An investment analyst says there could be "more wobbles on the stock market", until countries decide how they will respond to US President Donald Trump's tariffs. But Dan Coatsworth adds that a slight recovery in Asian and UK stock markets on Tuesday morning "gives a small sense of hope".

00:00I mean today started very well we had upwards movements on the Asian stock
00:07market and then when the UK stock market opens later on they had the same thing
00:11share prices started to move a little bit higher now this is no way clawing
00:16back all of the losses that we've seen over the last just week but little baby
00:23steps really welcomed by investors anyone who's been looking at their
00:28portfolios over the last few days have been worried about what's going on and
00:32rightfully so it's all very alarming to see you know on the headline news people
00:38talking about share prices flashing red so when we see a more stable day like
00:44today it gives a small sense of hope now there's no guarantee that this is going
00:49to be the start of a big recovery but we take each day as it comes and today is
00:54certainly looking a lot more promising unfortunately what's going on in the
00:59world and anything involving negotiations with Donald Trump it's really hard to
01:05predict what's going to happen now we've got lots of countries queuing up to talk
01:10to Donald Trump and his administration try to negotiate those tariffs see if they
01:16can get those tariff rates to come down naturally Donald Trump is going to want
01:20something in return now those negotiations could last for four days for
01:26weeks potentially for months now until we get a clear understanding of exactly how
01:31each country is going to position going forwards unfortunately it does mean we
01:37could see more wobbles on the stock market now don't know whether those are
01:41going to be the same severe levels that we've seen in the last few days but it just
01:48it's an unsettled period and I think anyone who has money invested in the stock
01:53market should be prepared for some ups and downs but that's perfectly natural
01:58you look back in history we've seen plenty of examples of this sort of
02:02behavior before it's all about being calm trying to stay focused and just being
02:08patient
