted something, and I retweeted it with this, this, this, this, this.
04:33She, or rather, her social media, was playfully mentioned as a way to mock Brian's faux intelligence during a job interview at an online publication.
04:42Said joke ended up being reposted on X, to which the rapper quoted with a sarcastic deadpan joke about becoming irrelevant.
04:50It continued the trend of her tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, proving she could dish it out just as much as she could take it.
04:57That is some top-shelf journalism.
04:59Number 25.
05:00Tom Cruise.
05:02Family Guy has never been shy about satirizing Tom Cruise, with some dating back to the earliest seasons.
05:09In recent years, they've dialed it up from cutaway appearances to a full-on schtick with the introduction of Tiny Tom Cruise.
05:16The humorous caricature depicts him as the same height as Stewie, with plenty of chaotic energy.
05:31Despite all the gags, Cruise has been a good sport, even appearing in an interview with Seth.
05:36The cherry on top was when he fired back after they asked him to voice himself in the role, with Cruise simply responding that the only joke was neither he nor Seth was tall.
05:47It was the perfect response, giving them the green light to continue with the bit.
05:52The key to a long career is the ability to laugh at yourself.
06:04No one exemplifies that better than Cher, who has maintained an illustrious career for several decades.
06:10In Quagmire's Baby, Peter takes to the skies to write a message encouraging the star to retire, serving as both a parody of Cher and the Wizard of Oz.
06:21Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go do some skywriting.
06:26Though she's the ultimate diva, her response showed she was anything but.
06:31She reposted a screenshot of the scene on her iconic ex-account, alongside a caption saying how she was still laughing at it.
06:38That sort of humorous self-awareness has only added to her status as an icon.
06:44Number 23.
06:45Stephen King.
06:46Not even authors are safe from the program's never-ending satire.
06:51Stephen King had been the subject of a few cutaways, but the real parody came in the form of a full episode.
06:57So I went to the library and picked up three books by the greatest author of the last thousand years, Stephen King.
07:04And tonight, I'd like to share them with you.
07:06Three Kings lampoons three of his most iconic novels, each one more hilarious than the last.
07:13They satirized everything, from characters to the plot, even calling out some of the inconsistencies in the stories.
07:20The show proved what good sports they were by asking for King's permission first, and he certainly didn't regret granting it.
07:27And even though I'm the only character in this movie who's not a criminal, I will be the bad guy.
07:31Tomorrow's lunch is American chop suey, so you came here on a good day.
07:36Good lunch?
07:37The writer complimented the anthology, going so far as to compliment the humor.
07:41Number 2.
07:43Lauren Conrad.
07:44Being the subject of a parody is one thing.
07:47Having an entire episode centered around you is another.
07:50Lauren Conrad appeared as a new addition to Brian's roster in We Love You Conrad.
07:55Hey, how about this one?
07:56You want to take a wizard on my id?
07:59You remind me of my stepdad.
08:01Just when you think the show will take the obvious route of calling her vapid and dumb,
08:05it suddenly subverts all expectations by revealing she's actually a multi-talented genius.
08:11The twist was hilarious, elevating the episode to a higher level.
08:16I can't date someone who's smarter than I am.
08:18I feel like Jillian.
08:19Oh.
08:21What?
08:22What, what, what?
08:22What is that?
08:23I think I get it.
08:24This isn't about me being smarter than you.
08:26This is about you still being in love with Jillian.
08:28How do you know that?
08:29Because I'm smarter than you, Brian.
08:31She maintained a good spirit around the whole experience, gushing in an interview about the
08:35process and the facts she had to learn for it.
08:38It was the perfect attitude for her to have, making her one of the best guest appearances
08:42to date.
08:43Number 21, Dax Shepard.
08:45One can disagree with the joke and still engage with it respectfully.
08:49Dax Shepard demonstrated that when he confronted Seth directly during an interview on his podcast,
08:54Armchair Expert.
08:55So I just wonder, have you moved through Hollywood and occasionally bumped up against someone that
09:00was sincerely hurt by the show or something?
09:02Yes.
09:03Like what you've just described is it's a very nuanced thing that is not as black and
09:08white as, as I once thought it was.
