Ancien joueur de football américain, Colt, 34 ans, quitte le monde du sport pour rentrer dans le Colorado où vit sa famille. Son père, Beau, gère son ranch avec Jameson, son autre fils. Maintenant que tous sont réunis, ils ont bon espoir de maintenir l'exploitation à flot. Colt, qui a passé plusieurs années loin des siens, a toutefois un peu de mal à prendre ses repères, d'autant plus qu'il se révèle parfois maladroit et gaffeur. Une première saison qui renoue avec le genre sitcom et lui donne un nouveau souffle. Ashton Kutcher, tout en nuances, excelle.
