More than sixteen months after he was killed in the line of duty, a memorial commemorating Brevet Sergeant Jason Doig has been unveiled in the state’s south-east. Brevet Sergeant Doig was a well-loved member of the Lucindale community, which turned up in poor weather to pay tribute an ‘exceptional’ man.

01:11to pay tribute, his distinct yellow Ducati watching over the ceremony.
01:16Last year when we rode to the National Wall, we visited each member of the family through
01:20Victoria and stopped and paid our condolences.
01:23His family emotional as a permanent reminder of his service was unveiled, but proud of
01:29his commitment.
01:30I thought, pay respect to him and what he did for his community and the fact that he's
01:35a member of our family and I'm very proud and honoured to be a relative of his.
01:39As Lucindale mourns Brevet Sergeant Doig, his alleged shooter remains in custody in
01:44a mental health facility in Adelaide.
01:46Jaden Stimson has pleaded not guilty to murder and not guilty to attempted murder of Sergeant
01:51Michael Hutchins.
01:53He's expected to appear in court on Monday.
