00:00Hi kids! Welcome to Mr. Book and Me Stories, where stories and creativity come alive.
00:08Today, we have a very special story about a little red hen who works hard to bake delicious bread.
00:17Until the bread is ready, what will happen next?
00:22The Little Red Hen
00:23Once upon a time, in a charming little farm, there lived a hard-working hen named Little Red Hen.
00:32She loved her cozy home, but more than anything, she loved to bake warm, golden bread.
00:42Oh, what a wonderful day! I shall plant these wheat seeds, and soon I will have delicious bread to share.
00:49But planting wheat was no small task.
00:55So, she went to her friends for help.
00:59She walks up to a playful, fluffy dog rolling in the grass.
01:05Woofie, dear friend, will you help me plant the wheat?
01:09Oh, planting? That sounds like too much work. I'd rather nap in the sunshine.
01:16Though disappointed, Little Red Hen didn't give up.
01:22She knew that hard work always led to great rewards.
01:27So, she fluffed up her feathers and walked to find another friend who might be willing to help.
01:34She walked and saw Whiskers the cat sitting on a wooden fence, grooming his soft fur.
01:44Whiskers, will you help me plant the wheat?
01:48Oh, dear. Digging is for paws much stronger than mine.
01:52I must keep my fur clean.
01:55Little Red Hen sighed again, but she wasn't ready to give up just yet.
02:01She decided to try one more friend.
02:06She goes to Quackers the duck near the pond.
02:12Quackers, will you help me plant the wheat?
02:15Oh, no, no.
02:17My webbed feet were made for swimming, not for digging.
02:21Can't you see how lovely the water is today?
02:24No one wanted to help.
02:26So, Little Red Hen planted the seeds all by herself.
02:31She watered them, cared for them, and watched them grow tall and golden.
02:37When the wheat was ready to harvest, she asked her friends again.
02:43My dear friends, the wheat is ready.
02:46Who will help me cut the wheat?
02:48Me?
02:49Oh, no, no.
02:51My feathers must stay clean for swimming.
02:54Cutting wheat is not for me.
02:55Oh, cutting wheat?
02:58That sounds exhausting.
03:00I think I'll stay right here and rest.
03:03Oh, my.
03:04All that dust.
03:06It will be terrible for my fur.
03:08I simply cannot.
03:11Once again, no one wanted to help.
03:14So, Little Red Hen harvested the wheat all by herself.
03:18Who will help me grind the wheat into flour?
03:23I'd rather take another nap.
03:26So, once again, Little Red Hen had to do all the work herself.
03:33Though tired, she didn't give up.
03:36She mixed the flour, kneaded the dough, and carefully placed it into the oven.
03:41The kitchen filled with the warm, sweet smell of fresh bread.
03:47The scent drifted outside, tickling the noses of her friends.
03:54Mmm, what is that delicious smell?
03:58Mmm, that smells delicious.
04:00Can we have some?
04:02Oh, but who helped me plant the wheat?
04:04Not us.
04:06Who helped me harvest it?
04:08Not us.
04:09Who helped me bake it?
04:12Not us.
04:13Then I shall eat it all by myself.
04:17And so she did.
04:19She enjoyed every warm, buttery bite.
04:24From that day on, Woofie, Whiskers, and Quackers learned an important lesson.
04:31The joy of working together, and the rewards of hard work.
04:35And so, on the little farm, they all lived happily ever after, baking bread, and sharing the delicious rewards of their teamwork.
