A GB News presenter was left in hysterics after a Liberal Democrat reluctantly admitted there is a "Brexit bonus" in relation to Donald Trump's new tariffs on imports.GB News' Martin Daubney pressed former Lib Dem MP Mark Oaten on whether Brexit had delivered a benefit, as the UK faces 10 per cent tariffs compared to 20 per cent for EU countries. After initially resisting, Oaten finally conceded: "Oh a little one then. Martin you dragged it out of me," leaving the host in stitches.READ THE FULL STORY HERE

00:00Well, I think it's a strong commitment to localism, which Lib Dems have always had. But look, you've just had this huge debate in your studio. There's this huge global debate going on. For most people, what they do each day can't have an impact on that. But there is one thing that you can do as an individual if you're frustrated by all of this, and that is to back British products. Back our farmers, back the local shop, and just think carefully where you're buying your products from.
00:26Now, if everybody did that, it could have a huge difference. So I think it's patriotic, but it's also a sensible policy because it means we support our local businesses and our communities in this country. What's wrong with that? And finally, it sends Donald Trump a bit of a message that you can't push us around. We're also patriotic. We also want to support our country.
00:47Now, Mark Oton, there'll be 17.4 million Brexiteers at home throwing their hats in the air going, I agree 100% with Mark Oton. Support Britain. Support British farmers. Buy British produce. But when the Brexit party, when Nigel Farage, when the 17.4 million people said that in the past, the Liberal Democrats call them little Englanders. You called us xenophobes. What's changed?
01:13What's changed is Donald Trump has come along and started to break down free trade. Liberal Democrats still want free trade. We wouldn't want to be in this position.
01:22But there's a reality check here. We have to be seen to be doing something. We have to support our local communities.
01:27And there is nothing illiberal about wanting to back your local community to invest in local businesses.
01:33That's not a Brexit issue. That's a patriotic issue about supporting some fantastic talent, whether it's in the fashion industry, whether it's some of the best farming that we have in the globe.
01:44I think that's entirely consistent with a liberal policy, which also incidentally is about sustainable buying.
01:51If we're not travelling around the globe, if we're not bringing products across on planes and in boats, it's actually more sustainable to be buying locally.
02:00So for me, this ticks a lot of boxes. Mark Oton, I have never agreed more with a Liberal Democrat in my life.
02:07And as we're getting on so well, can I ask you a quick question? Do you concur? There's been a Brexit bonus.
02:13We should be thankful to Brexit because we haven't been hit by 20 percent tariffs. We've only been hit by 10 percent.
02:18Come on, Mark. You're going for Brexit today. Admit there's been a Brexit bonus.
02:22You're pushing the love in a little bit too much. I would argue that all of the things which have gone wrong outweigh this difference we have between 20 and 10 percent.
02:32But, but I have to say on this, I think Starmer is playing it correctly.
02:36Come on. There's been a Brexit bonus, Mark Oton, hasn't there?
02:39Oh, a little one then, Martin. You dragged it out.
02:42Yes! Well done, mate.
02:44See, what a loving, a loving reach at Zenith.
02:46Mark Oton, former Lib Dem MP, a fantastic interview. Thanks for joining me on the show.
