00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Prameet and in today's video we are going to talk about
00:05the Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider because this vehicle has got some updates for the
00:10year 2025 model. So let's begin this video and tell you what are the top 5 changes that
00:16you get in the all new Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider.
00:24Now the changes enhances on comfort, safety and transmission options.
00:29Let's talk about the pricing. The starting price of this compact SUV is now at 11.34 lakh
00:34which is around 20,000 more than the previous generation model. However, Toyota has not yet
00:39disclosed all the details variant wise and pricing wise. If you talk about the interiors and comfort
00:45features, the higher version of the Highrider now gets a 8-way power adjustable driver's seat and it
00:51also gets front ventilated seats that is really helpful for hot climates. Apart from that, the rear
00:58door gets sun shades and ambient lighting has also been added to enhance passenger comfort.
01:03Additionally, selected models feature an AQI monitoring system and also a tire pressure
01:08monitoring system as well. Now standard across variants are a 15W USB Type-C charging port
01:14and LED reading lamps. If you talk about safety enhancement, now Toyota has improved the safety
01:20by making six airbags standard across all variants of the Highrider. Now this includes airbags for the
01:28driver, co-driver, front side and curtain areas. Previously, only two airbags were available in the
01:34entry-level ENS models but now with this update, it will get six airbags from the base variant itself.
01:40Now some automatic trims will now come with electronic parking brake as well. If you talk about the
01:46transmission update, then the 2025 update includes a significant change in the transmission options.
01:52Now Toyota has replaced the five-speed manual gearbox with a six-speed automatic unit in the all-wheel-drive
01:58V variant. This change helped differentiate the Highrider from its sibling model, the Maruti Gran Vitara,
02:05which still retains the manual transmission for its all-wheel-drive variant. And this time,
02:11it gets new dual-tone color options. The updated trim also provides more variety and appeal to
02:17potential buyers looking for an aesthetic customization. So the dual-tone color option
02:22will definitely help in attracting a little more customers. If you talk about the power chain of the
02:28Highrider, the mild-habit version of the Highrider is equipped with a Maruti-sourced 1.5-litre
02:34naturally-aspirated engine. It's a four-cylinder engine that pumps out 103 bhp of power and 136.8
02:40Nm of peak torque. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available for the two-wheel-drive
02:45variant, while the automatic option is offered with the four-wheel-drive model. And that also
02:51includes a 12-volt integrated starter generator that assists in the start-stop of the vehicle.
02:57Now Toyota claims a fuel efficiency of up to around 21.12 kilometers per liter for the mild hybrid
03:05versions. The strong hybrid version features Toyota's own 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine
03:11that pumps out 92 bhp 122 Nm that comes paired to a hybrid system that includes a 0.76-kilowatt
03:19lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor. Now the combined output of the total setup of the
03:25hybrid unit is around 116 bhp, delivering through an eCVT gearbox, but it is only limited to a front-wheel
03:33drive version. But on the other hand, the fuel economy is an impressive almost around 27.7
03:40kilometers to a liter. Well, with all of these updates, we think that the Highrider has become
03:45much more comfortable, it's become safe and it's got better performance than before. So if you like