09:11The joke was simple.
09:12Lois wondered if Brian electing to not remove a tumor that made him dumb would have negative
09:17effects to which Dr. Hartman made a snide remark about Shepard.
09:22The implication of the actor's intelligence was clear.
09:24If Brian doesn't have the surgery, will he be all right?
09:28I don't know.
09:28Is Dax Shepard all right?
09:30Well, it seems kind of gratuitous.
09:31Dax explained that while he understood it wasn't punching down, it still wasn't appreciated.
09:37He even called out McFarlane and the show as a whole for presenting themselves as an outsider
09:42to Hollywood while wanting to be accepted by it.
09:45It was an insightful conversation that added a new perspective to the parodies they made.
09:51Number 20, Today Hosts.
09:53You know that you've made it when Family Guy makes fun of you.
09:56At least that's what the third hour Today hosts told themselves.
10:00Peter immediately catches Lois' attention when she mentions the Today show.
10:04While Lois is eager to talk about Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, she writes off the third
10:09hour hosts as nonsense people.
10:12Second hour with Hoda and Savannah, a third hour with the nonsense people.
10:16Second hour.
10:17Where is it?
10:18A few weeks later on Today, Dylan Dreyer, Chanel Jones, Craig Melvin, and Al Roker had a good
10:23laugh over the clip.
10:25Dreyer called it a career highlight while Jones jokingly blamed Roker for the savage burn.
10:30Craig was glad the two cartoon characters were watching their show.
10:34Considering that Family Guy is the king of nonsense humor, they should consider it the highest compliment
10:51possible.
10:53Number 19, Dan Rather.
10:55Have you ever noticed that when news anchor Dan Rather speaks, he sometimes puts a distinct
11:01emphasis on his S's?
11:03Almost as if he's whistling.
11:05To our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines in dangerous places.
11:09Well, the Family Guy writers noticed and you definitely will too after seeing this clip.
11:15As Stewie watches the news.
11:17Rather reads an alliteration where almost every other word begins with S.
11:22Several of Saddam's southern settlement squatters.
11:27This causes Rather to shoot steam out of his ear like a teapot, requiring a crew member
11:32to move him over.
11:34Rather hadn't seen the clip until someone brought it up on an Ask Me Anything Reddit.
11:38He responded with a reaction video, cracking up over the steam joke and proclaiming his
11:43love for it.
11:45So that's your reaction.
11:48Exactly.
11:49I love it.
11:49We wonder what Rather thinks about some of the show's other jabs at him.
11:54Number 18, Rush Limbaugh.
11:57On the political spectrum, Seth MacFarlane and Rush Limbaugh are on the opposite ends.
12:02You suck and you're terrible and you've been divorced several times.
12:07You'd expect Family Guy to take plenty of shots at Limbaugh.
12:11But you wouldn't think the late conservative commentator would lend his voice.
12:15Yet, Limbaugh made multiple cameos in the Laugh It Up Fuzzball trilogy.
12:20My good friends, the liberal galactic media is at it again.
12:24They never stop.
12:25Now they're trying to convince us that Hoth is melting.
12:27He also played a key role in an episode where Brian temporarily goes to the far right.
12:32Discussing why he accepted these guest spots, Limbaugh explained that he saw it as a chance
12:37to branch out from his fan base.
12:39Plus, he thinks MacFarlane is really talented.
12:41Despite the numerous Republican jokes, Limbaugh didn't find anything in the script that he
12:46wanted taken out.
12:47Since Rush Will Be Rushed, though, he did accuse Fox of burying the episode.
12:52You see, you're not really one of us.
12:55Oh my god.
12:57Lois was right.
12:58Number 17, Sarah Snook.
13:01If they ever make a live-action Family Guy movie, Sarah Snook of Succession should be in
13:07the running to play Lois.
13:09What, are your best pals with him now?
13:12Have you done a deal?
13:13They could even have Brian Cox as Carter Pewterschmidt.
13:16Peter references Snook's likeness to his wife when he sends a mean tweet to her.
13:21Fine, but I'm gonna tweet mean stuff at celebrities that look vaguely like you.
