00:00Today, Rupert helps the Wizard of the Wind look for Drizzle, in Rupert and the Cyclone.
00:17There's a little bear that you've never seen before, who's a lot of fun.
00:23Children everywhere know to love him more and more, he's the number one.
00:31There's a million stories to be told of the things that he's done.
00:37And he's gonna share them all with you, so come along.
00:44Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone sing his name.
00:51Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join, in all of his name.
01:03Come on, bedtime, says Mrs. Bear, shooing Rupert towards the door, just as the wind shrieks down the chimney.
01:15Oh, exclaims Rupert. What a funny noise.
01:20Yes, agrees Mr. Bear. We're in for a nasty storm, I'm afraid.
01:26Good night, Mummy. Good night, Daddy. Good night, Rupert. Pleasant dreams.
01:33Rupert is sound asleep in bed, when someone knocks at his window.
01:38And again.
01:40Who's there?
01:44He yawns sleepily as he sits up and looks towards the window.
01:48Wizardy whiz! There is someone there, exclaims the little bear, climbing out of bed.
01:55Why? Hello, Bianca, he cries as he opens the window.
02:02Hello, Bianca! For the two cloud children have come to see him.
02:07Hello, Rupert, says Bianca. I'm sorry we woke you, but we need your help.
02:14Yes, sighs Bianca. Drizzle is missing, and the Wizard of the Wind is in a terrible rage.
02:22The Wizard is going to make a cyclone to blow everything to his castle, Bianca explains.
02:28He says if he blows everything to his castle, then Drizzle will be blown too.
02:34A cyclone, gasps Rupert. But they are dangerous. We must stop him quick.
02:41He hurries towards his clothes. I'll just get dressed and come right away.
02:46Bianca picks up the oars and rows frantically.
02:52But the wind is really blowing now, and one minute they find themselves going one way and the next the other.
02:59Round and round they go until Rupert feels giddy.
03:03We'll never get anywhere like this, he decides. Let's call Willy.
03:10Willy! And Willy is there.
03:14All right, all right.
03:16Oh, am I glad to see you, sighs Rupert. Can you take us to see the Wizard of the Wind?
03:22Well, if you're sure you want to see him, says Willy doubtfully.
03:28He's not in the best of tempers at the moment.
03:30I know, but we must stop him making a cyclone.
03:34Willy agrees, and they're off.
03:37Willy hurtles them along at the speed of light.
03:40Night becomes day, and day becomes night.
03:43On their tiny cloud all cling together, till they reach the land beyond the weather.
03:54Willy is certainly right.
03:56The Wizard is cross, and presses buttons and turns switches on his computer so fast that lights flash and buzzers hum in the most alarming manner.
04:06Excuse me, sir, says Rupert timidly.
04:11Excuse me, he continues in a louder voice.
04:17Yes, yes, what is it?
04:19The Wizard turns towards the little bear.
04:22Ah, Rupert, have you found Drizzle?
04:25No, not yet, sir, says Rupert.
04:28But I'll go and look for him for you.
04:31Oh, would you?
04:33You know I can't understand it, sighs the Wizard.
04:36I pay him well, way above union rates, and he has nothing but the best, nothing but the very best.
04:43I'm sure you do, I'm sure he has, stutters Rupert.
04:47But please, please don't make a cyclone.
04:50It would bring him back, says the Wizard.
04:54It would bring a lot of other things, too, says Rupert, alarmed.
04:57And, and, but just think of the mess it would make of your garden.
05:01Hmm.
05:03Well, Rupert, if you can produce Drizzle in the next 24 hours, we'll forget the cyclone, he agrees, and switches off the machines.
05:15The wind slowly dies away, until it's a gentle breeze.
05:22Please stay and help us look for Drizzle, Rupert begs Willie.
05:30All right, let's go and ask Mr. and Mrs. Weather if they have seen him, he suggests.
05:36They reach Mr. and Mrs. Weather's house, and find the couple in a bad way.
05:42What a night, complains Mrs. Weather.
05:44I haven't been able to sit down for a single minute.
05:47In, out, in, out.
