00:00Well, it was nice to have a bit more money because they've given us a big increase the previous years.
00:07But then it's just disappeared because you've got the water rates, you've got your council tax,
00:13you've got your gas, electric, your food and your house insurance and everything.
00:19So as soon as we get an increase, it's disappeared, it's gone.
00:23Well, it's not really positive because everything has gone up.
00:27So they give it to you in one hand, but it's taken from the other.
00:31So I don't feel any better off.
00:34I can manage, but things are getting more difficult because obviously they're paying out more all the time and not getting anything in.
00:43Well, it is difficult.
00:44If you haven't got any savings, then you're stuck really because, like I say, everything's gone up, hasn't it?
00:52Literally.
00:52And you've got to live, food's gone up, council tax, like I say, insurances, your utility bills, everything.
01:03Things, as I say, things are getting more and more difficult and nobody seems to be able to help us.
01:09The pensioners, they seem to be having a down on the pensioners at the moment.
01:13Well, I'm just careful.
01:15I've got a little bit of savings and, yeah, you're just careful.
01:18And if you have to dip into things, you have to, to survive.
01:21And I'm having to dip into my private pensions now because I couldn't possibly last live on the state pension.
01:31Well, I just don't feel that they care enough about pensioners.
01:35You know, we've all worked hard all our lives and now we're penalised, really and truly.
