00:00Raiders of the Lost Ark was the first movie that I saw in the theater.
00:08It's probably way too young.
00:09Indiana Jones is a classic.
00:11It's like a column of the history of movies.
00:14Being a fan of games, being a player first, and then all of a sudden to break into this world is amazing.
00:21Being part of an Indiana Jones game is just like an unexpected dream come true.
00:25Of course it was like an amazing opportunity.
00:28Ciao.
00:33This is my first mo-cap production ever.
00:37I don't have a hand.
00:39When I was reading the script, I was like, wow, we're going in all those places?
00:43That's awesome.
00:44And I was like, it's a mo-cap.
00:47The mo-cap experience relies on the power of imagination.
00:51So you have to have a great grasp on what you're going for and what is real.
00:56And it's important for actors to be grounded before they throw themselves into a mo-cap experience,
01:01which is quite different from being on stage.
01:04You're surrounded by cameras.
01:06Everybody's talking to you.
01:07Everybody's trying to give you a note.
01:09It's unnatural, man.
01:10You know, stacked up with all this gear and it gets in the way sometimes
01:13and you still got to figure out a way how to make it work and, you know, really be in the moment of the scene.
01:18Nobody's coming for you.
01:20Harrison Ford got the benefit of, you know, being on that set in that location
01:24and he puts on the jacket and he puts on the hat and he has the whip.
01:28What we do, all of those things are gone.
01:31And all I have is Velcro and a gray box and a camera hanging off my head about six inches.
01:38Best part is, it fits great.
01:40It doesn't change the performance at all.
01:42So for me, it's always more important about understanding not the shoes that I have to fill,
01:48but just the character that's there to inhabit that exists outside of all those trappings.
01:53Indy doesn't wake up and go, I'm not Indiana Jones until I put on the hat.
01:56He's Indiana Jones through and through.
01:58You have any idea how old that was?
02:00Well, I guess the most fun scene to shoot was almost any scene with Indy and Voss
02:05because it felt like a boxing match and I think that's what a good scene should be about.
02:08It should feel like a boxing match.
02:12One of my favorite moments is Alessandra and I plays Gina.
02:17It was one of the first big scenes where we get to really kind of understand who each other's character is
02:23and in that we're also kind of getting to know who each other as an actor is.
02:27It's a dance and you want to kind of figure out who's leading
02:31and what we discovered is that both of us like to lead.
02:34Let's see if you can keep up.
02:36What do you mean if I can keep up?
02:38So you create this connection between everyone.
02:42You have so many cameras all around you that you actually have everybody playing their parts at the same time.
02:49So when you are acting and you turn around, they're all acting with you at the same moment and it's so real.
02:56Our stunt crew do an incredible way of playing a multitude of characters.
03:00We made it, Henri!
03:02We were aware I think at all times that we're working on Indiana Jones
03:06but still we were able to keep it light and actually have some fun with it.
03:10But to really have the freedom to explore, that's important.
03:13We all have a lot of fun. Hopefully everything is like that, I don't know.
03:17You're jealous. You want to do it too.
03:20Everybody that is stepping foot on this stage is doing so because of the love that they have for this character and this franchise
03:27and nobody here wants to mess it up.
03:29Everybody here wants to get it right from the top down
03:32and all they want to do is make the kind of game that somebody goes,
03:36This. This is the kind of game that I've been waiting to play.