05:49I don't know what the weather's coming to.
05:51Whatever's the matter with that wizard?
05:54He's lost Drizzle, Rupert explains.
05:57Ah, I thought it might be that.
06:01Have you seen him, then?
06:04Rupert asks eagerly.
06:06He was looking for a comfortable bed for the night.
06:09But the cloud he chose was too lumpy.
06:12It was that one there, the cumulus nimbus, she adds, pointing at a large cloud.
06:17Oh, thank you, Mrs. Weather, Rupert calls, as Willie races them towards it.
06:22But Drizzle has gone, and the cloud is empty.
06:34Oh dear, yawns Rupert.
06:39I'm so sleepy.
06:41Looking for Drizzle among the clouds is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
06:47And we've only got twenty more hours.
06:50Time for home, says Willie firmly.
06:53Or Mr. and Mrs. Bear will be worrying about you, Rupert.
06:58Don't worry, says Bianco encouragingly.
07:01We'll keep looking.
07:03Here we are, me boyo, says Willie as they land on the windowsill.
07:07Now, hop straight into bed.
07:09Rupert steps off the windowsill, onto his bed, and...
07:13Drizzle!
07:15Eh, what?
07:17Who's that?
07:18Cries Drizzle, sitting up.
07:20What are you doing in my bed?
07:22Well, I had to sleep somewhere, didn't I?
07:24And here was this bed, see?
07:25All warm and comfy and empty, see?
07:28Oh, er, yes, says Rupert doubtfully.
07:31But why aren't you working for the Wizard of the Wind?
07:34Had enough, hadn't I?
07:36Well, I mean to say, caviar, smoked salmon, sherry trifle, champagne, the lot.
07:44You name it, and he computerises it, see?
07:47But all I want is a slice of bread and butter, a mug of cocoa.
07:51And Drizzle bursts into tears.
07:54Now, stop snivelling Drizzle, me boyo, says Willie firmly.
07:58And come along with us.
07:59We'll soon sort out that wizard for you.
08:02Oh, all right.
08:04Oh, I am glad to see you, cries the wizard, as Drizzle sheepishly enters the laboratory, and he pats his assistant on the back.
08:16Now, least said, soon as mended.
08:19I'm sure you must have had a reason for going off like that.
08:22So, how about some breakfast? You must be hungry.
08:25Wait, cries Rupert frantically.
08:28Please, please, sir, can Drizzle have some bread and butter and a mug of cocoa?
08:33Is that what you want, Drizzle?
08:36The wizard is surprised.
08:38I was thinking of a slice of pate de foie gras followed by a little pheasant with...
08:44But Drizzle firmly shakes his head.
08:47Just a slice of bread and butter, please.
08:50Very well.
08:52The wizard presses a button.
08:55The door of the computer swings open, and Drizzle gratefully snatches up a large slice of bread and butter.
09:02Another door pops open, and there is a large mug of steaming cocoa.
09:07Cool, says Drizzle with his mouth full.
09:10Don't scum.
09:12Yes, Drizzle, you're right, agrees the wizard, helping himself to a large slice of bread and butter, too.
09:19I suppose I did get rather carried away.
09:22We'll stick to the simple things in the future, like cottage pie.
09:27Bangers and mash, agrees Drizzle enthusiastically.
09:31Now, come on, Rupert, boy-o, says Willy firmly.
09:34It's time we took you home, and fast.
09:37Goodbye, calls Rupert, waving cheerfully.
09:42Mountains, valleys, rivers, and towns whistle past...
09:46Until Willy deposits Rupert home at last.
09:50Rupert lands at the front gate, just as Mr. Bear comes out to look for him.
09:55Ah, there you are, Rupert. You're up early. Breakfast is ready.
10:00Rupert is starving.
10:02But between mouthfuls, he tells Mr. and Mrs. Bear of his adventures.
10:07Well, you tell Drizzle to come to me next time, says Mrs. Bear.
10:12These computers are all very well, but there's nothing like home cooking.
10:17Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone sing his name.
10:26Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join.
10:32In all of his games.
10:33Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join.
10:34Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join.
10:48In all of his games.
