00:00Yeah, and someone who has been a fantastic addition to this Wolves team and will be for
00:04many years to come after signing a contract extension before the game earlier on last
00:10week and that's João Gomes. I know that he was probably your pick of the bunch potentially
00:15on Saturday. Just an excellent showing from someone who goes from strength to strength
00:20really in a Wolves shirt.
00:22There's only one thing we can do really.
00:28Standing ovation. He's some player, mate. He is some player. Now, we've seen it earlier
00:34in the season that because he just wears heart on his sleeve and he is a player that has
00:39a lot of, I suppose, passion and dedication to this football team. The way he arrived
00:44at the club with Leon trying to hijack it, him desperate to come here, eventually make
00:48him move to the Premier League. Sometimes that emotion can get the better of him. Fortunately,
00:55so far, we've not seen it in a similar way to Mateus Cunha or other players within his
00:59discipline, but I think he sometimes gets lost within a game. He's been so focused these
01:05last few weeks and I think what really impressed me, as well as his overall performance, was
01:10towards the end of that game, Wolves actually managed the game pretty well and weren't really
01:17clinging on because Ipswich didn't create a lot in the final few minutes, but there's
01:20a concern of a late sting in the tail, a late goal. His game management was fantastic. He
01:26looked after the ball so intelligently, took up really good positions and Richard Bress
01:31is giving him a little bit of freedom at the moment. He's giving him a little bit of movement
01:35to go further forward. He's got Andre behind him, who, by the way, could easily be on this
01:39list as well. Andre's been fantastic. He was very good again on Saturday, but having Andre
01:44behind him has given Djalgo that little bit of freedom and we've seen him impact the game
01:48further forward, as well as being incredibly intelligent with the way he retains possession
01:53and finds passes. I think he's a fantastic player. For him to have committed his future
01:58to Wolves, look, we know that if a team comes in and pays big money for him, and that goes
02:02for any player, there's always a price and a player will move on. But this contract means
02:06he's more likely than not to be a Wolves player next season, which certainly wouldn't have
02:10been guaranteed going into the summer without this contract. And his performances right
02:15now are proving to be that to be a massive Kuva Wolf. So I think he's a really, really
02:19good talent.
02:20Yeah. And discipline improved a little bit as well. One yellow card in his last five
02:24games, which just helped. I mean, I've got four games, I guess, if you played in Brazil,
02:28but you know, that's something that he's probably got to work on discipline wise. And yet at
02:33the same time, you don't really want to take that bite out of him, do you? So it's, you
02:37know, he's probably one of those who are going to pick up a suspension, but there's
02:40probably a few needless bookings in there that you can probably eradicate next season.
02:44Yeah, that that will always be the case. I mean, there's been a few earlier this season
02:47kicking the ball away and things like that, which I think can can be definitely eradicated,
02:52but you don't want to lose what he is. And if he's going to miss, I don't know, two games
02:57a season through yellow card suspensions or the odd red card here and there. I don't mind
03:04that. I can allow that because he's consistent. And to his credit, as well as being, you
03:09know, pretty much injury free for the majority of his Wolf's career so far, at least and
03:13touch with that continues. He hasn't missed a lot of games for suspension. It is only
03:17the odd one here in there. And I can I can forgive that because he's a player that will
03:20play on the edge. And I think the way that he he carries himself playing on the edge
03:27is far more intelligent than other players who play on the edge. And you could probably,
03:30you know, guess who I'm alluding to. And I think you don't want to take that away from
03:36him. So allowing him to to play in his his way will get the best out of him. And Vito
03:41Pereira is doing just that at the moment.
