The Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) disciplinary committee has recommended that the seven students involved in bullying a fellow student be expelled from the college.

Mara chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said in a Facebook post on Tuesday (April 8) that two of the students in a viral video were found to have been involved in physical bullying, while the other five were accomplices.

00:22In a statement on his Facebook page, Ashraf said he did not agree with giving the students
00:27a second chance.
00:28He said since the beginning of his appointment as Mara chairman, he has repeatedly reminded
00:33everyone of the principal hashtag, YouTouchYouGo, highlighting Mara's zero-tolerance policy
00:39against bullying.
00:41Meanwhile, police have opened an investigation paper into the same bullying incident after
00:47a one-minute-and-31-second video on April 7, 2025, went viral on social media.
00:55South Sebrang Perai OCPD Superintendent J. Januari Siowu said the case is currently being
01:01investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which involves voluntarily causing hurt.
01:07He adds once the investigation is completed, it will be referred to the public prosecutor
01:12for further action.
01:14The video, uploaded by the Utara Kini Facebook page, appears to have been recorded in a dormitory.
01:20In the footage, several individuals believed to be students are seen committing acts resembling
01:26bullying against another student who is lying on a bed.
