00:00A lawsuit that has been filed over that horrific American Airlines crash at
00:05Reagan National Airport, where it crashed into a military helicopter. A helicopter actually
00:10crashed into the plane. And the person who's suing is a helicopter pilot who, on social media at
00:19least, was blamed, I mean, almost instantly after the crash, within a couple of hours,
00:24was being blamed on social media. Saying that she was piloting that helicopter. And this is a social
00:32media influencer who has more than two million followers. A guy named Matt Wallace. And frequently
00:38tweeting, especially when there's big breaking news like this. And essentially saying, oh, this is
00:43DEI. She was flying the plane. Well, this is all about because Joe Ellis is transgender. And what
00:50Matt Wallace posted hours after the crash was this. My brother just found out the helicopter
00:56pilot was a transgender. They aren't going to be able to hide this much longer. Well, it's not true.
01:02It's not true. Joe Ellis was not the pilot of that helicopter. Although she is a Black Hawk helicopter
01:10pilot for the Army National Guard. So she has now filed a defamation lawsuit against Wallace saying
01:17that he has just, what he did to her was horrendous. And, you know, is saying he is transphobic
01:25and saying that, you know, this has just caused her enormous emotional pain.
01:31Right. Yeah. She called a notorious transphobe who knew an anti-transgender narrative would draw
01:37significant attention. So basically she's claiming that this guy.
01:41He did it for clicks.
01:42Right. Exactly. And if anybody knows anything about this guy, and you've probably seen him on X,
01:46but he, he does post a lot of very out there and a very, a lot of strange things. This guy is not
01:52part of like the, the mainstream right by any stretch of the imagination.
01:56And remember at that point, if, and I don't know if she spells this out in the, in the lawsuit,
02:01when he started making the whole thing about her being transgender, the president had already
02:06just going to say that started ringing the bell about DEI at the FAA.
02:12Like an hour, an hour after the crash, he comes out and says, he starts talking about DEI
02:18as if that was the helicopter.
02:20That's what's planned for the crash.
02:21Yeah.
02:21And so clearly that Matt Wallace felt he had this, knew that that was going to catch fire
02:27on social media.
