87% of Christmas decorations come from China.

00:00While consumers might be the biggest losers of the ongoing trade war between the U.S.
00:04and China, there might be one clear winner, the Grinch.
00:07Chinese producers of plastic Christmas trees and decorations say U.S. orders normally start
00:11to come in by now, but they haven't received any.
00:14Eighty-seven percent of Christmas decorations sold by U.S. retailers are made in China,
00:19and those products are worth roughly $4 billion, and from China's standpoint, about half
00:23of what Chinese factories produce are sold to the U.S. market.
00:27Making matters worse, U.S. retailers can't even rely on its number two destination for
00:31Christmas goods.
00:32That rank belongs to Cambodia, which makes 5.5 percent of the holiday cheer.
00:36But Trump has imposed a 49 percent tariff on all Cambodian imports.
