00:00Are there some aspects of the Nigerian culture that you don't like?
00:08I don't like the tribal marks because sometimes the tribal marks are actually a lot on some people's faces.
00:14So some of them, when they are like children, they'll do these tribal marks when they are small.
00:19So it affects them socially, the way they relate to people.
00:23They'll be like shy to come out and talk. So I don't really like tribal marks on people's faces.
00:28Yes, I do not like the practices of early marriage and genital mutilation in some cultures.
00:34Because like that early marriage, the young females are not mentally ready.
00:39And the genital mutilation, it's a practice that should be abolished because it's very painful.
00:44The sacrificing of females, like let's say a community, you know, does something in the community, they commit a sin.
00:54So like maybe the chief priests will say that let's sacrifice females just to cleanse the land.
01:00I think that's barbaric and it should be abolished because those girls have a whole future ahead of them.
01:06And they have things that they could have accomplished, but they cut their life short.
01:10And also they go through many pains. So I think it's really bad and it should be cancelled, like really, really cancelled.
01:16The Oro Festival, like the Oro Festival, the way they do it, like females are not meant to come outside during those times.
01:24Even there are some times that, like I'm giving you for example, they do it in the midnight.
01:30But there are some people that will come back at midnight and some, they do take the women into captivity.
01:35So like I really do not like something like that.
