00:05apat na social media personalities ang nasight in contempt.

00:10Ang kumpanyang Meta naman na nangangasiwa ng Facebook,

00:13tiniyak ang mga pinaiiral lahat bang para masugpo ang pagkalat ng mga maling impormasyon online.

00:19Si Mela Lesmora sa detalye.

00:21Pinatawan ng contempt ng House Strike Committee ang apat na social media personalities

00:30dahil sa hindi na naman pagsipot sa pagdinig at sa umaripaninira sa joint panel.

00:36Kabilang na riyan sinasasrogando sa sot, Mark Anthony Lopez, Lorraine Marie Badoy Partosa at Jeffrey Celis.

00:44Mr. Jeffrey Celis, Ms. Badoy, and Ms. Sasot violates Section 11, Paragraph A.

00:54May I respectfully move that the three mentioned names be detained until the committee hearing will be terminated

01:05and be detained in the premises of the House.

01:15Sa panig naman ni Lopez na nag-vlog umano laban sa komite,

01:19siya'y makukulong ng sampung araw sa detention facility ng Kamara.

01:23Bagamat may mga hindi dumalo, marami ay namang vloggers at personalidad ang humarap sa pagdinig.

01:30Present ang mga opisyal mula sa kumpanyang Meta na siyang nangasiwa sa Facebook

01:34at iba pang sikat na social media platforms.

01:37Tiniyak ng kumpanya na may hakbang na sila laban sa fake news, disinformation at misinformation.

01:44We have a three-pronged approach to how we treat misinformation.

01:48Number one, we remove the most harmful misinformation that can lead to offline physical violence.

01:55Number two, we reduce the distribution of misinformation if it is found to be false by one of our third-party fact-checkers.

02:08And then we will reduce that misinformation on our platforms so that people are less likely to engage with it.

02:18And number three is we seek to inform.

02:20If people have engaged with misinformation on our platforms, we want them to be informed that they have indeed done so.

02:28Nadiskubre ng mga kongresista na wala palang opisina sa Pilipinas ang Meta, bagay na nais nilang matugunan.

02:34For us to craft meaningful legislation, we have to take into consideration the fact that there is no legal entity here.

02:40There is no baseline legal responsibility within the Philippines.

02:44There is no Meta-affiliated entity within the Philippines.

02:48And that's what I believe makes it hard.

02:49Kabilang naman sa iba pang humarap sa pagdinig, ang mga opisyal ng DOJ, DICT, NBI, PNP, PCG, COMELEC at iba pang ahensya ng pamahalaan.
