00:00My name is Manfred Brunel. I'm the CEO of Porsche Middle East in Africa. We are covering 15 countries
00:12across the Middle East, Africa and India for Porsche. Porsche is an aspirational brand and
00:17then you know the brand has a lot of history. It was we always say it was born on the racetrack
00:22in 1948. So if you look at this time right now Porsche always has taken cars to the racetrack
00:29and then develop the cars from there. And if you have such a legacy and then of course you
00:34have a 911 which you can recognize from a mile away, this does a lot to the brand. But a lot
00:41of innovations have been also going to our vehicles and as of today we can see that we have a very
00:46strong brand loyalty. Somebody who buys a Porsche normally wants to stay also with a Porsche brand.
00:51Of course the success factor of any strong brand is the product and if you look at our product
00:58right now we have currently the youngest product lineup ever. We have still a very new Cayenne,
01:03we have a new Panamera, we have a brand new 911 right now, we have a model update on the Taycan
01:09and we have the Macan which comes now fully electric. If you have all these products in the pipeline of
01:15course we expect also for the coming years a strong growth path. In the role as a CEO of course you're
01:20responsible for here for our people at the Porsche Middle East in Africa and all of our importers out
01:25there. So first of all we build a very strong team, people who love their jobs, I think that's
01:31very important. I think you can only be good if you love your job. Sometimes we have challenging times,
01:35there are circumstances in the countries which make the business difficult and I always say that
01:42strong relationships are being created throughout a crisis, not when the sun is up and the sky is blue.
01:48Only take on a job you really think you will love. I don't think that you should aim for strategic moves
01:55in your career. I always took on jobs where I knew this is a job I'm going to love and I also noted jobs
02:02where I thought this might not be the right thing for me. There are two principles which all of my
02:07employees know. Never take no phone answer and never postpone. Because if you take no phone answer,
02:13now sometimes you come up with a very very great idea, something very innovative and many people
02:20might say yeah but this will not work. If you take right away no phone answer you will never pursue
02:25your idea and you will never actually execute it. So let's be a little bit persistent. I don't want to
02:32say stubborn but persistent to follow through and really see whether this actually could become true.
02:38The other thing is never postpone. Sometimes it's convenient to say okay we can do this another
02:44day but I think if you do this too often if there's a chance grab it otherwise the competition will
02:50grab it. So never postpone.
