00:00This season takes place over the course of Holy Week, so there's some really pivotal moments in Jesus' ministry that happened this season, and it feels like we're like running out of time because, you know, the inevitable is just around the corner, and it's not quite tragic yet, but it does feel there's this urgency to this season that
00:30that we're all feeling, that sort of it feels unpredictable and unexpected, and we're just kind of trying to navigate what Jesus has told us very publicly, that what is about to happen to him, and so this season Mary is trying to stop it from happening, honestly.
00:52She's been listening, she's been paying attention to what's been going on, and she's wanting to help him in any way she can.
01:01She doesn't know that it's inevitable, you know, these characters don't know that it has to happen, but, you know, she's doing everything she can to try to help them.
01:10So Jesus tells everyone very plainly what's going to happen to him, and I think everyone deals with it in their own ways.
01:17I think a lot of the disciples don't want to believe it, nobody wants to believe it, and so there's this maybe denial or hope that it's figurative instead of a literal occurrence,
01:30and others are trying to maybe fight this from happening, Mary wants to stop it from happening, and she goes out to seek those who can maybe help her, maybe help stop this.
01:54I think the biggest thing that she's seeing occur is the Pharisees, the religious leaders, really misunderstanding or not wanting to understand what Jesus is saying.
02:10They're all so insulted by what he's been saying that they can't see him for who he is,
02:17and so I think she's almost wanting to, like, if they could understand who he really is, maybe they won't want to put him to death.
02:28And so I think there's just, there's a lot of struggles and a lot of politics going on,
02:35and in the midst of all of that, Mary is trying to navigate it, to maybe change the course of things.
02:44I think they've built a second soundstage, so I haven't seen it yet, I'm not in any of the scenes,
02:51but yeah, they've got these two wonderful studios, essentially, where they can build sets within them
03:00to keep us from the Texas heat, which is wonderful, and so, yeah, it'll be a surprise to me as much as it is to viewers
03:09whenever we get to see it, but from what I hear, it's going to be incredible.
03:14I don't know if I can share it.
03:16There were two scenes that I was really excited when I read them.
03:22One of them surprised me.
03:26One of them didn't surprise me as much, but I was very grateful that the writers included it,
03:32and, you know, there's one where a group of us women get to share with Jesus what he means to us,
03:43and it's just so beautiful to show these women taking care of Jesus in the way that he's taking care of everyone,
03:51and so I thought that was really lovely to get to see that in this season.
03:58And then there's another scene that I can't say anything about, but I'm very, very excited for everyone to see it.
04:03One of my favorites, yeah.