13:25Confusing Snook for her character, Shiv Roy, Peter tweets that her father will never give
13:31her the company.
13:31We don't think Shiv would appreciate Peter's comment, but Kendall Roy does.
13:36The same night the episode aired, Succession won big at the SAG Awards.
13:41Although Snook wasn't at the ceremony, she posted her reaction on Instagram.
13:45She also shared her Family Guy clip, citing it as one of three things that happened that
13:50day.
13:51The third apparently involved cookie faces.
13:54Number 16, Jonathan Lipnicki.
13:57We'd say that every former child star goes through an awkward stage, but let's be honest,
14:03everybody goes through an awkward stage.
14:05Ah, there's the cute little guy now.
14:07Hang on.
14:08Nevertheless, Peter is beyond horrified to find that Jonathan Lipnicki has mutated from
14:13the adorable Jerry Maguire kid to, well, this.
14:16Look what has happened to Jonathan Lipnicki!
14:19Oh, yeah.
14:21No, you're right.
14:22You should probably take care of that.
14:23Although some of his fans felt Family Guy went too far, the real Lipnicki tweeted,
14:28it was all in good fun, adding that he had done some voice work for the show.
14:32When TMZ asked him about the gag, Lipnicki stated that it was an honor.
14:37You know, they're great guys, so I don't take it personally.
14:39I think it's funny, and I'm honored to be made fun of on that show.
14:41Lipnicki also showed off his abs during the interview.
14:44Family Guy might have portrayed him as a pudgy, big-mouthed adolescent, but Lipnicki has actually
14:51gotten quite ripped, so we guess he got the last laugh.
14:55Number 15, Robbie Krieger.
14:57So, have you ever watched the Family Guy?
14:59Do you watch that show?
15:00Uh, a little bit.
15:02A little bit?
15:02Did you ever see the, uh, so, you know, they did a little parody scene of the Doors movie.
15:07I don't know if you ever saw it.
15:08I don't know if I saw that.
15:09All right, well, hit play.
15:10We'll see what you think.
15:11Peter is a lousy teacher, but he does give Chris and Meg a mind-bending lesson on film
15:17and music history.
15:18Venturing into the desert while tripping on peyote, Peter and his two eldest children
15:23pay tribute to Oliver Stone's 1991 musical biopic, The Doors.
15:28But first I must inhale.
15:31And again.
15:34And again.
15:38Let's go to the Hollywood Hills and kill a bunch of people.
15:41While Krieger was vaguely familiar with Family Guy, The Doors' parody had eluded the band's
15:47guitarist.
15:47Almost a decade after the episode first aired, Krieger filmed a reaction video for The Doors'
15:52YouTube channel.
15:53Krieger can be seen smiling and chuckling throughout.
15:56He even cracks up at Peter's final line alluding to the Manson family.
16:00Although he seemingly enjoys the bit, Krieger claims that The Doors didn't do peyote in the
16:06desert.
16:07At least, not altogether.
16:08Now you guys never actually went to the desert, right?
16:11You never did peyote in the desert?
16:13Not as a force, no.
16:15Ok.
16:16Number 14.
16:17Jon Stewart.
16:18Although Jon Stewart voiced himself an American dad, he's only been mentioned in passing on
16:23Family Guy.
16:24Steve, I read your sketch packet and I just had to meet you.
16:28According to McFarlane, though, he got an angry hour-long phone call from Stewart about a
16:33Family Guy joke.
16:34McFarlane didn't specify what the joke was or which episode it was from, but it apparently
16:40involved the 2007-2008 writer's strike.
16:43While both comedians supported the strike, Stewart would return to his show about a month
16:47before it officially ended.
16:49It's been theorized that the inside joke regarding Stewart saw Peter grow a horse leg and kick
16:54Brian for standing behind him.
16:56Whether or not this was the joke, Stewart wasn't pleased with McFarlane.
17:01McFarlane acknowledged that the joke might have crossed a line, but he stood by its message.
17:06He was not pleased.
17:08I think his response was, you know, well, you know, who the hell made you the moral arbiter
17:13of Hollywood?
