00:00Full-time here outside of Anfield. Liverpool have taken another step closer to being crowned Premier League champions.
00:07A 2-1 win over West Ham United. Arna Slotts just says it as post-match press conferences that maybe the first game that Liverpool have won all season might be a little bit debatable because they weren't the best Liverpool.
00:21They're crawling over the line rather than sprinting over it but it doesn't matter because it doesn't matter when you get the points.
00:26But Liverpool have a professional performance maybe you'd say. Maybe they're over the luck of times. It's a cliché game too hard.
00:35Liverpool should have been well clear in the first half. They were excellent from the outset.
00:40Mo Salah fresh off Simon's new two-year contract was excellent. It really caused West Ham problems.
00:46Liverpool really caused West Ham problems consistently through the wide men, Salah and Lewis Diaz.
00:52It was those two combined. In the 18th minute, Salah got away from his marker, rolled across into the box and there was Diaz at the back post to finish from close range.
01:01He thought, are they going to start pressing the foot on the gas here?
01:06West Ham went close not long after that because Carlos Sol was saved by Alisson Becher and he did excellent to tip over the subsequent swap shot from Mohamed Kuzos.
01:16He continued to probe for Alexa McAuliffe had a chance. Come out of the second half, McAuliffe at the bar, free kick and nearly caught the West Ham keeper Areola off his line with a cross that was slightly sliced but it made its way towards goal.
01:34But the bill just took the foot off the gas then and allowed West Ham to get back into it because Pacheta really started to dictate play, picking the ball up deep.
01:43He had a few chances. West Ham just had a ball and saved by Alisson.
01:46Then Mohamed Kudel saved by Alisson and then really, really poor defense and calamitous defense.
01:53And yet again, Liverpool's behalf, they hit three poor goals at Fulham last week.
01:58They can see it is yet again a poor goal because Virgil Van Dijk and Andy Robertson just didn't communicate and it was a mixture of the two.
02:06We ended up scoring our own goal. Van Dijk hitting the ball into Robertson and hit Van away into the back of the net in the 86th minute.
02:12You thought, are Liverpool going to miss out a chance to edge close to the title?
02:15We all know it's pretty much done but they need to start banking the points and picking up the wins again.
02:21Three minutes later, Virgil Van Dijk marched up for a corner in a mood to rectify his error and he certainly atoned for that mistake because he lets Alexis McAllister's free kicker, corner, I beg your pardon, with a plomb, a bullet header, sending Anfield wild.
02:40Seven minutes to stop it's time given. West Ham fair enough to them, they had a big chance because Nicholas Fulcrook hit the bar off a header of his own but Liverpool held on to say.
02:52And now they just need six more points from as many games, two more wins to claim the Premier League title.
02:57It could be wrapped up as early as next weekend because if Arsenal lose at Ipswich and Liverpool win at Leicester City then Liverpool can't be caught.
03:05But maybe you're looking at Tottenham Hotsbury and in two weeks' time when it might be official, Liverpool win the Premier League title.
03:13Look, it was an important win for Liverpool.
03:17We know that this squad will need additions in the summer.
03:20It's going to be a big summer but they're going to be there.
03:22They're getting there slowly but surely.
03:25Liverpool fans, I don't think they'll be making too many plans next Sunday just in case.
03:29Certainly in two weeks' time then everyone will have to diary free.
03:34It could be a real party atmosphere around this stadium in two weeks' time.
03:38Maybe next week it might happen but yeah, it's another win for Liverpool.
03:43The charge towards the title goes on and Liverpool 2, West Ham 1.
