00:00This is the true story behind Dexter, and it's genuinely chilling.
00:04In 1953, in the small town of Up Dog, Texas, Dexter, a red-haired boy with thick glasses,
00:11wasn't like the other kids. While they played outside, Dexter hid away in his homemade laboratory.
00:17His family knew he was brilliant, but they had no idea how far his curiosity had taken him.
00:23Dexter didn't just read books. He tested every theory he came across,
00:27no matter how dangerous it was. One day, Dexter mixed a chemical compound he had read about.
00:34The substance was supposed to dissolve anything it touched. He tested it on a piece of metal,
00:39and it vanished instantly. But some of the chemical vapors escaped, corroding several parts of the
00:45house. After that, Dexter started studying sound waves. Late at night, he would send vibrations
00:51through the air, hoping to move objects without touching them. Instead, the waves made the
00:57neighboring houses shake, causing strange noises that led the neighbors to whisper about the
01:01weird boy. One day, a new investigator who had recently moved to town heard those rumors.
01:07She began observing Dexter from a distance, trying to piece together the puzzle of the strange events
01:13around him. She realized that Dexter didn't care about the damage. He only cared about the results.
01:19His final experiment was a device designed to destabilize people mentally.
01:23When the investigator confronted him, Dexter calmly activated the device. She felt dizzy and
01:29disoriented, struggling to stay on her feet. Dexter just watched, taking notes on her reactions.
01:36Barely, she managed to shut down the device and escape. Horrified, Dexter's family destroyed the
01:41lab and left town. But some say his experiments still continue somewhere.
01:45Badly, she managed to catch up with her.