17:14Which is, you know.
17:15Number 13.
17:17Gal Gadot.
17:18We can't say that Gal Gadot's Imagine Video was the worst thing to come out of March 2020,
17:24but what was intended to uplift humanity only inspired laughs and facepalms.
17:29Imagine there's no heaven.
17:33It's easy if you try.
17:38A year and a half after Gadot sang along with their fellow celebrities, Family Guy commented
17:43on the cringe-worthy video.
17:45Encouraging people to get vaccinated, Stewie notes that another variant could lead to another
17:50lockdown, leading to more of Gadot's singing.
17:52If the virus is allowed to spread through an unvaccinated population, it could mutate into
17:57a variant that the vaccines might not protect against.
18:00And then we're right back where we started.
18:02Gal Gadot singing Imagine.
18:04We cannot let that happen.
18:05Gadot has acknowledged that her well-intentioned video misfired, and has learned to laugh about
18:11she shared the Family Guy PSA on Twitter, writing, I promise I'll never do that again if you
18:17get vaccinated.
18:18Gadot even encouraged her followers to watch the whole video.
18:21Family Guy's official Twitter account responded, Since you're vaccinated, we forgive you.
18:25Well, you know, I just realized this is like one of those schoolhouse rocks, except, you
18:30know, without the rock.
18:31Yeah, it's like school.
18:33Way to end strong, Brian.
18:3512.
18:36Sarah Palin
18:37So what do your parents do?
18:38That's better.
18:39My dad's an accountant, and my mom is the former governor of Alaska.
18:44When Chris dates a young lady with Down syndrome named Ellen, she mentions that her mother is
18:49the former governor of Alaska.
18:51It's a clear jab at Sarah Palin, who has a son with Down syndrome, who was about two
18:56when the episode aired.
18:58On Facebook, Bristol Palin referred to Family Guy as a particularly pathetic cartoon, calling
19:04the creators heartless jerks.
19:06Sarah Palin shared similar criticisms on the O'Reilly factor, calling them cruel, cold-hearted
19:11people.
19:12Those in the special needs community truly are some of the most loving and compassionate
19:17people in the world.
19:18So why pile it on to them and make their lives even that much more challenging?
19:23McFarlane discussed the controversy on Bill Maher, noting that Andrea Faye Friedman, who
19:28voiced Ellen and has Down syndrome, released a statement saying that the joke was directed
19:33at Palin, not her son.
19:35Friedman added, I guess former governor Palin does not have a sense of humor.
19:40What Sarah Palin, I think, was doing was coming out and saying, I'm here to defend you.
19:44And what Andrea, the actress, had said was, you know, this is, I don't need this.
19:50I love my life.
19:51I'm very happy.
19:52Number 11, an audience of celebs.
19:56Stewie and Brian kick off the 2007 Primetime Emmys with a musical number paying tribute to
20:01television.
20:02Well, more specifically, all the garbage on television.
20:05CBS was once a network that was reverent and clean, but today they've got some shows that
20:11are remarkably obscene.
20:13Like the show about a little boy who lives with Charlie Sheen.
20:17The tune is set to the melody of the FCC song, which already borrowed from the show tune,
20:22Volunteer Fireman's Picnic.
20:24ABC has got a lineup that's refreshing and alive, with its hits like Desperate Housewives
20:29just continuing to thrive.
20:31And those women look sensational for being 65.
20:34Throughout the song, the duo references the surprisingly creepy premise of Two and a
20:39Half Men, the ages of the Desperate Housewives cast, and Isaiah Washington's dismissal from
20:45Grey's Anatomy.
20:46While Washington wasn't present, T.R.
20:48Knight was in the crowd.
20:50Now the peacock's having trouble simply staying in the race.
20:54So I hear they're bringing Seinfeld back to save a little face.
20:58And I hear Isaiah Washington is taking Kramer's place.
21:01The camera cuts to reaction shots in the audience with Charlie Sheen, Terry Hatcher, Felicity Huffman,
21:07Eva Longoria, Marsha Cross, James Gandolfini, and Edie Falco all laughing along.
