00:00A recent rape case in Lisbon has shocked the country.
00:05Three young influencers allegedly filmed themselves raping a 16-year-old girl and posted the video
00:11on social media.
00:12The images were viewed by 32,000 people and no one reported it.
00:17The three suspects, aged between 17 and 19, were arrested but later released by the court.
00:24Hundreds took to the streets demanding tougher cautionary measures.
00:28They are very important for cases so graves and in this specific case in which they are influencers,
00:34they have their platforms with many followers, I think it would have been, at least, just
00:40that they had been suspended as contas, while there is a investigation, of course.
00:43The violences are becoming more systematic and the law does nothing, it is only suspended.
00:50These youths did it grave, it is a crime, and women have to be protected.
00:56Political leaders who were at the rally argued that rape should be a public crime and that
01:02social media platforms should be held responsible for sharing this content.
01:08Ines Mourinho saw an intimate video of her widely released on Telegram and decided to create
01:14the movement Don't Share, which in 2021 became an association to support victims of image-based
01:21violence.
01:22The young people's early exposure to the internet has increased access to pornographic and violent content.
01:46When they see images of pornographic, they are going to deturpate what is the essence of
01:51sexuality and, therefore, they are going to absorb the concepts or the behaviors that are
01:57completely adequate to a normal life with a partner, with a family.
02:02And this, many times, is to hold up to the behaviors that they think that is the way of
02:07relationship with others.
02:09According to the latest annual report on internal security, in the analysis of juvenile crime,
02:15crimes of a sexual nature predominate, namely the sexual abuse of children committed by minor offenders.
02:22The Portuguese internal security system also highlighted the crime of child pornography
02:27on apps such as Discord or WhatsApp.
