00:01Polling stations closed across Gabon on Saturday in a presidential election aimed at legitimizing the military's rule.

00:09Following the 2020 coup that ousted a 50-year political dynasty, vote counting began immediately after the vote closed at 5 p.m.

00:19Voters express hope that this election will ensure the people's voice is heard.