21:14Their last jab comes at the expense of The Sopranos.
21:17Now the Sopranos is a show I'd recommend.
21:25Because you never know just how it's gonna...
21:30Number 10.
21:33George Lucas.
21:35Although Family Guy and Star Wars have Fox in common, well, Disney now, McFarlane and
21:48company likely wouldn't have produced Blue Harvest without Lucasfilm's blessing.
21:53Despite getting permission, McFarlane didn't have the best feeling when they screened the
21:58episode for George Lucas at his ranch.
22:00The crew half expected Lucas to say, you know what, we can't allow this to air.
22:05To their relief, Lucas laughed a few times, cementing his approval.
22:09I just want to tell you both, good luck, we're all counting on you.
22:13With the second Star Wars parody, Lucas did take issue with a certain four-lettered word
22:18and some other dark jokes, but he ultimately signed off.
22:22I love you.
22:24F*** off.
22:24With the third Star Wars parody release, McFarlane said, they don't allow everything, but they
22:30allow a lot.
22:31They allow Family Guy to be Family Guy.
22:34Wow, there are all kinds of manner of crazy monsters in here.
22:38Yeah, and they added even more for the special edition.
22:40Hey, what are you guys doing here?
22:42Roar!
22:42Number 9.
22:44Cary Elwes.
22:45Cary Elwes has many memorable roles to his name.
22:49According to Peter, though, his only noteworthy contributions to pop culture are The Princess
22:54Bride and Robin Hood Men in Tights.
22:57Dear Cary Elwes, I have been meaning to contact you for some time.
23:02Peter articulates this in a scathing fan letter to Elwes.
23:05Some celebrities might call or email in response to a joke like this.
23:10P.S.
23:10You were in Robin Hood Men in Tights.
23:13Did you know that?
23:14Elwes went a step beyond.
23:16Showing up to the Family Guy offices shortly after with a letter for Peter, which he read
23:21aloud in the writer's room.
23:23McFarlane reflected the way he did it was just so epic and classy and hilarious that
23:27we now know we've got to bring him on the show for real.
23:31Since then, Elwes has indeed lent his voice to several characters, including Dr. Watson.
23:38Amazing, Holmes.
23:39How did you know that?
23:40Number 8.
23:41Alyssa Milano.
23:42This might be cheating since Alyssa Milano was in on the joke, but it's still technically
23:48a celebrity reacting to a parody.
23:50Defending the cigarette company he works for, Peter makes a joke at the charmed actress's
23:56expense.
23:56Little does Peter know that Milano is watching the episode live, and she has a lawyer on standby
24:01to sue if anybody ever pokes fun at her.
24:05What kind of cheap shot, Joel?
24:07I'm suing, I'm suing, I'm on it, I'm on it.
24:09Fun fact.
24:10Joel is played by Ricky Blitt, one of the episode's writers.
24:14It'd be one thing if Milano voiced a caricature of herself, but having Milano make a live-action
24:19appearance is what makes the joke so memorable.
24:21Well, Milano didn't really sue Family Guy.
24:31Another celebrity on this list did.
24:33More on that later.
24:35Number 7.
24:36James Woods.
24:38Ooh, a piece of candy.
24:39Ooh, a piece of candy.
24:41Ooh, a piece of candy.
24:42Ooh, a piece of candy.
24:46Man, I hope that's James Woods, because if it's me under there again, I'm going to be
24:50really pissed off.
24:51Where many Family Guy caricatures require an impressionist, James Woods has voiced himself
24:56on numerous occasions.
24:58Woods was flattered when the show's school was called James Woods High, paving the way
25:03for him to guest star.
25:05Although he's depicted as an eccentric antagonist who torments the Griffins, Woods stated in a
25:092015 interview that he enjoys making fun of himself, so much so that he doesn't demand
25:15compensation.
25:16Family Guy is a funny thing because I just really enjoy making fun of myself, because
25:21everybody else is going to do it, I might as well join in.
25:24Three years later, though, the increasingly controversial Woods tweeted that he turned
25:28down a Family Guy episode due to its anti-conservative nature.
25:32Woods hasn't voiced himself since 2016, while the school has become Adam West High.
25:38Although his Family Guy days are likely over, we'd love to hear the unreleased recording
25:43sessions between Woods and Seth MacFarlane.
25:45What were some of the things you were saying?
25:47Oh, I could, I said burn those tapes.
25:49No, I mean, we were just, we were made, believe me, we make more fun of ourselves than anybody
25:53else.
25:53Number six, Willem Dafoe.
25:56We'd gladly take an evil monkey living in our closet over a green goblin under our bed.
26:01Through a cutaway gag, Stewie reflects on how Willem Dafoe used to reside beneath his crib.
26:07I used to have a Willem Dafoe living under my bed.
26:13Hey, you asleep yet?
26:15Uh, no.
26:18Just checking.
26:19Voiced by David Anthony Pizzuto, Dafoe pops his head out from under the crib, waiting for
26:24Stewie to fall asleep.
26:26The Oscar-nominated actor smokes a cigarette to pass the time, slithering back under the
26:31bed.
26:31Where, actually, do his legs go?
26:33Although Dafoe wasn't familiar with Family Guy, somebody told him to check out the clip
26:38on YouTube.
26:38It's weird.
26:39I mean, I don't know the show, but I know some people really love it.
26:43Dafoe thought it was weird, but he also found the cameo pretty cool, having a good laugh about
26:48it.
26:48Now, if only Joe could learn to pronounce Willem's name correctly.
26:53Yeah, I just love William Dafoe.
26:55It's not William, it's Willem.
26:56Yeah, that's what I said, William.
26:57He was in Spider-Man with Kirsten Dunst.
27:00Kirsten Dunst.
27:01Number five, Marlee Matlin.
27:03An Oscar winner and inspiration to deaf performers everywhere, Marlee Matlin has been parodied
27:09multiple times on Family Guy.
27:12Hi, Stewie.
27:14Oh, come on, Marlee.
27:15I know you can't hear them, but you gotta feel those things slapping out of there.
27:19In addition to neglecting her farts while passing by Stewie, Matlin struggles to book movie tickets
27:24over the phone.
27:25Please say the name of the movie you'd like to see now.
27:29The Last Mimsy.
27:30You have selected 300.
27:33While Alex Borstein voices her, Matlin's agent supposedly got in touch, asking why they didn't
27:39enlist the real Matlin.
27:40Borstein and Matlin later confronted each other on Seth and Alex's almost live comedy show.
27:46Matlin jokingly criticizes Borstein's impression and teaches her some suggestive sign language.
27:52You want to learn some savvy equipment?
27:54Yeah.
27:55Yeah?
27:55Yeah.
27:56Behind the scenes, Matlin defended the various
28:00parodies of herself stating,
28:02The day we censor humor is a sad one for sure.
28:05All I gotta say is, lighten up, people.
28:07Matlin would also eventually land a role on Family Guy, voicing Stella.
28:12Nice to meet you.
28:13What is this?
28:14We doing a new secret handshake now?
28:16No, Griffin.
28:17She's deaf.
28:18Oh.
28:19Can she read lips?
28:20Yes, I can.
28:21So if I do this, I can talk about what a sweet rack she has?
28:24Yes, but try not to make a boob honking gesture with your other hand while you're saying it.
28:29Number 4
28:30Adam West
28:31Outside of Batman, the late great Adam West is perhaps best remembered for voicing a fictional
28:37version of himself on Family Guy.
28:38So it's a shouting match you want, eh?
28:41Well, game on, Quahog.
28:43I'm beating you.
28:49Although you could argue that Mayor West isn't as absurd as some real-life politicians, he's
28:55still eccentric to say the least.
28:57McFarlane's collaboration with West began on Johnny Bravo, planting the seeds for the
29:02mayor of Quahog.
29:03Who are you, newcomer?
29:05Johnny Bravo.
29:05Oh, well, hand me that towel.
29:08Over the course of nearly two decades, West led a crusade against water stealers, dedicated
29:14a statue to Digum Frog, and destroyed the Noid.
29:17In various interviews, West has acknowledged how absurd his dialogue is, but he never had
29:22a problem with making fun of himself.
29:24You can tell how much McFarlane admired West, and considering that West compared McFarlane to
29:30Batman, the feeling was mutual.
29:31For starters, he has superhuman abilities.
29:35Number 3.
29:36Adrian Brody.
29:38Brief yet brutal, the season 9 premiere took a shot at this Oscar-winning actor's star power.
29:43Just for that, when the movie of the story comes out, I'm going to make sure Adrian Brody
29:48plays you.
29:49I guess that means you don't want anyone to see it.
29:53Okay, alright.
29:55But hey, that's not true, Tom.
29:57The house is packed when Meg goes to see that 3D movie where Mr. Brody does sit-ups.
30:02Of course, the 3D gets a little too real with Brody's nose poking out of the screen.
30:07One.
30:08Two.
30:09Two.
30:09Five.
30:10Despite making fun of him, McFarlane reportedly let Brody know at a party that he was a fan
30:15of the movie Splice.
30:17While McFarlane wanted to let bygones be bygones, Brody couldn't help but take offense to the
30:22mockery.
30:22McFarlane didn't go into great detail, but apparently there were hard feelings.
30:26I said, like, hey, I really like Splice.
30:28I hope there's no hard feelings.
30:30And essentially the upshot was, well, there are.
30:32It's also worth noting that Family Guy isn't the only McFarlane cartoon that made fun of Brody.
30:38Hello, beautiful.
30:40How'd you get so beautiful?
30:43How'd you get that sunshine in your smile?
30:45Number two.
30:48Liam Neeson.
30:49Liam Neeson is a great actor, but the Northern Ireland native doesn't put on the most convincing
30:55American accent.
30:56Family Guy made fun of this with Neeson, voiced by writer John Veener, struggling to play an
31:02all-American cowboy.
31:03Gonna take a fortnight at least to get this herd down to St. Louis on Mississippi.
31:08This glen's gonna be tough to traverse, and that river's gotta be 50, 60 meters wide.
31:13When Neeson's sons brought the clip to his attention, it marked his introduction to Family
31:18Guy.
31:18In an ironic twist, McFarlane contacted Neeson years later about starring in his cowboy comedy,
31:25A Million Ways to Die in the West.
31:27Neeson agreed to play the film's villain, but only if he used his Irish accent.
31:32I said I'll do it on condition that I can use my own Irish accent.
31:37Neeson has also voiced himself on a few occasions, including one episode where he beats up Peter.
31:43That's what happens when you make fun of someone with a very particular set of skills.
31:48That's right.
31:49I hear you've been all over town saying you could kick my arse.

32:08Number 1.
32:10Carol Burnett
32:11Some celebrities laugh along with Family Guy parodies.
32:15Others take offense.
32:16But legendary comedian Carol Burnett stands out as one of the few who actually sued.
32:22At Quagmire's favorite store, Burnett's Charwoman character from her Variety sketch show can
32:31be spotted.
32:32Wow, you usually expect these places to be dirty.
32:34Nah, it's pretty clean.
32:35Carol Burnett works part-time as a janitor.
32:41Although her screen time is brief and tamer than some other Family Guy caricatures, Burnett
32:46argued that Fox had committed copyright infringement and violated her publicity rights.
32:51Sources reported that Burnett sought between $2 and $6 million in damages.
32:56Judge Dean Praggerson ultimately threw out the lawsuit, citing the First Amendment as
33:01Family Guy's ace-in-the-hole.
33:02However, Praggerson said that he fully appreciates how distasteful and offensive the segment is
33:09to Miss Burnett.
33:10Hey, she got off easier than Jimmy Fallon did.
33:12And this is for laughing and looking at the camera during every sketch you've ever been
33:16in.
33:17What do you think you are, Carol Burnett?
33:19You think because she did it it's okay for you?
33:21You haven't earned what she's earned, buddy.
33:24Which celebrity do you think enjoyed their parody the most?
33:27Let us know in the comments below.
33:29Good to see you, Stewie.
33:30Good to see you, Tiny Tom Cruise.
33:32He likes to have the last word.
33:34Be well.
33:34See?
33:35Bye.
